- You are likely here watching my video because you don't know how to use your dragy. Here is my atempt to offer free help to understand this device that came with no instructions on how to use.

thanks for the tutorial and im in the DFW area and know exactly where the tunnels you speak of are, thats mainly used for racing anyway

The best thing I got from it is that, a $800 phone connects faster than a $200 phone although they both work for making phone calls. Great inside buddy 😂

Hey was wondering if you are able to listen to music while recording thru the app. Was looking to purchase one so that I can record while I’m driving at night but was unsure if it would let you play music and record at the same time
you can have other apps open say like pandora. I run my ecuteck app along with the draggy recording data at the same time. I don't see why you couldn't be playing music in background app.

Thanks for letting me know. My dragy videos have pissed off or angered more people than I can recall. People think I was put here on the planet to only please them. This is the new America we live in.
So once connected does the device pretty much automatically start timing a run every time you accelerate from a stand still? Do need to connect right before a the disconnect it once finished. Otherwise it will start timing runs evertime you stop and then move again.
Yes, it records every run after the car comes to a stop and then starts rolling which starts the timer. This is what Ive been told and see how it functions. If its a serious race time, under the 10 seconds, this is located under the "Me" section of app under the "History" tab. This is where all the times are kept fast and slow. If you touch on the type of run you did "0-60 mph" it will upen a new screen. Here you have two options, under 10 seconds and Other. Any run under 10 seconds is stored under the "10s". The "Other" section is where the junk times go when not racing and the app is running. If you want the dragy app to stop recording and disconnect from the black/magnetic GPS reading device, log out of the phone app by touching upper mid screen/right side where shows the satellite signal strength. Will ask you if you want to disconnect.

My Dragy videos have been dogged on by some and some others find them helpful. The really negative comments take away the fun of making videos so I'm over it. Car videos and gun videos bring out the worst in youtube commenters. I think I took down my other dragy videos just so I didn't have to view nasty comments by people who themselves had no followers and pretty much no/zero content that they have tried to make. Why there's millions upon millions of YT watchers and nowhere near the same in people creating videos.
How do you use Dragy with multiple vehicles in your garage?
Can you separate your times, based on the car your testing?
I would assume based on the vehicles under your account, you can switch between them so the recorded data sticks to the specific vehicle.
I have only one car and I have only used the draggy for that car so I'm not experienced with having multiple vehicles in the "Garage" section.
With the battery issue can you plug it in and charge it as you use it or does it dran so fast that it doesn't matter if you plug it in at the same time?
Maybe you could. I got in the habit of attaching the magnet dragy portion to my exterior roof. Get the best reception and view to the satellites which equals best results. Honestly I don't use it anymore. the battery is shot and junk now.

It's the best video I got. Some people like to express that I' did a horrible job with my video so thanks for your encouragement. This little device can be tricky to understand with no owners manual. I just did this to try and be as helpful as I could and like to make videos.
Can you connect runs to cars in the garage?
In the garage portion of the app you can add/register multiple vehicles. I have not done it personally.
How do you change the user profile picture , I have a picture of some creepy guy in a business suit on mine and can't change it.
Any help would be appreciated.
With your phone open the app, wait, and then once open go to "Me" tab at bottom right. When opens up and you see tge picture, take your finger and touch the picture. Next screen view top right corner touch little box with pencil icon.
Next, should take you to the profile edit customization screen. Edit name, picture and location.

Nice video! One question though. What does DA stand for?
Stands for Density Altitude. Has a lot to do with the performance of a internal combustion engine. I look at it as the hotter outside and more humid then the higher the D.A. is. High D.A.is 2500+ to 3500 and what happens in Texas often. D.A. When its cooler outside 50-60's the D.A. is most often much better, but tire traction is down, lack of heat/temp in the road surface and tires. Readings in the 100's is night and day better than the 1000's. Places that usually have/see much better D.A. are Northwest and Northeast portions of the U.S. Drier air is better for hp than wet/heavy/damp air.

I'm sure there is a way plus you can screenshot the dragy time and stats and then send that too. I have not used my Dragy in in at least a year, maybe 2.

Likely because so many people have bought them, used them for a short time and then lost interest. In my opinion, kind of a sketchy item with battery life, battery overall life longevity and depending on phone can be a problem to use. Absolutly embarrassing of the company not to provide a user manual.
Don't buy new and save money but then you may be buying one that has a used up, difficult to replace rechargeable battery.

You have your phone is one device. Then you buy the dragy actual black GPS lighter sized device. Websters definition of a device as this item is: a piece of equipment or a mechanism designed to serve a special purpose or perform a special function.

The main item that's needed to make it all work is the official Burger Motorsports branded Dragy GPS electronic piece. That is what functions with the satellites in orbit around the earth up in the sky. Dragy phone app is just the means to see/record the GPS data.

Not sure why you got so many negative comments in your other videos, you were just trying to help, I still have not managed to get mine to record a run that I was actually trying to do fast, no idea why, have been doing everything correctly. In fact, its only ever recorded (and kept) 2 really slow runs when I had it on but was not doing anything other than driving around. It also did show one 0-60kph but never actually saved it anywhere it only showed it in the drop down on the main screen. Still don't know why there is a GO button that does nothing, an FAQ that does nothing as well, the app needs some serious work.
I agree a quirky device. Desperately needs defined instructions. Also, the people or this group of people in the so called car scene are a breed all their own that rarely can be satisfied. The world apparently revolves around them.

Driving on the bigger and faster roads/higgways/Interstates here in Dallas Texas is dangerous and risky due to people's tempers and their lack of morals and judgement. All just a sign of the times we are headed and not going to get better I feel.
What model dragy is this you have? 69 or 70?

I bought the DR70 10th gen, and out of the box it just says low sats, and no matter how many times i reset it, it has never connected to a satellite.
Is the DR70 the model number for the Dragy GPS device? Never heard of DR70 before. What state country do you live?

@Lloyd Christmas so does your dragy fully connect or not? You know what I've discovered...your phone/model/series has a lot to do with how the dragy connects and therefor connects to the satellites. My first phone drove me nuts. It would not or super sketchy to connect. Drove be bat-shit crazy because I didn't know what I was doing wrong. No instruction with the Dragy so first few months I was banging my head against wall 2 years ago. Then my 2nd phone was hit and miss too with functioning. Third and fourth phone Galaxy Series Samsung were so much better with getting the dragy device to actually work.
You should try connecting after loading app on a friends phone or family member. The more money your phone cost, the likely it better connects to the system of satellites and then the dragy functions.
@@GettingthruLife I got the pixel 6PRO, it connects to the Dragy, and says successfully connected, then the low sats constantly flashes with no change. I will try somebody else's phones but might be a while me, my wife, my kids, my best friend, his wife, and his kid all have pixel 6 pro's lol......
@Lloyd Christmas try just see. Called troubleshooting. Maybe in your area not a good connection in general. Also, makesure your dragy black plastic device has a open, clear view of the sky above 180 view. The dragy works either in far front windshield or rear back glass looking directly up. I've even gotten to the point I open my sunroof, and put the magnetized portion on my roof. No better spot and nothing getting in the way to interfere with good connection.

Or so you think it works just fine. To work to full its GPS potential and to be accurate, the Dragy magnet GPS receiver requires direct, and unimpeded access to the sky above. Has to connect to multiple satellites across the sky. Stated in the limited directions. It's just a fact and how this device works. Otherwise your run times/data will not be accurate. If you don't care about accuracy, then that's up to you.
That magnet is pretty good, I use to open my sunroof and gently stick it to my roof. Bluetooth communication from inside the vehicle easily reaches it. Note: even running underneath a bridge or bridges and even lots of trees along roads can throw off the accuracy.

That's a shame. Very frustrating I'm sure. Try using with a different phone and see if that helps.. My p.o.s. dragy won't hold a charge. Charge it full and a week later if not used low on battery.

@Evanb1234 The GPS black device does need clear access to the above sky to be accurate. I've seen if you go under a bridge for just a moment while making a run, it will throw off the recorded time.
you need to change the battery, I had the same thing, thought my battery was fine it charged, didn't go flat fast, but always always always low sats, replaced battery and boom, works fine now!
@@thehoppoMy Dragy battery life is crap. It's a POS. I've had it a couple of years. Battery life has dropped tremendously and it wont hold a charge more than a week sitting on the counter and its fully drained again. As far as I know, no way to put a new /replacement battery in the dragy black unit. I guess once your rechargeable battery dies then its junk/throwaway.
Appreciate your efforts in making the video, but... You still didn't answer a lot of questions I have. Just make the video like the manual that should have been supplied with the device. That means thinking about and planning the presentation in advance and covering the setup, operation and all of the features of the app. (in a systematic and clear fashion)
Really not my job to do but I just seem to do it for fun or what think is fun. Now if the people who own a product hired me to make an owners manual for them, then things would be different. What else, basic operation, did you need to have explained that I did not touch on?
@@GettingthruLife Wasn't trying to be mean or insulting. It's just that you appear to have a desire to make good videos (as this is the 3rd remake and you talked about how you desired this to be the "best" video) and just wanted to offer my suggestions. I also developed an interest in videography a couple years ago but haven't had much time lately to do much with it - too many hobbies, I guess). I find it extremely interesting to learn all that goes into making a good video and all the techniques used in professional videos. Along with that how a person comes across and speaks is very important and requires us to practice in front of a camera and watch ourselves, and interesting find things about how we speak and come across (as others see us) that we never realized. Nevertheless, sometimes it's hard to see ourselves as others see us.
I haven't used the device yet and I'm sure some of my questions will get answered when I do. But I do like learning about a device before trying to use it. I hate learning from trial and error. As far as some of the things I was looking to learn were about starting a recording of a run. Is there a button to press before starting a run or does it start when it senses acceleration. If the later how do I eliminate getting a bunch of false starts while I am staging the car for the run? I also saw the "Christmass Tree" in videos at the start of a run and it seems that you should start a run in a similar fashion as to being at a drag strip with the series of lights in the videos I've seen. However, I don't see how (or if) that can be done. Does that just appear in the playback. There are lots of other things about reviewing the data from runs.

I just make videos for fun and to share content. If you don't like something about me or how I do my videos, then just watch something else. Says something about the type of people who feel the need to critic others. Note : I will never get why people feel the need to complain about free content that they click on. @warwid5419 I have viewers and then Ii have just negative viewers like other YT people. Those group of viewers are very similar to each other from their channel details and documented prior posts. I don't have time for those.
I dont really care for the people who just want to be negative in general with intent to be hateful and mean spirited. If someone has a valid point then ok to discuss.
People who make video content or try to actually make some attempt to create videos, they have more courtesy and couth than those who just troll, complain, argue, throw criticism.
If someone dislikes my videos then the adult and mature thing to do is stop watching and watch something you do enjoy. No skin off my back. My videos are the way they are and they are free and it's just the way they are, the way I am. Some like and some don't. That's life.
I left in my car for a week and it needed a charge. Duh!!!!!
Batteries , every other device with battery last longer than a week especially when not being used, duh!!!! It's not drawing power like a cell phone sitting.
