The destroyed door opening genuinely looks like the kind of sequence you'd see in a scripted part of a video game with a derelict vault door opening. I liked the locking piston arm breaking off and the smoke, they really sold the effect.
just discovered this dude apologies, hes doing some pretty cool stuff, his mech factory is amazing. glad to see his worked show cased on your channel. much respect to you and apologies
Two things I love in builds: Small builds gone wild and advanced mechanics (other than scripts on a screen). Personally, my favorite build shown on LTG channel is the USEA Katniss which he reviewed many years ago.
Thanks for the review! I enjoyed seeing someone else blow it to pieces. To be honest, I never even tried it with damage on, just because it’s easier to build with it off. Thanks again!
@@shade7367 If possible, I do. But when pasting, and dropping stuff on the ground to be reoriented, and general clang, it makes it so I’m not constantly using the welder to repair. I’m going to trip load the world with damage on, and fix those thrusters 🙄

This is impressive as hell, but... i wish it was actually stupidly tanky. One warhead or a couple missles or a single fighter with a bunch of bullets would sbred a hole though this thing
@@nobob8564 Meh If you really need the functionality of a blast resistant door you can just stick one behind it and still have the cool door opening sequence while the blast doors quietly disappear before anyone notices
I can already smell my video die. We need SE2 - builds like these show that the engine can’t handle the straight sorcery bring made. Imagine having a whole base of this complexity and having it run smoothly.
I mean maybe it's not super tanky, but at least by vanilla standards I thought that was a pretty impressive display of structural integrity. It was hardly scratched by that rocket, thanks to the blast doors and how its blocks are spread out, and the truck did NOTHING when it hit! Sure it's mostly just pretty, but it's not really useless either... And really secure against hacking if it ever becomes an important mechanic
If anything, the half-broken door at the end would make for an awesomely detailed abandoned base raid, with all the red flashing lights and parts falling off while opening. And yet you have just enough height to walk through and maybe wheel a smaller vehicle in.
When I'm asked of why I whole heartedly believe Space Engineers is better than Minecraft, I say, "Minecraft is simple where as Space Engineers, by literal naming, is engineering." I'm a complete amateur when comparing to creations like these, but still awestruck and admire them nonetheless.
I am building a massive underground base. With mountain pass monorail. I need a fucking big ass fucking door on it now. Whenever I think I’m doing something badass there’s shit like this! Love it! Space Engineers is the crafter I have been looking for. I can’t tell how long I spent trying to do complex base builds in Rust or Ark only to hit the limits of what’s possible in a few days. Space Engineers is fucking awesome. The only thing stopping me now is my imagination... and our Lord and God Clang.
"lets open this up, and watch it, then we will do it again and look at the little detail", he says as the door first opens and he proceeds to move the camera and look at the little details
I noticed this door in another video and trying to build something like this in survival with damage on. Using autobuilders and heavy transport ships to build it.. got a whole control room with timer blocks just to operatie it😅 But, that being said. Damn you Clang oh mighty destroyer of grids and ideas
I feel like this is better than people think, if youre in a war and you lock this door, and damage it takes will make it harder to open, for example he shot one gear of multiple safety measures and the whole upper half could open due tue to the “dead bolt”
A door like this wouldn't be used as the main entrance. You'd probably find this deep inside your base / fortress, protected by an array of gatling and missile turrets.

@@LastStandGamers Absolutely haha.
it is impressive how cinematic this thing is, Apologies must have a boon from Lord Klang himself
@@genericuser984 It is impressive, I look forward to what else he or she intends to place in the structure.

Extremely over-engineered and complex for my brain to handle.
I LIKE IT! ❤

Maybe a weather proof door not ment to take kamikaze attacks.
I always build with damage on, but either way I'd never be able to make something this impressive. It's really a thing of beauty.

That malfunction was movie quality stuff. Loved it even when the door broke!
I maintain that the most secure door in SE relies on welders and grinders to create and delete solid walls out of existence.
Cogs similar to the ones in here can also be used to build an elevator for really heavy rovers :)
its awesome that it can still be used after being damaged

Looks over functionality.
This is the meta of all games.

That's what a voxel game can't do unless you mod in a door like this.
This is just a show of how to do it with in game blocks.
well if they damage the blast door and if it was made good enough it could lock forever which is a good feature
I absolutely LOVE this sort of thing!
These sorts of things are easily my favorite types of creations.
More videos coving creations like these plz.
Impressive piece ! Between this and Fallout, not so sure who did it best. It's absolutely neat !
Epic video! The turrets were really cool too props to the maker!
Super cool just needs a trap door to clean up the mess. :]
And with some more scripts, you could make the turrets auto track with time delayed for arming and firing
"So I've turned destructable blocks on"
Klang: "WHO DISTURBS MY SLUMBER?"
Door was awesome the detail was amazing and how it took damage yet still remained somewhat functional was great

my lord i couldnt have the patience to build that lmao
Haha bazooka go brrrr
this is the coolest thing ive ever seen on space engineers
Really cool creation
"Trust me im engineer" great video
As an engineer, that sporadic opening triggers me haha
The guy who created this has done others in the past and all of them blew my mind.
I'm shocked that Klang hadn't claimed it when you turned block damage on.
When your actually in a fallout, door: *5 hours later* still opening
Somebody had crazy amount of free time on their hands. XD
Freaking great doors though. Also PRAISE THE CLANG!

Let's just appreciate the "abandoned look" of the truck-destroyed door for a moment.
Oh wow...I thought this was going to be a modded block. This is awesome.
Nice to see it done without mods. Requires that extra level of ingenuity.
@@LastStandGamers Oh yeah absolutely. Especially since the door itself didn't break apart with damage on.
I thought you would fly a spaceship through the doors... meh, a truck. :-P
definitely looks amazing!
If you ever do a second season of Colony Wars with jack, you should use this door for a DRF base entrance!
Would spend the whole season building the thing haha
so much hard work for one torpedo to destroy it in microseconds.
literally everyone that wants to break in: uses grinder to get through

I would love to see a destroyed version of the door opening to old ruins
The door looks a little like the cinimatic opening of Starcraft 2, Wings of Liberty when Tychus gets "released"
In the words of Kevin Flynn (Flynn Lives!!!) "Now that's a big door"
Ehehe, giant complex door with cogs and on the backside you still have an unlocked unarmored door.

Insert the scene of a slug alien waiting for the garage door to open from Rick and Morty

How to blueball Clang. Amazing door!

I like the vault door looks very sci Fi
My godness, I mean, isn't there any camera movement smoothing setting or mod? It really hurts my eyes to watch all these super fast movements. XD
I'd add another level of security. Some blast doors to secure it even better.
Imagine if this is the door of your comfort room 🤣

Could be a door to both.
Jesus that title

Space Geiko's policy does not cover Acts of Clang
BEST WAY to lock someone inside forEver by throwing a wrench inside the gears ^^
very cool!

out of interest how many hours do you have in space engineers ?
I feel like the doors should be swapped around
Is it me or by design it looks similiar to black mesa doors not copy of them but they bear certain resemblences

how does one do this
The mechanism should be on the inside, armoured on the outside.
