I just moved to Paris from New York -- where my entire family is and has been my entire life. The feelings you shared about cherishing the time with them when they're close to you are all the more relatable now that I'm across the world from my own parents and sister and missing out on those special moments. We’ve followed your parents on their journey to France since we are hopefully doing the same next year. It was also fun to see KJ pop up as we have followed their story as well. Great video!
This is so heartwarming! I would also recommend the restaurant “Le train bleu” in Gare de Lyon - wayyy more affordable but still high-end the restaurant is absolutely stunning (like a renaissance museum really) and the food is also insane!
How many other families like this are out there in the world? What you guys have and what you have built relationship-wise is truly incredible. Good on you for doing something like this for the people you love, this money is well spent. Lots of love to you all!

Your father speaks A LOT about food in his videos so I knew he would love it. My husband and I ate at a Michelin star restaurant in Italy for our 30th anniversary and had a similar experience…minus the view. But being there together is what made the video. Beautiful surprise for your parents! We ate at the Jules Verne in 2010. The food was amazing, but the service was incredible. I felt it was as well choreographed as a classic ballet.

I came from a family of five, being the youngest of three children. Last week my older brother passed away. He was preceded in death by my sister, mother and father. So this week has been spent in contemplation, as I pondered being the final survivor of the original nuclear family. Your video touched me with the reminder that the special moments spent with family is the single greatest treasure we can have as we age. Those deep interactions with the people we share a history and a perception of the world with, are priceless. I truly loved this video and being able to watch a special connection you obviously comprehend and cherish with your family. Thank you for sharing it!

Being a parent is hard, and we often wonder if we did a good job or not, but when your children do special things like this, it confirms it was all worth it and you did something good. You are all lucky to have each other!
Oh how wonderful! This was joyful - when you hear people speak passionately about food - this is why! A few years back, hubby and I had this same type of experience at Per Se in NYC - where the love, passion, and respect for food and service was shown by everyone there and I simply could not express my joy and gratefulness enough although I had a similar expression as your parents - eyes shut, gentle smile and a little nod. How wonderful for all of you!
