Found one on marketplace for $400. Box was sealed with original Lincoln electric tape. Everything still wrapped up as if i bought new. Excited to get it running.
Just picked up one from Harbor Freight. The instructions on the sticker under the panel say the opposite of what you said. For NR-211-MP self shielded (no gas) the ground clamp is + and the mig gun is -
For what it is, this is a very good machine. I use mine exclusively running self-shielded flux core wire. I have other machines for other processes. But this welder is great on a residential jobsite where I can't get my bigger rigs, but where I can fit a Harbor Freight 4500watt generator. Pro-tip: this welder will pull more than 20amps if you let it. I swapped the plug over to a 30amp twist lock and can run the thing wide open on a 30a circuit.
Almost got one, but for $300 more I picked up the Hobart multihandler 200. More amps, 110/240V, comes with tig torch (still no pedal, which is annoying).
Just got one on clearance for $500 at home depot. Before i was just using a lincoln flux core only welder looking forward to trying mig and dual shielded welding
I have this welder new on the box and I am about to use it. I was wondering if you can use it with a link2home heavy duty 50ft, 4 plugs, Costco extension cord?
@MechMaster if you had to pick one or the other which would you choose. I found a deal on Lincoln le31mp so it's about the same price as titanium 200 just trying to figure out if the licoln will work or just wait and get titanium on good deal?
@@TruckGuyHD92 not to throw out more questions but do you plan on using the tig function and do you have 220v and need to do thicker material? If you don't plan on tig and don't need the 220 capacity for thicker material then go with the Lincoln. If yes to those then pick up the titanium since it comes with everything, including the tig torch, and 220v ability.
@MechMaster I'm planning on using it to learn tig. I am planning on wiring in 220 for an air compressor so I will use same outlet for air compressor as welder. I dont plan on welding to much aluminum so that's not a concern. As for thickness of steel not sure yet. I also would like to learn stick welding
Lincoln just put out a new welder, almost the same price as this one the 211 MPi. Nice but, it does NOT stick welds! If you ask me, and don't need 240 volts, this is more useful. Even that the LE31 is only 120 volts,
I've done very little welding with a generator so I'd have to let someone else chime in. I do know you can take ohms law to get watts by multiplying the voltage which this is 110V and amps which at full dial this will draw 20 amps. That equals. 2,400 watts. You'll need a generator with that as a min. if not more because there are plenty of inefficiencies in generators.

To add to this comment, custom fabricated a four wheeler plow mount utilizing this welder. Didn't have any trouble welding 1/8 to 1/4 plate.
Me for $250 and NEW😮😮
@@dub123boy did you use standard 120V outlets? I got one too but haven't set it up yet
@@x0j Indeed. Worked great
@@x0jconnect it to 250 volt pigtail withe a 30 amp breaker, you can get more power and the breaker won’t trip 120v will cause the breaker to trip

I was able to pick a new one up for $550. That made it easier to decide on this unit.
You got a sweet deal!
Thats awesome where did you find it?
eBay. I always look there and Facebook marketplace.

How has the Hobart been for you? I had the 140 for awhile and liked it.
Would you pick this model over Lincoln’s Weld Pak?
The hose from LE31 fo gas is bought separately??

To use 6013 what is the best anp? A B C D F G ?…
what are the temperature ranges in letters to numbers ?

Will this work for auto body metal panels? Might welding?
This would be great.
When stick welding, how does the wire feed knob work?
It does nothing.
Anyone know the duty cycle?
60% duty cycle at 95A for MIG, 115A for TIG, and 80 A for stick.
Does it come whit warranty
You recommend this or titanium 200 mp?
They both weld great. If price is an issue I'd go with the Titanium, if you want a more reputable brand, then Lincoln!

do you recommend this machine for beginners? i plan to use it on my garage especially for project trucks
Easy to use for beginners so yes
What size and color did you get for the tig electrode ?
I'll usually go with a 3/32" red.
Nice review and machine
Thanks 👍

I'll have to check that one out!
Can i use 15amp breaker to my 180i mp dv?
max thickness with flux core is 5/16
With multiple passes.
When you change from flux to mig do you use the same roller ?
Different size roller
The flux core roller has serrations

@@-DIYPRO- thank you
What brand and tig torch was it
I was wondering the same thing. Links are in the description.
Check out the links. It was a no name brand from the zon! Thanks shweller.
Okay but what about the 180i mp do!?
That will be next!
Nice video!
Thanks!
The no tig torch is annoying! Having to buy all the pieces to be able to tig is so annoying
Yes indeed!
I like old welders. New ones arent as smooth or powerful.

Thanks!

Better than that garbage Harbor freight titanium welder
I got one used for 450 without the gas hookup
