    The middle class always gets the short end of the stick. Not poor enough to get any help, not rich enough to hire help or even be able to pay for everything yourself. I have definitely experienced this when I was a young mom and I received WIC and Medicaid for my children and now that I have done well for myself having to actually pay taxes. And yet I still have to count budget for each and every single cent that I earn and spend. It really sucks. Can’t get the best of either world.

    My job gave me a 2% raise and a $2,000 bonus. Every year they say it’s better than nothing. That to me is wild. My company posts to annual earnings every year too. The company made a billion dollars last year. With a B. It didn’t hit me as hard because I work a second job. This year they sent an email raising the performance standards before anyone is considered for a raise next year. We have never hit that new performance standard number and I’ve worked for this company for 17 years. 🤷🏽‍♀️. So how can you tell me you don’t want to give raises without saying you don’t want to give raises 🤔. The CEO makes 20 million just for reference. And gets a 2 million dollar bonus. The average worker makes $50,0000.

If you look in the old testament God allowed the nation of Israel to plunge into chaos because they demanded king Saul as their king when God wanted David instead but God relented and let them have king Saul and he nearly destroyed the country. America and its economy will get what it votes for.

    They are squeezing the middle class. I've been studying hyperinflation in counties such as Lebanon and Venezuela to see how they are surviving. We are not far away from entering hyperinflation at the phase this country is going. We must prepare. Too many people sleeping on how worse things really can get. At this point, it's best to sharpen your skillsets and learn to garden at this point. Pick up some side hustles.

    • @notabot2928
      @notabot2928 Місяць тому +2

      Cant garden in an apartment but i agree however we shouldn’t have to hustle side jobs or overwork just to survive that is third world inflationary stuff. If America votes Biden in again and democrats control congress you’re country is finished they’re economic and political tactics are the same as a third world country I’m in where inflation has ravaged everything from food, gas and rent etc… Foreign Investors are pulling out especially New York and not buying US treasury bills are nosediving because they see the biggest economy and democracy in the world attempting to jail or remove theyre political opposition from ballots. Something they thought they would never see in America.

    I've been working 2 jobs since the year began. I'm making good money between the two, but I'm definitely trying to go down to 1 that pays more than the 2 combined. At my part time job I am off for the summer, since I work as a para-professional. I came so close to quitting the 2nd job last month, but I'm glad I didnt because I would have missed having 2 paydays every two weeks.
    Its definitely not easy working 2 jobs, especially when you dont live in the city you work in. My 45-minute commute doesnt help my situation but I love my apartment and I like the city I live in so I can't see myself moving. It would be nice to be able to work from home.

    Thank you for this. 2020 came and I was unemployed for a few months, then 2021 we moved into our first house which cost a lot of money (the move, furniture, etc), then within a year of this my husband got diagnosed with cancer and has just started going back to work after nearly two years of being on partial disability (majority of time was not working). Oh and he is the major source of income for our household as he makes 2.5 times more than I do based on the type of work he does. It’s been a struggle for sure and on top of that we have had a couple house renovations that needed to be done cause left untouched could have caused larger issues. It’s been incredibly hard and it’s so stressful and discouraging to see people talking about how bad being in debt is. I agree- it sucks but unfortunately certain situations contribute a lot to being in debt and are not always in your control. ❤❤❤

  • @SmecaWash
    @SmecaWash Місяць тому +8

    I resonate with everything you said. I am on a debt free journey and because I’ve been looking at all videos and believing in throw all your extra funds to debt I’ve not saved for anything. Now I’m thinking of trying to reprogram my budget to save as much but still pay debt and realize my debt payoff timeframe need to be adjusted. This year long journey has me working 2 jobs, getting burned out from the work all day, sleep, repeat routine because I put myself in this position. So now as the enconomy is pushing against my progress with inflation I have to keep pushing and just what I can to stay on top. My household is high 6 figures 2 parent and you would think we would be on top with finances, but that’s not the case.

    When people come with that "well that person made choices to get them there."
    My reply is David dealt with many wars during his reign. His son, Solomon, had peace in the time he reigned. Does mean Solomon was a better king than David? No. God gave Solomon that peace.
    As you said people can make what seems like all the right decisions logically and still end up in good or bad circumstances. There is more to the equation than people want to admit.
    I'm grateful for my blessings. And when someone is doing better than me I'm happy them. I have learned what's for me is for me and what's for someone else is for someone else, even if on the surface I feel that person may be having it easier than me. 1) one I don't know the full story 2) who am I to judge God's will.

    I’m doing okay financially. I make a moderate income but save a lot due to being more frugal.
    I can feel the financial stress going on with most of my family though. They don’t all make the best choices in spending but yeah it’s just hard right now.
    Inflation has hit people bad. And a significant amount of that is price gouging (charging as much as the market will tolerate) as seen by all these companies reporting record profits. Middle class is always getting squeezed the worst.
    Personally I’m trying to focus on minimalism. It’s so easy to be wasteful in our society. With climate change effects being so prominent I hope more people take action to consume less resources and make more environmentally conscious decisions. But ultimately it’s the massive corporations doing the most harm so it’ll take a lot of people to sway their actions.
    It’s hard to not be gloomy about the future but I do feel hopeful that we’ll make it through this tough time.

    Dyannis, you are making yourself miserable, feeling you have to sacrifice so much to save, you are only 32, you are ahead of the game, you said you have six digits, after inflation goes down and house is worth it, you can refinance. Creating memories for your self and your kids are important. If saving like this is tiring you out and making you feel like you can't enjoy life . How is it good for your family and your mental health. A book that would be good for you to read, is Chicken soup for the soul. It gives you encouragement to do things differently and take chances, those people take chances and they feel emotional and physically happy. You may end up with a dual income, if you marry, you don't know what God has in store for you, but you missing out.. Enjoy your life in a responsible way, while you are young I don't have 6:figures, but I am going on a cruise, with my kid and I am older. I have seen people get sick and old , and never do anything, be cause they focus on saving, but miss out on the family memories and life experiences. Blessings.

I took a week off work to spend away from home with my two kids came back even more exhausted. I’ve also tried a weekend away from my kids to be alone, but woke up empty. Catch 22.
    Regarding the “living in a bubble” piece I think unless you habitually set timers for how long you allow yourself to consume content you will eventually run into some sad shit on your feed. That spray bottle sounds mechanical. I was looking outside my window, thinking “what’s that noise?” I chuckled every time you used it.

    working people get screwed, I work one jobs, it's not enough, I work two jobs, they take it all for taxes, the odds are stacked against working people, it's better to be on bottom or on top

    I agree, most of my news comes from sources I can seek out and I am trying to be better at limiting my information (entertainment or otherwise) during any given/day or week. Its just so much being inundated with what other people we don't know think or want us to think. I also heard this is a "savers market" where the HYSA and investments are doing good and for middle/working class that is how we should be approaching this time. Its made me think about (and be more strategic with) how I want to move forward with how I spend, save and make my money.

When I was growing up there was no internet! You young people have everything! My son is a year younger this you lady and I have never heard them complain about life! It’s the life GOD gave you! Try living in a 3 world country! SMH

    I really enjoyed this video. You’re spot on! I made the most money I ever have the last few years but I feel broke in a sense. Taxes kicked my butt and day to day feels different. I’m trying to stay optimistic as you are. I appreciate you being real @DyanaMariie. This too shall pass. I feel effort and consistency in the right things is rewarded eventually.
