Hey man I know you have a really small channel but it really is awesome, I genuinely get more excited for your videos than I do videos from channels with millions of subscribers, keep doing what you’re doing
Nice dude! Good to see someone enjoying their truck instead of just throwing money at it and never using it. Love seeing the worthwhile budget upgrades. Working on my 04 Silverado overland build now. Enjoy the travels
Y’all videos make me smile , beautiful couple thank you for the inspiration bro looking at the same truck also have a r50 pathy I’m building out for overlanding and using as daily’s . Much love from N.O .
@@routinemarkout2099 I'm hoping next year I get my rig, but now I can't make my mind up on what type of type vehicle I want to use, because it's going to be my daily driver also. Pickups weren't a choice until I saw yours with the cover which later made me think about the suburban until I saw your rack setup. Either way you've inspired me even more seeing that your the only black couple I came across
Ah gotcha. Yeah that’s a tough decision and there’s pros and cons for both. We were blessed to already have the truck so it worked out great for us. I hope y’all enjoy whichever one you choose.
Saw this and immediately subscribed. I have an 02 avalanche that is the same beautiful color that I'm trying to outfit for overlanding. Thanks to you I have a better idea of where to start,
This is one of the coolest Silverado builds I’ve ever seen! Wish more people went for this type of look rather than the mall crawler look lol. Thanks for giving me some ideas, you have a new follower!
Love your tent set up and I’m trying to build mine for the 2017 1500 series; will keep looking at your videos for more great ideas. Keep up the great work!💙👊🏼😎
Woah that’s awesome man I lived in Madison county for about 10 years now I’m up in Booneville. I’ve got a truck just like that except in the gold color. Safe travels and awesome build👌🏼.
Awesome video man! Love how laid back you are and how good of quality your setup is. It shows through that you value quality in your videos. Keep putting out content and I'm sure you'll grow fast this year!
I appreciate that but I can’t receive any of the glory! That would be nice if the channel grows. I just hope people actually get something out of the content we create. Thanks again!
Looks good. My only suggestion is to get an extendable paint pole, with 4 inch. Roller, that uses smallest dia. roller cover. Use to pull totes to rear of truck bed.
I was looking at the 18 inch universal rack on Victory 4X4 and the only one they had was for the mid size truck. Is this the one you used? I have been looking for a low profile rack for my 07 Silverado. I also have the same cover as you. Thanks for your help.
Looks good! I'd like to start building my Silverado like this. If you haven't already, I would definitely recommend adding a larger transmission cooler and a temp gauge to monitor the trans temp.
Thanks! That’s something I haven’t thought about yet. Thanks for your suggestions. I’ve noticed the motor burns oil and the trans burns fluid so that’s something I’ll have to consider. I also thought about swapping for the 6.0 and 4l80e.
@@routinemarkout2099 That would be awesome! Yeah the 4L60E will burn up quick if it gets hot. The TruCool 40K cooler is the most popular cooler to run. I have that and an AutoMeter trans temp gauge. If you keep the 4l60E, a shift kit and a Corvette servo will be big improvements for it.
@@routinemarkout2099 I got a used 5.3 with less miles I was at 230k and also did a 4l80e swap with a Jake's performance stage 2 kit feels way more stout than the 4l60e did in my 2003
That’s a great suggestion. I’ll probably end up doing that. I’m sure it’ll be cheaper in the long run rather than going with the 6.0 and 4l80e. Thanks!
Truck is looking good.....my only concern is the stuff in the back doesn’t look strapped down. I’d worry about the jack stand moving around back there.
I just sub'd to you. I had seen your coil conversion videos and am interested in doing the same. So between you and LSXMatt, I think I will pull the trigger later this fall. I have an 03' Z71 Tahoe that is leveled and returned to the factory rake for towing. The torsion bar on the passenger side is a bit wonky and really needs to be replaced. I am running 285/75r16 Cooper S/T Maxx's on 16x8 Cragar Soft 8's. I need to get the gear sets changed from the factory 3.73's to 4.11's due to the increased tire diameter first before the coil swap.
I have a couple of questions myvtrucknis a older truck but I like to know what the height in that rack and does your truck have a lift kit or is it stock height and if it does would that be like 4 inch lift and what size tires u running
Thank you! As a 6’3” 260 lbs guy, it’s definitely short on room but not short that it’s uncomfortable. I can lay down with room at the head and feet. It also helps that my girlfriend is smaller than the average woman. We can both lay completely flat without touching each other.
Because you have the new tire carrier I dont think it hangs to far off. Like the upgrades!!! How's that fridge working out do you run it off battery pack?
Thanks! That’s what I figured too since the tire carrier adds length. So far the fridge is doing good! I plug it into the 12v outlet in the truck while the truck is running and when we setup camp I use a solar generator to keep it running.
I know In your first video about the truck you said you were on a leveling kit. now that you went from 285/70/17 to 305/70/17, did you change any suspension?
My truck is a 1500. I don’t have a lot of gear to haul so it’s perfect for me. Though, I know the 2500 has more heavy duty parts. I wish I could help more.
I know it's been a year but let me be straight with you: a 2500 is more expensive up front and less comfortable but will likely hold up to abuse a lot longer. You will have a harder time finding junkyard and hole-in-the-wall parts stores that carry what you need that day with a 2500. However if you're gonna tow, get a 2500 for the 4l80e transmission and still put a BIG transmission cooler on it. I choose to drive 1500's because I like bed space and don't tow anything more than a few thousand pounds (tear drop trailers and small vehicles) Doing ball joints and general suspension work like lift kits is easier and cheaper on 1500's as well. YMMV best of luck. God Bless.
@@Irishcream216 Thanks. Believe it or not, I'm STILL shopping one year later. I will probably go with a 1500. The comfort thing is a big deal to me. And mpg.
