In episode 11 of our deer management series with Chris Rogers on Shooting & Country TV, we're out on the Euston Estate in search of muntjac. It's the last chance to really bring the numbers down before gets too high and these diminutive deer are hidden from view.
We head out at first light, moving from the carrot fields where the muntjac are damaging the crop, to the woodland around where they make short work of saplings. It's not easy, with tram lines, high cover, and undergrowth aplenty to obscure their movements, but Chris has eyes in the back of his head and extensive knowledge of his ground... it doesn't take long to find and shoot the first deer of the day, and the success continues right the way through until breakfast!
Enjoy watching a master at work, and learn more about aging deer by their antler growth, coats, and body form.

the scrapping led projectiles, what's the idea behind that? expansion issues with copper. another greenie idea?

Mag and trigger all in one bit. Probably the safest gun to own. Hard to shoot a gun when you don't have the trigger.

yes, i noticed that. I think it's a blazer. still, i prefer simple function for reliability. a rifle still can't be used without bolt and ammo. oh, i'm not saying blazer is unreliable, they're built amazing.

it doesn't seem to be much of a compressor, have a look at what they use in NZ hunting, massive difference, just sayin. love the video by the way.
