Time may have passed, but their lives have stood still. Should they be punished for risking their lives to save someone else's? They deserve the best care and attention that America has to offer.

And still Jon keeps on fighting for those affected by 9/11. He has turned his sights on legislation regarding the Burnpits from Iraq and Afghanistan. Those Burnpits have led to cancer and respiratory diseases for veterans that were in those areas. The man has a huge heart. Give em hell Jon!

The video of Jon asking Congress in front of a half-empty room was heart breaking.
To be fair, the room was more than half empty. It was that way because it was a subcommittee meeting being held in the room used for the full committee. Only like 1/4 of the members were supposed to be there, and almost all of those were there. I'm not sure Jon actually understood that at the time, though he did give one hell of a speech.

@@tima9790 - Fairly certain. A politico article broke down the situation and one of their main points was that only a dozen or so of the full 40 something committee were supposed to be present, and that Jon most likely misunderstood this.
McConnell likely just finds it easier to mislead everyone rather than try to explain the truth. "We're busy" is simpler than an in depth explanation about the difference between subcommittees and full committee meetings.
