Nice vids man. My wife wants to start a UA-cam channel now that reviews boxing equipment now. It's all your fault!!! lol.
Hahaha looks like you have to buy her some Winnings and Flys now 😅
@@ThatBoxingGuy Very likely lol
I've always found the difference between 16oz and 18oz to be 2oz. I hope that helps
🙄
Lol
I usually watch these reviews to help me decide which gear to buy, but this time I’m learning maths too.
😂
Wooww you’re like wicked smaht huh?
I like my 18oz gloves --- my old school Ringside's are fav's. I haven't found a replacement yet.
How has the padding held up so far? I’m lokking into getting a pair of 18oz gloves. I have a Phenom 210 14oz, but might want to try something else for the bigger gloves.
I was thinking the same. Had 2 pairs of the 16s and the foam seemed to breakdown easily. Good compact glove but maybe not so good for sparring partners. I'll try the 18s now.
I'm still testing out the 18s to see how durable they are, hopefully they don't break down as easily as your 16s. But then again you seem to hit pretty damn hard yourself, haha. I've seen your fights, love your style. When's the next one?
I feel they're perfect for like a camp, but need to replace them after that. At least mines feel that way, like they are the right type of soft for sparring but if needing something long ter, the X line won't cut it. The Premium line is night and day better and more durable but are... a little bit expensive to say the least and take forever to arrive if you order them directly. I ordered a 10oz training pair and it's been 4 weeks, still not got them
@@lewisbeattie2533 do you hit the heavy bag with these as well? If so, then it’s not weird if you wear them down more easily.
also would you say the 18oz gloves are more compact than maybe top boxer? and if i can train and spar in them
Sorry brother, Haven’t tried top boxer, yet
Whenever you get a chance can you do a review on the everlasting elite training gloves 2020 version and the phenom gloves… and where are you located I want some training
I find it hard to find those elite gloves now in Canada, but I am looking into those Phenoms though
I’m in Canada, near Toronto
I think I've seen more than a couple of times people mentioned bout Phenom. I would also be interested. Not sure you should spend time on NEverlast gloves. If you reviewed them to be good, people buy it and they fall apart, you get credibility issues. If they are neutral or subpar, then it's a waste of time and money. But hey, you do you.
does the metallic leatgher go away? i might cop a pair but not sure
Because it's synthetic, it won't go away. But with these gloves they're not very shiny to begin with
When you’re hitting your sparring partners hard, you can’t really blame the gloves. Too big gloves can become very pillowy. Both in size and effect, and can fool people into throwing harder punches. I’m not talking about you, though. But in general, people need to know how and when to go light and hard. Most sparring sessions should be at least light to the head, if they want their brains to last a little longer.
How different is the width of the hand compartment 16 vs 18, i wanna get 18oz too
A little more than half an inch wider
@@ThatBoxingGuyis it any deeper?
They're the same, just that the 18s are wider
I’m 226 @ 5’10. Is the 18 oz ideal?
Yea bro I’m 5’11 220 I use 18 oz waybbetter
Yeah, 18oz will be more protective for you and your sparring partners, plus they’re compact for 18s
how long was the shipping time on bobs fight shop ?
I live in Canada so it only took 2 days. Last year I ordered my Winnings on November 15th, got it on the 17th
But typically it’s 3-5 business days
I spar in 12oz but yet again I’m 60kg😭
Fly are my favourite gloves but I do want to get some phenom or rival sparring gloves
Flys are really nice. But yeah I’m looking into trying out the phenoms eventually
You should be sparring in 16s minimum
@@tekkn_579 regardless of weight💯 you are right.
@@tekkn_579 14 minimum
That money could of been spent on some old school Mexican Casanova gloves 😁
They’re way better than fly 😅
