This is so beautiful. I love the crochet pieces you sewed on as embellishments!!! I need a needle book like this. My needles are everywhere!!! TFS! Austin TX USA
Such a sweet & very useful needle-book. Very inspirational. Thank you for the tips plus extra bonus heart & flower bonuses. That little girl's getting a wonderful treasure from you!
What a beautiful needlebook and so many beautiful ideas. I've just been to the op shop and bought a large doily to use to start making some of these. 🌷
Its so sweet how your friends and husbands get together. Its also so sweet that you made the heart for your friend. Its a great idea to use it in a future needle book. I love your needle book. Its so practical.
Corrine, I know this is an older video, but I love seeing other people’s needle books. When you got to the heart, my heart sang! ❤. I love hearts. Thanks for sharing this. I will look to see if you ever did a video on actually making the books. 🤗❤️
Hi Corrine, love your little book, it is a real treasure. The two little metal items at the beginning of the first page are what I know as bodkins. You use them to thread, elastic, cords etc through a casing to draw up. One is a split bodkin and the other is just a plain bodkin. They are very handy pieces of equipment to have in any sewing book. Hope this is helpful. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks for your kind words.. Bodkins .. well that makes sense! I will leave them in there then! That will replace the old safety pin I use then..Lol (new technology…)
Hi Corrine! Love your little travel needle book. It is so lovely with the pretty snippets decorating it. Great for keeping your bits and bobs together and organized nicely. TFS I enjoyed the video. Happy Creating! Samantha
Hi Corrine, I may be wrong but I think those needle threaders are actually to thread ribbon thru beading trim and other type casings.Love your pretty needle book!!!
Bodkins pull cord, elastic, ribbon or other materials through narrow channels or casings, such as a waistband or the edge of a hood. Those tools are not needle threaders but bodkins.
So glad to read your comment and learn that what I have is a BODKIN, and not a needle threader (which is what it was called in a set of embroidery tools). Thanks! 🤍
Great ideas. I have been researching how to make some needle books. As of yet I don’t slow stitch. But I do junk journals. It makes such a mess. lol. So I want smaller projects to do while watching tv with hubby. But it will make great gifts for my sewing friends. And I can make myself a sewing kit for beside my chair. So thanks for the inspiration. Love the add ons. New sunnier. Thanks I have a disability with tremors. Is there some kind of glue that I could use. Just to hold things in place till I can get them sewn on??? Fabric glue sticks?? I do have 3n1
Hi.. there are a 2 glues I use.. art glitter glue - adheres fast .. I used it a lot in journal making and it also works on fabric And my other choice is basic glue sticks. You may need to test a few.
I struggle sometimes.. some are mass produced from India and China.. no problems cut it up! Handmade ones.. if you love it .. keep it.. our use it in its whole from! Damaged or stained.. give them a new life! Enjoy your stitching.. Corrine
@@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine what great advice! Thanks for that. I've just started slow stitching and hopefully one day will take your advice and don't overthink everything.

Yup, I think their called bodkins for threading ribbon and cords through channels. A bit fancier than a safety pin! 😂
Absolutely beautiful!

Bonjour, hélas je ne comprends pas votre langue, je commence à m'inspiré de vos créations pour en faire des œuvres a mettre au mûr.
