As a magician I'm not at all angry that they "revealed the secrets" of cheap gimmicked props, those are just for fun & they're having fun, I would've never gotten into magic if it wasn't for Penn & Teller showing us how it's done. The only time anyone should have a right to be upset about it is if an original trick that took likely years to develop & perfect gets put on blast when the inventor of the trick hasn't sold it yet or revealed it publicly themselves, that's pretty reasonable because even the inventor can share their trick with other magicians if they so choose but those other magicians usually aren't going to reveal a trick that doesn't belong to them out of respect for the person that trusted them with the knowledge, of course unless they were given permission to publicly share it. Anyone who is genuinely getting mad that simple gags & card tricks that you can find in literally any book on magic are being shared likely aren't even magicians & they're probably so ignorant to believe this long running myth that there's a "sacred magician's code" that must never be broken but guess what? If tricks were never ever shared then there would be no new generations of magicians.
