This is so great! My golfing buddy’s son has Down’s syndrome. Him and his son golf at least 3 days a week together. He drives off the tee box, then his dad drops him around the green so he can chip and putt. He can drive about 125 yds and putts amazingly well, but rarely gets to play an entire hole because there’s always a group behind us. This will allow him to play his approach shots and get an entire round in!!! So cool! Thanks for showcasing this!
I laughed at first but that was a GREAT video. My friend had back surgery 20 years ago and has never played since. We had so much fun and so many memories of our time on the golf course that this would be something to get him back. Always great, Rick. Cheers from Chicago!
This is AWESOME Rick! I’ve been a playing professional for 30 years, and I can’t imagine my life without golf. I’m developing arthritis in the “pinky” and “ring” fingers of my left hand at only 50 years old and I can see that one day soon; I won’t be able to swing a club. All those years and years of spending hours on the practice tee is taking its toll on me. At least with this invention, I will be able to stay out there and be around the game that has given my life so much meaning. Take care of yourself and don’t neglect your health!! As always, nice review!!
I also am getting arthritis and can't grip a club like I used to, and I went to jumbo grips and it seems to help a lot. With regular grips it feels like the club is flopping around in my hands
As 4 Wheel said, jumbo grips help a lot. Try the Golf Pride CP2 non-tapered jumbo. Also, a little heresy here, grip the club in the palm of your following hand (right for right handers). More stability and less stress on the fingers. It was good enough for the greatest ball striker in history (Moe Norman). Watch the UA-cam video of Moe.
This a super thing and I so happy I watched this!!! I am a disable person got arteritis in hand and wrist. A lung problem as well. Played golf for well over 22 years. Still probably could chip and putt. But gave it up 8 years ago. THIS would change everything! I still have alot o friends playing and this would make me have a chance oing back to golf.... A HUGE Thanks for putting this up there for all of us that stuggels with disability. Big thanks! I def will look into this!
Who’s it for? I agree with what you said and will add amputees and those that may have some paralysis that prohibits a swing. I’ve seen versions of this type of club over the years and never really considered them as something legitimate. Now that I’m older, I can absolutely see the benefits to having this for some people. Great video, Rick!!
This would have been great for my grandfather. We have had a family golf tournament every year since 1972. My grandfather went to golfsmith to learn how to build clubs. I still have the set that he and I build together for me. It was not 6 months from the day he gave up his membership to the country club until he passed. This would have allowed him to play longer. At the end he had to drive up right next to the tee box, the ball on the fairway and even up to the edge of the green as walking was getting difficult. Taking the large swings out of the game would have been a benefit to him.

Would you like to crawl 75 or 200 yards to retrieve your kneecap sir?
You're drunk lol
You have proved again it's all about making the perfect strike on the ball. Cheers
Amazing. I think a new game has just emerged. .22 golf.
I have been waiting for technology to catch up to Cadyshack!
Totally agree
You need to combine this with the Polara Ultimate Straight golf balls from your other video. Then attempt a par 3
You should have tee'd up a few to see if that helped lift the ball.
I love this product! I think of all the old dudes that can't swing a club anymore that would LOVE to get out and play again... Heaven sent! I can also see many ways to shape shots. Also, maybe square grooves for more spin... Endless possibilities.
Golf takes a long time to master; this will do me for now, I can go out and play with the guys without having to put in a lot of time and effort on my long game. Cheers brother!
Please don't do this, if your able bodied, just take the time to learn to proper way or you never will. Taking shortcuts like this will get you nowhere
Help him get too 1 million
What? You have 7 bruh
Brian Sim 8 now
Imagine swinging and hitting the cannon at the perfect time
This would've come in handy when you were hitting 1000 shots in one day
😂
This changes everything for Physically handicapped people who can't make full swings I thinks it great, I through about this 10 years ago, WOW and some one invented it. When its made more affordable, Golfers will buy it just to use it for driving, and this is the first one with a 200 yard limit, wait until they invent the one that can hit it 300 yards or more great Idea.
Bravo Shielsy, awesome video, God bless you sir
Feels like it could be greatly improved with a spike to hold it steady in the ground when you 'fire'.
I thought the same thing!!!!!
Suggestion: do a giveaway of this club to someone who needs it.
And play a round against them (give them a suitable golf handicap to make it competitive)
@@charcolew and just what handicaps do you deem suitable then for golf?? /s the /s means sarcasm for those getting whooshed.. it's a cripple joke.. in a golf thread..
@@oldpro8783 Whoa, old-timer. This was NOT a joke about people with disability. I meant that someone who couldn't play any more should be given the club to use and play Rick in a competitive match where the scores are adjusted to even things up. I am afraid that the word "handicap" has connotations which do not apply to golf, unless you think I am having a laugh at the expense of people who are too old, injured or restricted to play (I am getting a bit old and slow myself). I would get no pleasure from such a sad action. And I even edited my thread to make this clear!
You just can't say anything these days without someone getting offended..
Being a wheelchair user, this actually is brilliant
Yeah seems good for this reason. How would you play your short game though?
@@froomer17 probably equally as badly as when I wasn’t in a wheelchair to be honest
@@Wonmanbanned haha, very good - all the best!
Nice one Rick, something different that will work for a number of people with certain disabilities.
This club would be perfect for wounded warriors or people with handicaps that would normally preclude them from playing golf.
"Obviously from the USA" - You're damn right Rick!
This thing is basically a stun gun to dispatch livestock.
Thought that's a bolt gun as stun guns are electric
@@lolbox360 “laughs in Anton Chigurh”
@@lolbox360 I think you missed the meaning of "dispatching" animals
Exactly what I was thinking. Dead cows.
Anton Chigur on “No Country...”
4:04 now I want a fully automatic golf club.
Baned by the gun grabbing pga of America
Finally a club for my swing...😁👍
new way of playing golf . golf of the future
These look like bullets.
It smells like gunpowder.
[should we tell him?]
Tell him what?
Lmao
Bigboy, that its a blank, As in a round of ammunition just missing the bullet itself.
It looks like ammunition, and smells like ammunition, because it IS
@@gummybread they’re little blanks used for construction tools. Driving steel spikes into metal and concrete.
It smells like gunpowder because it is gunpowder. I wonder if this thing could start a fire on a dry course, from the powder flash.
"obviously it's from USA" LMAO
it's kinda sad everyone is thinking that. The Gun has replaced Christianity as religion in the USA.
@@jhchooo it would be gr4at if neither existed
Matthew cho Guns have not replaced anything especially religion, I'm a Christian and nobody I have ever heard of has steered away from it because of a gun.
@@carsonyoder6294 I believe you missed the point
@@jhchooo this is a club that is made for disabled people. I don't see the correlation with guns or religion.
Forget about a swingless golf club, I’m mesmerized by his accent 😂
I thought he was drunk
