In this video we're snowboarding in Perisher Australia and riding the park and tree runs. Before hitting the mountain we stopped by the Jindy Juice Bar for a breakfast smoothie bowl. In this video I share five tips for hitting your first jump, doing your first trick and hitting your first rail. TJ's also snowboarding in the park today and hitting some of the nature features in the park. The most unique feature of snowboarding here in Perisher are the trees. The gum trees are a unique obstacle to snowboard around a make for some interesting lines. Thanks for watching today and stayed tuned for more videos from Perisher and Thredbo this weekend.
Literally the best channel ever
what? r u reading my mind?:)
Bit nervous about hitting rails the first time but after this vid, gonna give em a go when I go for my last ride at Perisher next weekend .. cheers guys !! You’s rock !! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
how did it go
How'd it go my guy
I think he died lol
dabatoir hahahah
RIP
Awesome tip for hitting that first rail with low consequence by expecting to go over to other side and then working your way up to staying on the rail after getting a better feel and balance.
Loving those trees. Such a great location
Australia represent
You guys make it look so easy
Seeing Chris and TJ so happy is just the best thing ever.
Love your content it inspired me to go snow boarding!
Amazing! Hope you love it!
@@SnowboardProCamp I went for 4 days and it was the time of my life I went to Mt Bulla
thank you kevin
So ready for winter in North America!
Great vid
I will drive to perishier from Sydney tomorrow, hope I will see you there. I have watched your video for two years.
Good vid that will definitely help thanks guys
Hope the tips help!
So atmosphere blogs , like it , you cool , men 👆🏽🤙🏼😝
Hopefully I'll spot you guys at Perisher tomorrow! Those leichhardt rail features are now under the V8 chair.
I think it's interesting that you refer to your Outerspace Living as your jib deck TJ. Many other reviews are quite critical of the flex pattern on the OL and that is just passes for jibs. People who do like it say it's a board you have to charge hard on and be super committed to get anything out of it. You make it look so easy! I did struggle with it so I'm tempted to try another deck that's easier. Interested in your thoughts? Are people just too hard on the board? You ride a lot of boards, do you think a beginner that wants the mountain to be a skatepark should be on a different deck?
Yew ! Hopefully will find you guys at perisher on Sunday !!!
What degrees are your bindings? What do you think is better? -9,+9 or -15,+19?
Eating tutorial at the start helped a lot
My snowboard park is tiny, but has 3 rails and they are all in a huge decline so you go super fast, makes me too nervous to try them, any tips?
Go somewhere else
Bronze League get some crash pants and wrist guards in case your bust your ass so you'll be ok
Where’s the arcade belt Tj??!!!!
Cool
Hey I love your videos and have been watching for months now! I recently just started snowboarding this year and I was just wondering how much grabbing vs just bringing ur knees to your arm For indie grabs. Liek is it 60% bringing your knees up and 40% teaching down or should it be all knees so you can keep your shoulders square?
Sweet vid
Make sure u check those strawbs 😉
Sick video love your content guys!! How are you liking Perisher? There’s rumours going around that snow will be falling the Saturday coming!
Loving the spring conditions!
that was way rad always wanted to check out hotham and shit. killer vid mad thumb up
Definitely check out the snow fields!
When signs like that say "experienced riders" what does experienced typically mean? like do you have to be a pro or just have enough skill to be comfortable on your board?
'experienced riders only' doesn't mean that you have to be a pro, or be able to do tricks. It does indicate that the runs the lift leads to will be for riders that are able to handle steeper, possibly narrower conditions. If you're comfortable with having speed and are able to at least turn into switch, you should be fine.
@@MegaBusBros In that case I will be hitting those for sure, the sign has always been a bit daunting but that's a relief to hear, thanks dude!
What length horrorscope are you riding and whats your weight Kevin ?
Do you load the back leg for more pop on the ramps ? Or do you want to keep the weight on the legs evenly and bring you knees to the chest. Thanks for the help
Both work but popping off both feet is better for beginners
One time i just randomly wanted to do a frontflip on skiis. I went and did the flip and my skiis end got stuck in the snow. Luckely im riding snowboard now which is much better.
Ayyyyy I live in Jindabyne
Have Kevin or TJ talked much about tuning and detuning? Or is this something more experienced riders dont worry about?
Hi Kevin! How come you aren’t on the thirtytwo tm-3’s anymore? I was planning to pick some up for this season but I’d like to get your thoughts on em.
I think they were half a size too small and hurt my feet. Switched to the Lashed because I had them in the past and they were super comfortable!
What are those yellow gloves ?
Yo I was at Perisher a couple weeks ago! Which park where you guys at! I wanna know so I can go on it next time! Is it happy valley or am I dreaming? :)
Toxxic _ they went to liechart
Thanks
When are you guys gonna do another q and a?
Every Monday and Friday!
How fast should i go for rails? I dont commit fully and slow down then i spend so much time on the rail i slide off or fall on the rail.
i had this problem when i was starting to learn rails. If you feel like you are drifting to either side of the rail, bend your knees more and hop off. If you try to stay on, you might end up falling off and trying to catch yourself on the rail which usually ends in hitting your knee or side (which hurts a lot). If the rail is on a shallow slope, I'd say try to get relatively normal speed and hit it straight on, and if you feel like you're unstable on the rail, pop off of it.
I just hit a rail for the first time last trip and I found that it was easier with more speed. I would also say just try and be prepared to come off early or off the side, whatever happens just go with it and try to ride away
oh no what happened to the previous version
Had to remove a clip for the old version!
Wasn’t this already posted several hours ago?
ever coming back?
Straya
Where is this??
Perisher resort.
Southern New South Wales (6 hours from Sydney), Australia
NZ got better snow than Aussie, Aussie looks quite melty
Liguo Jiao Ye NZ has better snow for sure, but have you ever boarded at Perisher I was there last week and it wasn’t that melty
They were there in September. Pretty much closing in on the end of the season
where did you find this snow in september?
Perisher, Australia. We're having a pretty good late season this year but, usually there's only about half this much snow around this time
sup
Yo!
second
i skate and can hit rails, so i figured it’d be the same except theres no wheels
If you can skate and hit rails you should have no problem hitting rails with a snowboard. At least in my opinion it's a lot easier. I can do some rails on a snowboard but there's no way I could even get close to a rail with a skateboard lol
First
snow looks too slushy oof
why do they sound the same
reupload.
are you vegan? I am it seems like ur always eating vegan food. :) I'm going to my first real mountain with an actual park in two days I cant wait to try stuff
