I am a drummer that play a little of everything but I have to say that we hold the roots to all music frequency time holders. Your drummer is awesome bass player phenomenal insane keyboard and vocals. I live for this and glad to see it 🙌 you guys are the bomb 💣
I'm completely in love with all your arrangements. So unique and balanced. Pop, jazz and a hell of a singer. I don't where to begin with this band. I'm a singer myself and I was so tire to hear what's happening with music nowadays. Now, I'm all fired up!!! 👏👏👏
2012 started a decline in music programs in schools. At least it was like that in America. Preferring overseas music because American music has gotten mediocre.
I can only imagine the amount of practice they've done to get on this level. And obviously they also need lots of natural talent, too, because most people couldn't get to this level even if they practiced 48 hours per day for their whole life!
@@pauldavinci9398 that is very true. But I see some many people only blithering on about talent, but don’t understand the thousands of hours of practice it takes
Even after 7 years, this song still give me the chills, thinking if that girl...wouldn't "hit me back", I know I am screwed. 🙌🏼... This song is actually a heart broken 💔 song but done with a funk, pop rock, or whatever beat you want to call it. Thanks DL.
I think its really mature and sincere of jonah to stay silent at the end, even professionals tend to try and sing notes which they can not sing at the very moment, so they fail miserably. These guys dont have anything to prove about their abilities, so why make a perfect composition sound bad because of a few bad notes? And dont tell me that unexpected silence sounded (or felt maybe) bad, almost everything these guys do is about unexpected things and sudden silence was a nice touch after all.
I agree. Some things you can do in a studio can't be done easily live, which is ok. Makes studio versions special too. I have done notes both lower and higher than my usual range on recordings. I normally can't do a B1 or F#5 easily, yet have both recorded. I'm not really a singer though, but I do write some music which needs vocals.
These guys are absolutely killing it! Great live sound mix & performance. Wow, this is a perfect blend of excellent musicianship within the context of a great song. Bravo Dirty Loops!
With the Right Management...these guys will Reach the Top of the Music Scene ! That singer should just step out from behind the keyboards and learn how to be a front man....he's got it----just needs to groom that talent!
+jjsiegal1 WTF? Half the point of why he's so amazing is cause he plays and sings amazingly well. It's like saying Elton John should quit playing, cause he should be fronting!
First of all, I appreciatre very much Dirty Loops, the energy, the virtuisity, the creativity. If there is no doubt that their usual covers and original songs are not played Live in their videos, It semms that there is very few musician on that stage in comparison with the instruments we hear... for example : the part from 1'07, when Jonah just sings, handling his mike. We can hear at least 2 différent keyboard parts (while the keyboardist plays only one keyboard) PLUS some mute guitar, without any guitarist !!!???
love these guys, but this is the first truly "live" performance of them I've seen, and they did not fail to exceed expectations! So great to see them tearing it up @ Montreaux this year, and SO excited to see them in Los Angeles Monday!
So nice to See a band doing it right! No Vocal correction is sight, just pre-recorded backing vocals! Really awesome! Impressed by DIRTY LOOPS once again! Keep going guys, you make my day every time I see you play :D, Hope you have fun playing the Cape Town Jazz Festival in my home country of South Africa, too bad I won't be able to come see you...but catch you next time :D
Now that's what I call rippin it up! Maybe y'all could consider the fact that the audience appears to be so packed in for this act, that there is no room to move!
Respect for living through the silence of the best vocal run ever recorded. If he could do it once a night at the end of his set he would be a god. Still. I wish he would've tried.
Thank you for that, my feelings exactly. Jonah Nillson's work in the run that you referred to was probably the best thing I've ever heard from a singer. It gives me chills every time I hear it. I can't tell you how many times I've replayed just that passage. Jonah demonstrates incredible range and voice control and I am blown away by his talent.
He's doing extremely well with the arrangement he's written. The true jokes out there are people on Australian/American Idol, the X-Factor etc. who can't sing material that is infinitely less complex.
How much talent .. Certainly combined with the study .. But you must be born with certain qualities otherwise only the study does not lead to certain results. And I think they were born to leave a mark on music. Musicians like them are the rain in the desert .. There is always a need.
It is a pity that all these talented and wonderful musicians do not have a good composition to use their talents for. Songs like this we write 15 a dozen.
Austyn King Hey man, just saw them live in San Fran and he did it live. And the crowd was out of control loving it! I saw JT live (which was a fabulous show) a few months back and while he does an amazing job singing live, there were multiple songs throughout the night that he sang next to nothing on. His back up singers covered a lot for him, which was totally awesome and completely legit in my eyes. During Mirrors he sang maybe 10% of the time cause his voice was totally drained from the length of the show. But he owns the show! Just like Jonah did last night in SF. Go DirtyLoops! Spread the word!
Dirty Loops!!! All about the musicianship! Henrik is the rippinest bassist around...his fingers are like lightening all over the neck! And Aron is so locked with dramatic fills but not too many! He and Henrik are linked in unison. It gives Jonah some room.
+Detatipaced With a look like either a young Mick Jagger and/or Harry Connick Jr. Either way ... from a sex-object standpoint, he makes hetero girls panties wet and gay guys underwear hard.
He says "Come on, everybody, last song." Meaning it could be the end of a show and his voice is already tired. Another reason, I'm sure if he sang that run every single show, his voice wouldn't last very long. As awesome as it sounds, I really hope he's taking proper care of his voice so that this killer band will sound like this for decades to come!
Camilo Velandia I was there that night in Montreux, and he belts it out on every single song they play. They have done A LOT of gigs in Europe this summer, and with the launch in the US coming up, I'm sure he HAD to hold back a little. Who wouldn't, with the register he's operating in? The gig was FANTASTIC, and if they were to play the exact same thing as on the album, why even bother to see them live?
It's probably one of those things you get right 1 out of every 15 times in the studio... Give him a break, he's white. Besides, that run probably even hurts.
palonazo I got the joke. It was stupid indeed, since skin color has nothing to do with the ability to sing high notes. But I don't hate you for it. So sue me :)
All of those fans are musicians. The claps are too perfect and on time.
this is f*cking montreux jazz festival, bro
+heydanisthatyou And the fucking mix... all the instrument sounds perfect.
+Muninn Huginn Yeah, a sound engineer who know what he/she's doing.
+heydanisthatyou the beauty of real music, it attracts real musicians
+heydanisthatyou
Swiss precision!
FINALLY, a singer who can pull of live, what he promissed on the studio recording!!
Jonah is cracked asf and ridiculously consistent live
He didn't do that massive fucking run at the end tho xD I think I would have died if he had
@@SammyMakepeace He would too if he had to do it every show
It’s even better live. This guy is a force of nature with that voice
I heard this recorded and thought for sure that he was going to be shit live. I was so wrong
This is definitely a musician's band. The crowd clapping sounds quantized.
The better you are, the more the mainstream doesn't accept you
I'm 66 years old, but.. that's some of the best sound I've heard in awhile. Top notch vocals and that base player! Absolutely AMAZING!
Anyone else notices the subtle communication between the drummer and the auxiliary keyboardist at 1:26 😀
I am a drummer that play a little of everything but I have to say that we hold the roots to all music frequency time holders. Your drummer is awesome bass player phenomenal insane keyboard and vocals. I live for this and glad to see it 🙌 you guys are the bomb 💣
How in the hell do they sound so damn good live?! Truly world class musicians
The song that no average musician nor vocalist dares to cover live.
As a drummer I’ve never been that excited over a drum solo and I just found these guys
I'm completely in love with all your arrangements. So unique and balanced. Pop, jazz and a hell of a singer. I don't where to begin with this band. I'm a singer myself and I was so tire to hear what's happening with music nowadays. Now, I'm all fired up!!! 👏👏👏
I feel you my friend. I am not a fan of the music now since 2020 until now.
2012 started a decline in music programs in schools. At least it was like that in America. Preferring overseas music because American music has gotten mediocre.

Best band on the planet right now. See you guys in St Louis at the meet and greet!
His mixed voice is so perfect omg i cant even. I love this band forever. A dirty loops fan here from philippines since 2012! :))
This is just unbelievable musicianship (is that even a word!?)
Yes, and a quite common word too!
Bass player and drummer are the rhythm section from another word.
They are awesome. Tight, great players, fun to listen to. This is a great example of bands who rehearse HARD! Very important. No one gets that!
and they have all got natural feel. You can't rehearse that unless it is in there.
@@pauldavinci9398 that is very true. But I see some many people only blithering on about talent, but don’t understand the thousands of hours of practice it takes
Funk is strong in these ones!
That snare is killing it! What s great sound and of course the rest of the group also!
+jakemf1 The drum sound is so crisp. Really drives the song forward.
jakemf1 the hihat for me Sounds really weird 😁
DW snare man
For all those complaining about the end, just listen to what he does at 2:41 ! It's not on the record but it's just wonderful.
Finally, a live recording in great quality. Permanent goosebumps throughout the performance. Great intro. Great crowd. Pure awesomeness.
People sounding good live, that's rare today
Man, those drums sound crisp.
Even after 7 years, this song still give me the chills, thinking if that girl...wouldn't "hit me back", I know I am screwed. 🙌🏼... This song is actually a heart broken 💔 song but done with a funk, pop rock, or whatever beat you want to call it. Thanks DL.
Heard them for the first time yesterday and damn...😍
This band is just incredible - seen them today in Cologne and it was really stunning.....
Saw them in Nashville last week, and Jonas was doing ALL the crazy runs. He's really holding back in this version, honestly
Cuz that crowd is so fucking dead
Might’ve been having an off night! Still sounds great though
2:19 amazing falsetto alert :OOOOOOOOOO
Absolute ear-catcher! Just discovered you guys via Cory Wong. Thanks for such a great song and chords,

Jerry Jerri
That's literally the point he's trying to make...
The drum without snar in 2:16 yes nice
Fantastic, cant get enough of them. Keep it going guys
These guys are way too good. I am so glad to hear a recording of them live. They are the real deaL
This is incredible. Only discovered you guys in late 2019! Wow, superb musicianship and songwriting and delivered flawlessly live. Massive respect!

jjsiegal1 He does!
jjsiegal1 He better not. He's superb MUSICIAN, not a rock man, let him play .
let them Jaggers and Tylers be front men.
I agree!
+annah majewsky Yes, but look at someone like Phil Colins who went from being a drummer to, well, you know...
+jjsiegal1 WTF? Half the point of why he's so amazing is cause he plays and sings amazingly well. It's like saying Elton John should quit playing, cause he should be fronting!
How in the fuck does his voice sound this good live
Unbelievably awesome live. Wow!
And Aron. I gotta get off my chair when watching him play. It's pure perfection. Bliss!

I like how he sings "server or something" in this live better than one in the album.
Diese Band ist nicht mainstream das ist Kunst und höhere Frequenz öfter nur Musikern verständlich.
Their stage setup in this video is much better than most of the other live videos I have seen on UA-cam.
Greek Gods of groove , pitch and sense of rythm .... ! Simply Amazing...

This is some of the most insane fusion happening in the world right now.
This is musical vision and freedom.

How do you sound SO GOOD live?!?!?!?
The sound guys is the 4th member in the band o.O
For once im happy and prod to be a Swed, this killerband almost never plays on Sverige radio. Cant say more !

What a great band! That bass player is amazing. But then again so is the singer and drummer.
Bruh this is much better than pop and RnB music nowadays
What were those crazy breaks? These guys are mental.

❤
Pure love... My favorite song of them and great performance!
why are they so freaking underrated dude
You guys are insanely talented!!!! ***picks jaw up off of the floor***
And on the 8th day, God created Dirty Loops!
They basically park most great jazz fusion musicians, both live and on recordings. Still we are not satisfied? What a lot

Great video.☺️ I first saw this video on my Mum’s computer and I loved it.☺️
BRAVO!!! Если честно, думал, что ТАК уже давно не играют...))))
Reminds me of Rush, three phenomenal players who sound like an entire ensemble of musicians
I mean, in fairness, there's a fourth keyboard player in this performance >

Why doesn't he ever sing the vocal run at the end when he sings this live!!
I dunno, maybe because it's hard to pull off?
It's funny because everytime they play this song live people seem disappointed about the way it ends lol.
He would have to blow out his voice every night. Its an A5 and you can hear that its near the very end of his range
