What is triple threat? What is a pivot? Do you know how to jab correctly?
Join us as we teach you how to successfully perform a triple threat move into dribble combo.
The term "Triple Threat" in basketball basketball is a fundamental offensive maneuver used to create space and gain an advantage over a defender. When used correctly the move helps you become more adept at creating scoring opportunities, keeping defenders off balance, and breaking any double teams sent at you.
Remember to protect the ball. When jabbing the ball is going from hip to knee. On the reverse step the ball must relocate to be protected. When jabbing and stepping through we protect the ball with our hips and shoulders.

Here's our breakdown on how to do a Step Through Jab
    1. *Triple Threat Position*
    - **Stance**: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Your knees should be slightly bent.
    - **Ball Position**: Hold the ball close to your hip, ready to pass, dribble, or shoot.
    2. *Jab Step*
    - **Jab**: Use your non-pivot foot to take a quick, short step toward your defender. This is meant to make the defender react or shift their position.
    - **Sell the Fake**: Lean your body slightly forward as you jab to make the fake more convincing.
    3. *Step Through*
    - **Pivot Foot**: Keep your pivot foot firmly planted on the ground.
    - **Step Through**: After the jab, swing your non-pivot foot across your body and step past the defender. This step should be quick and decisive.
    - **Protect the Ball**: As you step through, keep the ball close to your body, using your non-dribbling arm to shield it from the defender.
    4. *Attack*
    - **Dribble**: If you see an open lane, start your dribble and drive to the basket.
    - **Shoot**: If you create enough space, square up and take a shot.
    - **Pass**: If a teammate is in a better position, be ready to pass the ball.
    Tips for Effectiveness:
    - **Footwork**: Practice your footwork to make sure your pivot foot stays planted and your steps are quick and precise.
    - **Balance**: Maintain good balance throughout the move to stay in control.
    - **Eyes**: Keep your eyes up to read the defense and spot open teammates.
    - **Variability**: Mix up your moves so the defender can't predict what you'll do next.
