I mean, when you don't even know the differences between those two you are comparing. Then you obviously don't need the expensive one. It's kind of like comparing a Ford Ranger to a Ford F350! Of course ones a lot cheaper! One could argue they'll do the same task of getting you to and from work. But someone who actually knows the differences, they'll know exactly why it cost more.
Don't think I'll find a review comparing the Milwaukie to this Makita. Right now though the Makita is $75 cheaper - I'll probably go that route. Should be good enough for me.
@GearheadDaily I have a Makita 36V top handle chainsaw. Only annoyance is it has aggressive startup protection. Kind of like soft start which means it is easy to get the bar stuck. But I haven't seen anyone omplain about their pole saw. From videos I know the Milwaukee is good. But I'm doubting much better if at all than Malita. I hate that milwaukee is at 18V and needs high amp batteries.
@@boomupengineering I would agree. My Makita chainsaw is also kind of annoying with the soft start, but cannot complain about this pole saw. Only that i wish it was longer
"Chain"ge is good!! Great review! As luck would have it, I'm in the market for a pole 🪚. So, it's a good thing that I 🪚 your video. Do you think that given it's overall weight and balance. Would the lovely and gracious Mrs. Chandler be able to use it? I hope you and your family are doing well. FYI, Blane has just turned 17, and we still have your book. BTW, What are you daily driving these days? #BeardAndMoustacheOnPoint
Do you think the 'stand' at the head of the saw is actually a hook to help dislodge loose branches?
Possible, but it seems more like it gets in the way to me, rather than be helpful to remove branches
Have you tried it with the 40v backpack battery pack (w/36v adapter)? How do that affect the weight and balance?
I haven't, and didn't know that existed, but i would suspect it would make it heavier?
Chain. Is the powerhead compatible with other Makita attachments?
I don't think so, it's a drive shaft. So not sure how that would work
I never could get my drive shaft to connect. Worked hours trying to get it to work. Waist of $1400.
@@TheRusselmuscle it was a bit fiddly, but I got it. Once it's in there it's done
Nice review, really want one of these, but don't want to pay $500+ when the Dewalt one is $120 and I can use a battery adapter for Makita batteries.
if it works for you.

@@boomupengineering Makita makes quality tools. I don't think you'd go wrong here

Still driving my pickup! With the harness its doable, but keep in mind its heavy at full length.
Thanks Greg!
