Couple quick notes, it is the EC3 Ohlins. The rider modes and suspension settings can be selected independently from one another. My 2023 model does not have the preload guide and when setting the suspension modes only TRACK offers the ACCEL and CORNER support, that being said you can make all 3 TRACK with different settings if you like. I'm really looking forward to trying the 2024 or 2025 Fireblade. I currently have the 2023 version and I've done the full exhaust, tuning, geared down from 16/43 to 15/44 and put some lower pegs on it. Rider triangle is still really aggressive but my God it's an incredible machine, even compared to my Ducati Streetfighter V4SP2....the Fireblade feels like it just wants to murder you all the time, it has zero chill. As always great video Chop....Let's get that weight down a little brother, I wanna see you riding in another 20 years still!!
@@PleadTheFifth_Racing nice! Would you say the build quality And fit And finish is better on the Ducati as well? I own a hypermotard 698, it's an amazing little machine. Love all the details and how nice it's made as well
A phenomenal machine and truly one of the best sports bike chassis on any production bike of all time. This model has the benefit where you can ride it slower with a supple mid range which makes it rather road friendly if you are not too big in stature and can become comfortable with the ergonomics. But if you want to go truly fast and have the confidence to redline any gear then hold onto your socks! Not many motorcycles can accelerate as quickly as this bike! Truly amazing.
The 954 it’s a nice sport bike for the road, enough power, some degree of confort and a lovely analog feeling without any electronics I’m definitely keeping mine
Chopsy… get hold of a 954. I had one and wish I’d never sold it. Best bike I’ve owned. Happy in town, B Roads, motorway, quick blat and also touring. Superb machine.
Great review Chopsy awesome bike. As a Blade rider of many years I think they really have this bad boy sorted! And good to see Tommy Bridewell and the Honda Uk team pushing it back towards the front of the BSB grid where it belongs 👍🏻👌🏻
This is why I I got out of sports bikes you have to travel at stupid speeds to get any buzz from them , saying that I'm on a aprilla tuono factory now and you still want to go fast but ideally below the ton if you know what I mean chaps ! Lovely looking blade though ❤
I love how it still sounds like an alien spaceship under high acceleration. When I'm in a group ride with that friend who owns a 08' Fireblade, he accelerates and it sounds like a spaceship taking off. Even a 600RR can't get close to that sound. Love it
Man the bikes between 2012-2024 have had such high pegs. I remember the bikes in the early 2000s, they were actually comfortable and rideable for a certain amount of time, I’m young and in shape and these new bikes have ridiculous high pegs. I hope we can find a happy medium lol.
Great review Chops, looking forward to you reviewing the 2024 S1000rr. I have had the 2017 CBR10000rr and that was a great bike but like you have pointed out the was a huge amount of weight on the wrists, being 52 and the better riding position the S1000rr made more sense and with 210bhp now it’s got all the power I will ever need for the road. Keep up the good work Chops and hopefully will bump into you soon👍🏻

If you and Greg do a Q & A toward the end of the year. Maybe a question could be what is the ideal sports bike for the road. I've not found it yet. 2019 V4 pani, 2016 959, 2010 R6, 99 R6, 06 R1, 97 fireblade. The rc990 looks interesting.
How do you compare it to the 2020zx10r? I love my zx10r 2020 but really like the honda but don't know if I can ever give up my 2020zx10r because it's just so good my zx10r will just touch your soul when you ride it ❤️ love it
I always found the 600RRs the pick of the bunch as far as size, power and handling were concerned. Just didn’t have the bottle or see the point of owning the larger Fireblades - too insane. Pre paid funeral come free with each bike first 12 months.
Quick box it up, I send you the address...I'm sure Honda wont miss one. No but seriously, this bike reminds me of the CB 1100 R of the 1980's when Honda made a limited run of superbikes so they could compete in the production racing. What a gorgeous looking machine, would buy one tomorrow if I could. Look forwards to the shootout with the R1.
In the world of litre sport bikes, I find it hard to see past the Italians. However, this would also need to be put on the test drive list. Lovely stance. *And maybe M1000rr.
Honda might not be winning on WSBK or MotoGP, but Fireblade/600RR are still amazing on the streets/track. And as they prove on last Suzuka endurance, they still fast and most importantly, reliable AF, as Honda should be :D
Another excellent review Chopsy! It looks like a great bike, but as I feared (moved away from 1000cc sports bikes) and you suggest, just too much for our roads…
Obviously a beautiful bike , and great video - but I do wonder how many people actually buy these things ? Maybe I'm biased against as I live in London and insurance etc prohibits these kind of machines , but the lack of practicality plus the cost does make me wonder who they are actually for? When you're young enough to be comfortable on one you can't afford it, and if you're lucky enough to be able to buy one when you're a bit older they're super uncomfortable, and unless you're on the track you'll never really get to third gear. Plus if I spent over twenty grand on a bike I'd be too worried about binning it on the track as well, bit like the top of the line GS off road syndrome . Still - great channel thanks ;)
It’s so true, isn’t it? I often wonder these sorts of things as well. When you are really young you are poor, unless your parents are flushed and giving you a toy like this (not advisable, lol)…Even when you are slightly older as an adult, if you are average financially (or even above average financially) then you have mortgages and kids and dogs and all kinds of other wallet drainers that will always be standing in the way. By the time you have both the time and money you’re 40 to 50 or more, and yeah, the body wants it but has some challenges…lol I’m 50 and considering one of these. The brain wants it but I knows it’s not rational. And yes, what I really want to do is ride track…something I always wanted to do…Being able to buy one of these things is one thing…Being flushed enough to destroy one on a track without insurance is a whole other level of consideration, and one that separates the men from the boys for sure… Life is cruel sometimes, isn’t it? ;-0
A little remark if i may to set the record straight. My first blade was a black 93 launch version, yes, the tankslapper and i owned many generations after that. The Cbr1000rr has always been a comfortable racer compared to the competition. That's nothing new.
Not related to this video, but I'm still looking forward to the KTM 990 Duke vs Yamaha MT-09 SP video you hinted a while back, as I'm looking to get one of those bikes.

By the time you have both the time and money you’re 40 to 50 or more, and yeah, the body wants it but has some challenges…lol
I’m 50 and considering one of these. The brain wants it but I knows it’s not rational. And yes, what I really want to do is ride track…something I always wanted to do…Being able to buy one of these things is one thing…Being flushed enough to destroy one on a track without insurance is a whole other level of consideration, and one that separates the men from the boys for sure…
Life is cruel sometimes, isn’t it? ;-0
Couldn't see a fuel gauge on the dash, has it got one ?
Need a vs video with the zx10r like you did for the 600s pls
I restored my 954 last year if you want to ride and it and produce a video on it chopsy
fantastice bike 👑👑👑👑
A little remark if i may to set the record straight. My first blade was a black 93 launch version, yes, the tankslapper and i owned many generations after that. The Cbr1000rr has always been a comfortable racer compared to the competition. That's nothing new.
I'm amazed even a sandwich holder in the front air intake. What will Honda think of next?
This or the bmw m1000rr are my two most desired Supersports.
Me too. I have a M1000R and if I traded it, itd be for the M1000RR or the Fireblade.
@@northernlefty5412the 3 bikes I’m trying to decide between. M1R may be the first
You can nearly see the grin through the helmet 😂
Great video, riding the 22 rr-r sp. Is it that improved to consider trading in for the 24 blade and could you feel the new throttle upgrade cheers
As a tuono owner I just wish honda would make a naked version of this blade
I still haven't found a madder version than the 954😂
Will leave that one for Tommy Bridewell, too much for me ! 😅
What's the price of this bike??
It's the same question as "do you NEED an incredibly beautiful wife". No, you don't but it ain't half better than having an ugly one!!
Not related to this video, but I'm still looking forward to the KTM 990 Duke vs Yamaha MT-09 SP video you hinted a while back, as I'm looking to get one of those bikes.
Yes just need to edit it 👍
When will it be on a yours full testing 2024 yamaha yzf-r1 and 2024 suzuki gsxr-1000r,,,i think that for 1000 cc class from japanese only 2024 yamaha yzf-r1 and 2024 suzuki gsxr-1000r miss a lot...
Is there a speed above which cameras can’t measure your speed?
How can you resist the temptation to take it to the track as soon as possible ?
I have absolutely no use for a machine like this so I’ll take two
