Mr Rowntree, you speak with authority and experience. And you’re great at these actual wildlife programmes. Mr Packham could learn quite a lot from watching your videos. 👍👍👍
We have had Japanese sika on the eastern shore of Maryland since they were introduced in the early 1900’s. They adapted well to the pine forests and the marshes. Originally in one county they have expanded their range and they now inhabit eight counties. For those of us who hunted them back in the 1970’s we were ridiculed for hunting those “ little dog sized deer” instead of our native whitetails. Today we have hunters from neighboring states paying huge sums of money to guides just for a chance to bag a sika. We are fortunate here to have two great deer species to hunt.
Great Sika film. Should probably have a trigger warning for those of us who shoot in the Highlands in summer… this video may contain midges. I’m itching just watching it 🤣
OMG I live in Rosehall. We have Sika on the Croft and they were barking earlier this evening! There’s dozens of them around at the moment. Great video but can I please just point out the flow country is nowhere near Rosehall. It’s a good hours drive away. 👍
We in Ireland love sika. Do sika stalking in the Wicklow mountains and you’ll never bother going red stalking in the highlands again. The two don’t compare. Sika by far the best deer to stalk.
Scotland is beautiful as it is. The Scottish government is going to ruin it. But another excellent film with Niall, looking forward to the full series. If any other company was failing so blatantly to do what they were funded to do they would be kicked out. Yet the RSPB is handed yet another huge amount of tax payer money while the capercaillie continues to decline.
It is always a pleasure with Niall on the show.
I could sit and listen to Mr Rowntree all day he is so passionate about what he does. TOP MAN 🤙🦊
Love Neil’s superb knowledge on deer and the break down of which deer to take.

Although the question has to be asked that are the sika in Ireland actually true Japanese sika or simply a watered down version, I’d say the latter
DATargets cheers Charlie 👍👏
I live outside ardgay near rosehall I see sika deer almost every day
wll done all
Advert for shooting show - I won't go while there's a ban on hunting outfitters

Being the wolves back 😂 if there were anyone in the first place
Absolute conflict of interests trying to control deer populations with guests. Thanks for proving my point
That’s a real waste of money giving three million to the R. S .P. C. A 🤔😳 just employ four game keepers 🤔
