David Wilder I don’t agree. The track they used isn’t good enough for the car. Clarkson doesn’t have the racing knowledge to fully review this car properly. In my opinion Chris Harris’ review of this car on top gear was much better and he had the Yas Marina Formula One circuit to put the car to the limit.
I agree with David Wilder. Besides, it's is a crime against a small portion of humanity ( me), that Jeremy Clarkson has not reviewed the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
@@drlim2u Chris is a hollow car reviewer where as Jeremy is refined and has history and is honest and won’t suck up to a car brand if they pay him goodies
@@framekixrr in terms of racing cars, Chris delivers much more detailed information because he does have his own gt3 car, but in terms of humor, entertainment value and reviews normal people can relate to, Clarkson is unparalleled.
He adds more life to the review other people would be like , this car is so good wow this car turns so good it's so grippy

Rewire Its as ugly as any car after 1980. Modern cars have no style or personality, Ford gt40 and daytona/superbird look way better. Where is the fins? the chrome? the long design? Its nowhere. Modern cars are a joke, seriously. They don't make them as they used to, america used to fun and games and drag racing and huge fins , after style disappeared its bullshit.

The Aston Martin Vulcan has all the traits of the Avro Vulcan. Its Very loud, fast as anything, minimalistic, and forces the driver to acclimatize to it, and not the other way round. What an awesome coincidence.
As violent as the gun it shares a name with, as British as the plane it shares a name with, and as smart as the aliens it shares a name with.

It's only fairly recently I understood the driving position Clarkson is in.
I grew up watching people leant back as far as possible so you drive with your arms straight.
I thought I'd try it out in my current MK2 MR2 since there's a surprising amount space for my long legs... I instantly felt much more in control and connected to the car.
I found this in my car, it's completely designed with the idea in mind that you lean way back, but I've found it far more comfortable to drive in a more upright position

I like top gear or the grand tour, because the presenter actually used the paddle shift. Sometimes Indonesian youtuber that having a content of reviewing car etc, they does not used the paddle shift
Gorgeous car. I love how they hid the headlights down below the front edge of the hood. LEDs small size allows this allow this I guess? Reminds me a lot of mid 90's popup headlight cars like C5 Corvette, FD RX-7, but without the unfavorable drag or added weight.
The only thing wrong with the Grand Tour is that the season is too short. We want more, More, MORE!!! Same quality, but just a hell of a lot more of it. Together, these guys are phenomenal!!!

About that braking noise. Race car brakes usually have a working temperature of ~400C depending on the compound. Before reaching that temperature, it will make that noise. You can hear similar noise from P1 GTR and 911 GT2 RS also.
This is one of the best sounding car ever, right there next to LFA.

Samlawts 1 the sound of a Maserati is on another level, I have heard both irl. The handling cannot be comparable as one is a 2 tonne gt and the other is a sports car. Looks are won by the Maserati any day, though the db9 looks good, it's just not as timeless as the granturismo.

Samlawts 1 that was more Like a jet without wings. i think speedometer means a Car with a petrol or electric engine. a Guy strapped to a turbine isnt really a car in my eyes. impressive nonetheless
Kevin Dorka thing is, if you make a car with enough power to break the sound barrier, and have such little air resistance. You end up with a jet fighter anyway.
I believe a normal car would have so much vibration that it starts falling apart and there might not be enough air that the engine can suck in. Also there’s gonna be too much drag if the car was still going to have a road worthy design

Also, that's a terrible track to test that car. You need a F1 circuit to push it.
I think they're squeaking because they're cold. Like you said, you need a circuit. And the ability to push it hard enough to keep heat in them. Not sure Clarkson had either
Its a full race car. The pad compound will cause this. I also fear they will get wobbly in the steering wheel when road used; the floating rotors will get stuck and the pads will smear by lack of heat. Check our YT channel for more tech info on road & race calipers and rotors

Fire Blade Agreed. As for the so called race car driver. Looks like he takes most of the cars to the Mc Donalds drive thru before he goes to the track. Would also be good to see the cars on a propper track instead of the crap they are using now.
"Old" Top Gear wasn't even very good, at least near the end. The series peaked around 2008-2009 and then started to become heavily scripted and overproduced. By the time it went off the air in 2015 large portions of every episode were almost unwatchably cringy. It was good that the gang moved on.
Give it a shot.. they working with some new crews, creative team and so on..
