When this video was uploaded I was 9 years old...got my first internet connection when I was 11 years old and on 2021 I'm watching this...now I'm 16...goin to be 17 after few months...damn this is really epic! It's directed like an advertisement and edited like a music video but great special effects, a nice sense of humour and the soundscape was epic. Sounds amazing on expensive headphones.

From when I am in time watching, this vid was uploaded 8 years ago. But short as it is, it's awesome! The galactic war between Pleiades (The Nordic babe) and Alpha Draconis (the rep) with Earth in the middle was depicted so well. Great Show. Wish they made it into a series though...

Of all of the Dark shorts, I liked this one the best.
Had a clear beginning, middle, and end. Interesting characters (with humor), and good SPFX.
But the best shorts, in my opinion, were the shorts this girl was wearing.
I think I've seen this before. Well done short. I also like how he was gathering wood to build a fire for their campsite located a short distance behind the sign seen at 6:00 that says "No camping. No fires." :)
Watched quite a lot of these sci/fi fantasy shorts in the last few weeks, they range from good to brilliant thnx for your dedication 👍

SOMEBODY GIVE THESE GUYS A MOVIE DEAL! I never comment on anything, but I feel COMPELLED to make one here. Love the cinemetography--great POV shot dropping the cell phone back into bag...it catches you, as you don't see it used that way, and the final fight scene setup / shot was EPIC. I would consider it to be right at homne in the MARVEl MCU...it was just...FUCKING FANTASTIC. The writing / story was GREAT! It's truly lacking in modern professional movies these days. Even the music was great. WTF are these guys doing shooting movies for youtube??? They should be doing this professionally!!!!

Very nice, your production had a fine beginning an excellent story that kept you intrigued and ending that completed the story with a possible part 2. So many of these short Films leave you somewhere in the middle of the production and they call it the end. I will subscribe in hopes of seeing more. Thank you

Epic, engaging, sweet, humorous, deep and meaningful all in 20 min. BRAVO BRAVA!!!! Love it love it. Encore! These characters already have my allegiance. Regular guy chosen. The girlfriend is perfect. She's wonderful. A Selma H. if I ever saw one. ..I would watch if a franchise. Well done.

The acting, sound, production values and all the rest are the best I've seen and I've seen many. If this came out in 13 why am I just now seeing it? I look forward to part 2 and your other films. Looking forward to episode 2. Thoroughly enjoyed the special effects and storyline. gorgeous alien, nice arse. Our hero has got big problems coming by the look of the final scene.
Definitely enjoyable to watch. I like how, in the beginning, dude spots a tiny bright object on the ground and is then surprised when he looks up and sees a spaceship the size of a city block that's shining as bright as a full super moon on a cloudless night. Think I may have seen that first...Great job, though! When does the next part come out? I subscribed so I won't miss it!

Excellent. I'd watch 2 hours of it. Be nice to see the actors loosen up a little with more dialogue to work with, kinda get in to their own a bit more. Great cinematography, beautiful ship, great everything, really. Can't wait for the sequel. Watched this twice, now.

This story has been told a few times. Doesn't attract the big bucks investment money. That's why the guy's acting was a bit B-movie-ish.

Love the older sci to flicks. Made when I was young enough to be either scared or amazed. It didn't take much back then. Now, I really can't be scared, just amazing or amused.

I really enjoyed this short movie. The Reptile like guy looked like he was wearing a Super Mandalorian armour and weapons, and the alien chick that looked like a real life version of Rei Ayanami was extremely beautiful! I also like the part where the guy gets powers, he looked sort of Super Saiyan and I even thought he was going to turn into the green Ranger or something at one point. Indeed a very good movie!
I liked it, very well done. The reptilian effects were worthy of a big budget production and the story was tight.
I have to add that Francesca Gandolfo was wonderfully alien in the role, almost angelic with Elena Cucci being utterly believable. (And almost impossibly stunning)

Absolutely Brilliant B-Movie Nonsense. Just what i needed for a relax on my Friday Nite. I luv the way the goodie spaceship looks like a designer soccer shoe. I luv his Teen Wolf T shirt. I luv the alien ladies inability to do the Vulcan Sign from Star Trek. I luv The Tent being in a no camping zone. I luv the star wars opening sequence. I luv the ending. Thank you. We all need more good Space Comedy!

Nice short!
I like the screwball humour in this one. That the sci-fi-element blended with the humour pretty fine and elevated the film a bit above many similar short scifi-films I have seen here on UA-cam. The effects were really good from a realistic point-of-view in some scenes not in all scenes though. As an example the opening to the film before we arrive on earth felt a little bit cheap to some extent not entirely. As the story progressed towards the end the effects became better in time, in some sequences truly excellent.
But the best part of this film is the story. A pretty visual and complex setup and the execution of the story just felt right. In some sense I would suggest one started to think about the Steven Spielberg film "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" as we finally get a good sense of story. That the story is told in a *visual and coherent way* so we are dragged into the film. In fact at first I just expected a stardard sci-fi-tale with some good effects here we finally get to see some real story developed pretty strong.
I think the banter between the two humans talking about sex was pretty dead on. It didn't feel stupid rather cozy as if we just could realize these two characters didn't exactly mean what they talked about!
On the downside:
As I have said: The effects were not excellent in all shots. They looked a little bit computer-generated from my point-of-view. The female hero character from outer space felt a little bit "too old" perhaps, with that I mean she represents an artistic choice that maybe is a little bit dated nowadays. The same would go for the antagonist alien character. But they had some charm to them. Some kind of seeking into the old worlds presented in Star Trek and other productions as examples.
I would have loved to see a little better effects and a larger scale production so that the strengths of the story, the fun dialogue and the interesting visual concepts presented here would have been enlarged by better production-values.

With respect, the situation and design really reminded me of Moon Over Tao -a film I love and your homage, intentional or not, is still very original.

High quality music and special effects. As for the rest, very disappointing. Are the writers and producer's frightened to think above the belt, or do they think thats All Human's think about or are good for. They should've gotten in touch with Gene Roddenbury of Star Trek fame, Steven Speilberg of ET fame, or Chris Carter of X Files fame, or perhaps take a tip from the creator's of Paul. We're really in trouble if this is the best that the minds behind this piece, can come up with.

Audio and visuals are excellent, this audio is better than some of Hollywood Atmos movies! this movie proves the point, it is far more important than the way the movies audio soundtrack is mastered rather than what audio decoding ones using (atmos, dts-x etc) !!!

I mean what I say here: That alien woman is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my entire life of 35 yrs.
I dated her for about a half year, she's really sweet for an alien.

This is great! Like the little comic touch near the end...What about the evil alien's spaceship? You know what the bloody military's like, if they get their hands on the fucking thing, they'll end up destroying the Earth! Seriously, a fine effort. Well done!
You know what? This thing had me the moment the ship being chased took a hit, jettisoned the damaged part and turned it into a weapon, then activated the replacement part. Why TF the goddamn Enterprise doesn't have this functionality is beyond me.
