My favourite album of all time. This box set is the one that gives you the biggest bang for your buck. It weighs a ton! Out of the five it ranks as number one. I like the packaging. I was hemming and hawing about that plastic cover. Hmmm…it’s ok. Oddly enough this is one of my favourite album covers. Of course the poster and portraits…what can you say? I like that they used quality paper for the poster. The portraits are also printed on quality paper stock. The book is everything you could hope for and more! I can’t think of anything negative to say about the packaging. The remix is also quite nice. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere these remixes for me are an alternative way to listen to these albums I know so well. All the session material is captivating. The Escher demos is also a great inclusion. I’ll still keep my 09 mix but I really do love the remix. I love it.
I like the concept with the overlay. But as mentioned the plastic outer is prone to popping at the seams. Also I must admit: 1. I do like books that are more shaped like books in a rectangular form vs a square. Buuuut... I do prefer the editions built in the shape on an LP box vs the White and Let it Be. Don't get me wrong, love em anyway, but I would have rather had then more square. One thing I hate is the discs pockets embedded in the book. It's a bad idea. Probably cheaper to make, but bad.
@@BurgundySkies Yeah, I hear you on the format size. Too bad they didn’t commit to one size. Another example of bad Apple planning! If they were all the same size it would add to the overall classy quality of the series. I like the format they did with all those Jethro Tull sets. That is the proper way to do things.
@@BurgundySkies I don’t concern myself too much with the storage of the discs as I just rip the discs into my computer and never play the discs again. It is funny how discs are stored in box sets. Some are just a nightmare to get out.

You know, I would adhere to that, but then again I got this vintage 5 disc changer from Technics, so I kinda feel the need to use it now. 😁😁😁
