Thank you for this. I just got the game recently and this was giving me hell. Your technique plus my own allowed me to finish in under 5 minutes, which I literally didn't think was possible. It did take me like a dozen tries, but I did it!
Only time I hated this game! Why the hell would they suddenly turn a chill game into some precision platformer ON A TIMER??! It's as if one of the last spirits suddenly asked you to go kill zombies in FPS mode as a task. Hm... wrong audience?
Just wanted to thank you for this video - this is literally the only way I was able to make it through the Gold Dragon. I watched it as I made attempt #5849357 (lol) and paused every few seconds while I followed your steps through it. I legit was starting to think I wasn't going to be able to finish this game, so thank you!!
Thank you sooo much for this video!! I tried this last night and got too pissed that I kept falling off and had to keep climbing my way up all over again! I honestly thought that I wouldn't finish the game because of this stupid request! But the I followed your steps and completed it from the first try! ❤
(im sorry for the long text but i really need to get this out of my chest) i HATE this quest with a burning passion, i have tried this SO. MANY. TIMES. and i still can't finish it! because there is a time limit, and i need to be quick, but then i fall, and it takes a long time to go to the needed plataform, and then I FALL AGAIN BECAUSE I PRESSED THE WRONG BUTTON- and then i waste the whole 7 minutes i have, but i still gotta finish THIS STUPID DRAGON!!! and then it gets to a point where im so filled with rage that i cannot continue playing, so i have to take a break for a while, restart, only for the process to repeat all over again... i probably will try again tomorrow because its hopeless to continue right now... when i come back to it, i will use the video to help me, hopefully it will work.
Catching over one third of pulsar rays is the hardest thing i have ever tried in a videogame. What did they think when making this quest ? Im a semi pro fps player, i played all from software games multiple times. After 6 hours of trying and reerangig my boat i have to give up. What a shame ! Really really poor game design there !
I can't finish the gold dragon. Its the dumbest level in a game I've seen in a while. Not sure how they expect you to jump from platform to platform when you cant actually see them. I just finished without doing it. But that is not my point. I just needed to vent about how badly this quest ruined the whole vibe of the game. :) But I did want to offer a suggestion for your issue. It's pretty easy with a bit of strategy. It takes a little while to Edit, but it's worth it. Its how I got all my XP potion as well. Go to the Edit screen and (if your ship is big enough) move all of your buildings up and to the bow. So if you picture your ship area as a big square. All of your structures will be up as high as they can go from left to right. Then top to bottom on the right side. This leaves the entire bottom left side of your ship and about 60% of the deck completely empty. All of my stuff was so high up, or to the right that my ship was completely empty as far as the camera was concerned. Then all you have to do is run left and right, or up and down a ladder (for other quests). It's super easy. I hope that helps.

I loved this game because it was a relaxing non challanging experience. This quest and another bug just runed the whole experience for me and i dont feel like i want to return to the game
@@SammieStrange Samantha I finished shortly after I wrote that post. So its been a while. But, I don't think its required for your progress. Just for the gold resources. I just finished all of the quests and I escorted everyone to the door. It didn't hold me up.
Not to worry, gave my switch to my 11yr old son to have a go. He’s never played this game before and beat the dragon in his first try!!!!!! Guess I’m really bad and he’s really good!!!!
Never thought I would rage quit on a management game, but here we are 🥲 Finally made it through though with only 25 seconds left on my timer, I swear I was shaking of nervousness by the end. Great video, helped me familiarize the dragon’s pattern. Thanks!!

Do you have to mine every gold ore? Seems it goes on repeat sometimes, much more than in this video! Any help please x

Absolutely amazing game up until this quest. Completely ruined the fun and charm of the game. I attempted this 2 times then turned it off.
