    I live in Queensland Australia. Most of my hunting is Red Deer.My caliber of chose is a soft nose 180 gr. 270/08 cal. @ 3600fps, with the intention of the projectile entering behind the front shoulder into the "boiler-room" but not exiting allowing the projectile energy to provide an instant kill, with very little carcass damage.
    It seems to me by allowing your solids to exist you lose a lot of good meat or am I missing something.?
