Quite well, I haven't had one issue with it. I've ran many spools thru it. Other then the feeding issues I had but since I changed the drive roll zero complaints.
Awesome I’m struggling to figure out if I want a multi purpose or just get the 180 mig I like the idea of being able to do all 3 for under a grand. I will never be welding more than 1/4 inch regardless. How much was adding on the tig torch.
One question I just bought my gas for the mig my question is I know you change the wheel to .25 which I have the wire for but I also have wire that is .30 .What do I do in that situation
@@josereza9744 start at 15cfh and work from there. If your outside you may have trouble if its windy that's when you'd want to utilize flux core. It think the regulator that comes with says scfh same as cfh.

@@demidog4549 I bought the Vulcan torch from harbor freight because it was on sale. I am new towelding. Where the mig gun connects I know the Lincoln tig toruch is supposed to connect there. Instead the valcun torch comes with a gas through adaptor sense that connects to the ground portion of the machine and it has a gas hose leading from the toruch I do not have any argon available to test wonder if this setup would work
@@gregorynorth80 im sure it will work any stick welding machine can be converted into a tig welder. You'd most likely have to do some alterations but I have no doubt it will work.
Are you asking if I've used the spool gun? I'm just asking because tig welding isn't done with a spool gun it's technically mig welding. I did purchase the spool gun and will be doing a video shortly.

Do you know if theres a difference between this machine and the lincoln 140 mp?? I dont know wich one to go for, IOC has a pretty cool package that includes tig torch and pedal, but they dont have it in the le31
Le31 I believe its basically the new updated version on the 140mp. 140s input power is 115 the le31 is 120. The le31 is slightly less wieght 34.5 vs 35. The Le31 is available at home depot and other hardware stores the 140mp is not. The le31 I feel runs smoother. Hope that helps both machines are very capable. Dont forget to subscribe!!
It may be possible, I wouldn't feel comfortable telling you its compatible with any torch. Most likely you can use most any torch but depends on amperage ratings for torch etc. Lots of variables. I would try and stick with whats specified and known to work with this machine so be it more expensive possibly. In the long run buying or trying to use a torch that's not compatible showingin up to a job and not having it work can cost you. @@elkilo3008 its decent, it's not high frequency start and the torch isn't intended for long runs. It'll heat up and will need to cool periodically. If your looking for a pure tig machine and wanting to do aluminum AC welding this isn't for you. Maybe try and alpha tig or everlast machine adding wațer cooling to get you in the game. The unit in the video is designed to do all processes well especially mig.
You need to be able to weld on AC (alternating current). This machine is only DC (direct current). If you try your tungsten will just ball up in your cup on DCEN. You can weld it on DCEP but you will not get good penetration or cleaning. Itll prob destroy your tungsten aswell unless it a very large diameter. There's alot of factors AC currents + cycle provides cleaning action on aluminum and its - provides penatration. You can also balance your frequency to give more cleaning vs penetration vice versa. DC current is direct to whatever it is your providing power to. AC flows thru positive back thru negative creating a circle passing back to the source. You can weld aluminum with this machine you just need to use a spool gun on mig. Make sure you clean you parts really well scuff them and clean with acetone before welding.

@@derrinclark3200 if you have your torch setup, all you need to do is touch your Tungsten to the piece your trying to weld and it will strike an arc aswell as supply gas on its own.
Technically no this machines max output for stick is 90amp. I havent tried running it but it could prob work on max amp welding 1/8" plate. Your prob better off doing FCAW on higher amps. Let me know if you'd like me to do a video on it. Hope that helps and dont forget to subscribe.

Recently bought this machine and it seems to have a leak, I have to shut off the bottle after every day. My old pro-mig 140 was super sealed when it came to the gases and always left it open, any one else having these issues?
I couldn't say but it'd be a good practice to check with soapy water all fittings. Just spray the areas and you will see bubbles form if you do have one. I always shut my tank off after use.
I tried scratch starting with out the pedal. Nothing would happen. Also there 3rd light down from the green light was lit. Not sure what that means. I've owned this welder for over 4 years. Never tried tig but I finally got a bottle of argon and already have the tig torch. (I did just buy the foot pedal just because I thought its required and I'm sure its nicer to have)
@@RonJaySmith sounds like your forgetting your ground or not setting it to tig mode. I've ran mine with no pedal and had no issue getting an arc started.
I made sure I had a good ground and right settimgs. Also I noticed yours automatically recognized it was tig setup. Mines won't do that. For mig tig and stick I still have to press the button over. I was trying to start it on stainless steel square tube. 4" long 2x2x⅛. My setting were J/1 DC+ Is the scratch just a small drag scratch or really rough scratch?
@@RonJaySmith mine will auto detect if I have the pedal plugged in. You need to be on DC- or it won't work. Its more of a press tungsten on material hold, move forward and lift slightly to welding hieght about a 1/4". Setting will depend on thickness of material aswell not just type.
@@RonJaySmith remember this is an DC only machine so no aluminum on tig. Your settings should start at H-I for 10 gauage stainless with a 3/32 tungsten.
You very well could generally on much thicker plate then anything id be doing. It also has to be very very clean and you most certainly would have some issue with flow rate with the pedal. You'll get deeper penetrations with dcen and helium so its limited on what you'd use it for. You need to have a lot higher flow rate if im remembering right.

Yes but you'll have to purchase the spool gun separately.

I'm not sure what your referring to. I'm assuming the negative symbol like this -
DC- means electrode negative meaning whatever it may be torch, gun, stick electrode that's going to be connected to the negative terminal

This machine is 120v only. Its designed for mobile repair, easy shop hookup use.

6011 will work for overhead no matter the rod size.

Well, bought the machine it didn't come with an electrode holder.. wow
Take it back then because it definitely comes with a stinger, ground clamp, and mig attachment.
I would probably say that if you could re do this video do it because the focus on the camera was very poorly

If I run mine longer than 1.5 minutes, my 20 amp breaker pops. I'd recommend a 30 amp breaker and 10 gauge wire for this unit.
Are you on a designated circuit? I've never had that issue unless I'm plugged into afci. You must have your machine maxed aswell.
I run mine on a 12 guage cord wired into a 20 amp breaker all the time with zero issues.
