  • Colic is a common condition that affects approximately 20% of babies, usually in their first 3-4 months of life. The condition is characterized by prolonged crying, often for hours at a time, usually in the late afternoon or evening. Symptoms include clenched fists, a flushed face, excessive gas, and legs pulled up to the chest. While colic can be extremely distressing for both parents and babies, it’s helpful to know that a colicky baby is not an unhealthy baby.
