    I've been watching the sport on youtube for the last couple of years. You produce the best videos by far. Everything points to Black Hawk being the best choice. I'll be calling you soon. Cheers.

      Just don't lose the dream! It's totally possible!!! It took me almost 4 years to save up for my first motor - and now I've been working for (2 different manufacturers for years! The first one was HORRIBLE, but it allowed me to appreciate how amazing this company is where I work now. We have such great people at BlackHawk. Honest people. Just pick up the phone and call a couple of other manufacturers before you call us. You will instantly see the difference. We will be here when you are ready. If you can, try to make it to one of our annual Fly-Ins. We have Pilots from all over the world who get together for a week and just fly. It's a great chance to see all the gear out there and maybe even go for a ride!

      @@blackhawkparamotor🇺🇸 I 🙏 that one day, I'll be able to just feel alive again and learn how and purchase some gear. Semper Fi. I have also been watching multiple different PPG channels, and in my opinion, your company, Black Hawk, has the better all a round safety record, training & equipment. Wish there was a way to ask the VA to help out getting the gear. I would put my money on the fact that alot of veterans wouldn't need their pharmaceutical help for depression anymore. Awesome video(s) also! 🇺🇸

    I kinda ordered one today I've never been this excited to pay for something (haven't yet). Ordered thru the guy I'm getting training with because he said it would be cheaper. Waiting for him to email me an invoice cause once I pay for it I'm committed (I'm committed already but I feel it will be official once payed for). I just hope he comes in with a good price because training is starting to get really high in canada and he still has a good rate.

    Called your NC office about this today, I am very interested. A private pilot at 18, who never got to fly like I really wanted and had to stop in my mid 20s, and now 50 and really want back in the air and this might be the answer. We shall see.

    • @blackhawkparamotor

      YES! Please don't ever lose your dream of flying. The best part about this "no-license" sport, is that they can't deny you a license due to medical issues, age, etc - AND you don't have to pay thousands each year for licensing, insurance, inspections, hanger fees... Our guys in NC are amazing and will take exceptional care of you. If you have any trouble contacting them, please let us know =)

      It like comparing a panel van to a motorcycle for sure! It's so open - like you are floating through the sky. When you have some time, reach out to our office so we can get you in contact with someone local... That way you can see one in person, and maybe go for a ride!

    This looks like alot of fun. My father flew powered parachutes for close to 20 years. How much different is this than flying PPC?

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  8 років тому

      +Jabin McCorkendale Hi Jabin! Thanks for connecting with us! Powered Paragliding doesn't require any license whatsoever, which makes it a LOT more affordable to start compared to PPC. Powered Paragliders get much better fuel efficiency, they are lighter and easier to transport, they are much safer to operate, easier to learn, parts are cheaper, you can get a backpack unit instead of being limited to wheeled-flight, there are more places out there offering lessons, and more. These are just off the top of my head. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions about the sport. Feel free to give us a call: 209-786-7899.

    how much for school and all the gear for a 190ish lb guy 44years old foot launch with all intentions of doing acro and cross country. never done this but want to do a sat , Helo , and would love to learn the infinity? I'm a thrill seeker done all kinds of stuff. flying is one I would love to try.

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому +2

      More great questions! Our Headquarters Training Center in California charges $2000 for foot launch, and $1600 for Quad lessons BUT IF YOU BUY A PACKAGE prior to Training, or within a few months of completing the course, you get $400 off the lessons - making it $1600 for Foot-Launch, and $1200 for Quad.
      For motors, I'd suggest checking out the BlackHawk 125, Talon 190, and AirMax 220. They are all great motors. For more agile flying, the 125 or Talon are probably best. If you think you might ever switch to wheels, you might want to consider the Talon or AirMax. It all just depends on how you plan on using the motor.
      ACRO: - This sport is as safe as you make it... If you plan on doing any Acro, you will want to do an "SIV Clinic" after you have taken regular lessons and have been flying for quite some time. Be very careful of Instructors who emphasize Acro because it isn't what the sport was designed for, it's hard on your equipment, and HAS TO BE DONE over water or in a supervised situation - with the right safety gear like Reserve Chutes, Flotation, helmet, etc. Any Instructor putting beginner students through any type of acro are just asking for an accident. That would be like teaching a 16 year old kid to drive a race car as their first car. Start with a good beginner course and take your time. I know you are probably as anxious as I was to get started. There is no rush and your life isn't worth risking by wanting to do it now. I ended up paying for lessons AND A PARAMOTOR twice because of going with the wrong Manufacturer / School... I worked for this other manufacturer for two years before coming to BlackHawk. This company did their lessons in Mexico to escape liability and local regulations... This "Super" Instructor would put beginner students through SATs and other maneuvers in their first couple of weeks. Almost lost a couple of students because of this on several occasions. Had one die on the beach in San Diego, one that went into the water in Mexico with signs everywhere that say "dangerous riptides," and a lot of equipment destroyed... Something you don't hear about on websites lol. Just research the heck out of everything and please be safe =) I'd be happy to call you in person and talk more about my experiences if you want to ask the main office for my number. Take care!
      Hope all this helps!

    Fantastic video! I SO want to do this! Been wanting to for years. Unfortunately the equipment hasn't been something that I can afford :-(
    Is it possible to carry a small amount of cargo under the paramotor seat? (such as lightweight camping gear or a small folding bicycle?)

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  8 років тому

      +The Adventure Biker Absolutely! In fact, our Revolver 320 can carry a 600+ lb payload. We have had many pilots buy a Tandem seat and use it for storage. We've seen people take camping gear, hunting and fishing gear, lots of camera equipment, supplies, you name it! The foot-launch units don't have the ability to carry cargo like the Quads, but they still have some zipper compartments under the seat. Give us a call when you have a moment. We would be happy to answer any questions you have and recommend gear to suit your needs.

    3:00 'no pilots license required'.. Living in Germany is a pain.. We indeed need a license, same as approvals from numerous parties..

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  7 років тому

      Man... That sucks. We are very lucky to not have a license required here... Saves a LOT of money. They are still more affordable than having an airplane! Let us know if you have any questions about the sport. =)

    If the motor died at 300 feet, do you fall out of the sky or can you glide to safety?

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  6 років тому

      Great question - and a common one people ask... We actually shut the motors off on purpose all the time! One of my favorite things to do is climb up a couple thousand feet, shut the motor off, and just float around... When I get back down to 100 feet or so, I'll start the motor up again (with a simple pull or electric start) and do it all over again! Saves gas and it's a lot of fun. That being said, you can easily and gently glide down to the ground if the motor stops unexpected... A LOT safer than an airplane or helicopter!!

    I'm a PG Pilot and I'm wondering if it's possible to do thermal flights too?

    • @blackhawkparamotor
      @blackhawkparamotor  8 років тому +1

      +Tom H Absolutely! One of my favorite things to do is climb up to a few thousand feet, shut the motor off, and just cruise around in silence. We have a Paraglider called the Elektra, made specifically for this sport, but also designed as a world-class free flight glider. We have many Pilots who do exactly what you are asking about. If you have any questions along the way, we're happy to help. I looked into the same thing when I first discovered the sport. I wanted to build my own Quad. All of the specialty items that go into building a Paramotor (cages, frames, gas tanks, wiring, propellers, gliders, etc) are purchased in bulk by Manufacturers, so you might find that it can cost more to build one from scratch than getting a commercially built unit. Similar to building your own airplane. There is a LOT of technology that goes into making a Paramotor safe. Tiny things that we've learned over the past 20 years. People have absolutely built their own Paramotors - many successfully. I have yet to meet someone who was able to build a custom one for less than what a commercial unit costs. As long as you are safe and happy, go do your thing! Take care and happy holidays =)
