Well filmed and well narrated, both Paul and his dad. The footage of calling-in the roe buck was great ; i've squeaked-up hares and rabbits but that was really interesting. Proper job!
Wow! What a great film-so lovely to see you with your dear dad, what a gentleman! Like father, like son. Very much looking forward to following your channel 🦌🦊
Lovely film Paul. Nice to see you out with your father and hearing about his experiences as a keeper and stalker. Looking forward to more from Childerley Sporting. 😊
Fantastic episode Paul, awesome to see your Dad involved in this one. You can hear he has a wealth of knowledge of the countryside. Great to be sharing a common hobby👍
What can i say, lovely watching you and yr dad reminiscing. Enjoy every moment you can. Great vid. Keen to see a detaled video of yr gralloch technique plz # always learning 😊
What a wonderful first installment! The sections with your father were quite touching to me because it reminded me of conversations with my father. I lost my father in 2003, but I will never forget those memories of life, hunting and sportsmanship. Thank you so much for sharing.
Great video. Excellent footage of how to correctly call in a buck and then stop him. Will help anyone wanting to learn this fine art. Well done great content. All the best for the channel.
What an absolutely brilliant film! You’ve really hit the ground running and I look forward to seeing more in the future. Excellent camera work and editing too.
Fantastic glad finding the time to get them done between the main work is quite hard work. But rewarding when people send nice comments and getting something out of it. Next one is fallow in the rut!
Lovely video, and fantastic camera work with amazing storytelling. Really interesting to hear some of your Dad's old stories, and I learnt quite a few things about Roe calling! The presentation and explanations following each shot, and the reasoning behind it was perfect. Exactly how Deer Stalking should be presented. Well done, a cracking job!
Fantastic video Paul!!👌🏼 I’ve watched you over the years from hunting big game to catching squirrels with your bare hands!😃 Great you have your own channel.👍🏼
Morning James, thank you for watching and putting up with the Gloucestershire Twang LOL really pleased you liked the first film and will try and keep them coming every last Friday of the month
Amazing video Paul. Your display of knowledge is incredible and how you are explaining and approaching the situation and animal shows a mastery of your craft. Your attitude shows a deep respect for the animals and a commitment to the sport. The actual video is so well composed, the editing is excellent and tells a wonderful story. Putting all of this together gives a wonderful narrative and a truly pleasurable watch. I look forward to seeing the next one!
Fantastic to see you shooting in a area of woodland that i managed! I thinned an high pruned the area you shot that 1st buck! The timber you stood in front of at the start i cut off peewit hill. I have seen some good fallow bucks up in that woodland
Good morning Paul from NZ, I have wathing on the Fieldsports channel. I enjoy watching them as I'm an English Ex Pat and an outdoors man. Of the thirty odd years in Warwickshire & Norfolk I was air rifle and shotgun only. I only got into stalking about 7 years ago, now wish I'd got into it years ago, but at 70, I'm still getting out there, although I'm finding it harder, but NZ stalking is nothing like the UK! Paul, would you do a video on field dressing a deer in the field please? I liked the look of the wee knife you used on those two bucks, info on that also please.
Lovely video Paul. Nice and relaxed, and to hear your father recapping on his experiences and life was a pleasure. You could be the new Whitehouse and Mortimer of youtube , haha. But seriously, the production of the video is spot on. This is what I personally want to see. May this be the first of many.
Thank you paul, we are planning one a month with a guest each time. It will be nice to interview and hunt with different hunters and hear some different hunting stories!
@@paulchilderley Hi Paul, thank you for taking the time to reply and for answering my question. If I had been still working, yes, I'd treat myself to one, but like you said, wow they are not cheap. Anyway, I've not long moved away from fixed blades and bought a Havalon Piranta-Stag Folding Knife: I found it a game changer, plus I also carry spare gut hook blades with it.
Great first film. Nice to feature your father for the first episode. My father worked for Eley all his life and got me into shooting. Paul@testvalleyvenison
Great shots Mr. Childerley 🫡 I have one question regarding the Sako S20 configurations since I saw you use both versions in hunting and I wanted to ask; in your opinion, is the precision version more difficult to use than the hunter stock version or do they preform just about the same?
Well done Paul and Martin, very nice video. Best wishes for the new channel 👍
Wonderful first video Mr Childerley can't wait to the next one! 👍🏼💪🏻
Father's company is worth the world 🙏🏼
Yes definitely thank you. 😊
Well filmed and well narrated, both Paul and his dad. The footage of calling-in the roe buck was great ; i've squeaked-up hares and rabbits but that was really interesting. Proper job!

Fantastic you would remember the old paper case Ely and the smell of a frosty morning after firing them.!
Great shots Mr. Childerley 🫡

Personally, I like the precision fore end with the Hunter stock that configuration is perfect
