- Welcome to the Knitting Expat Podcast channel ... this is a spinning vlog showing how I went through and spun a 2 ply gradient fractal yarn with two braids of fibre and how I prepped the fibre into rolags on my blending board before the spinning and plying.

This video helped me so much. I understood the concept of fractal spinning but seeing you make rolags out of your roving and lay them all out made it all click for me! Thank you!!!! Such gorgeous yarn!
Such a great tutorial on how you make your rolags, thanks!
I love how the yarn turned out, but the rolags delighted my color love! Cheers!
Thanks for this video! I finally understood how this particular type of spinning is done. "Ciao" from Rome (Italy)
Love Hugo. My cat is a solid gray and her name fits her well "Luna". Love the colors you picked. Can't wait to see more. Ty

You’re so gifted ! Thank you for sharing another great vlog . I’m learning from you and have been spinning much much longer ( lol!) I think your enthusiasm ,and willingness to jump in to try out a new ideas is what inspires me most . Sometimes, it’s all too easy to fall into the default spin . I’m glad to get challenged by not always knowing what will come of experiments. From Lisa R

I stumbled upon your spinning video while watching spin compilations and I saw your kitty! Are they a Scottish Fold? I love the ears!
The black kitty that was in the video is adorable! Is it a Scottish Fold?
yes it is!
Really enjoyed your help. I’m new to spinning, just wondering a good place to buy fibre in the uk, where does everyone go?
Thanks for keeping me company this morning! You were the first one to “like” my Instagram post. 💕 I enjoyed this video very much. I’m a new drop spindle spinner and am just mesmerized watching other people spin. You fiber color was beautiful. I can’t wait to see what it becomes! I’m dmbrown240 on Instagram
That’s so cool, Mina. Do you use a Lazy Kate for your bobbins as you ply?
yes i used the onboard lazy kate
Mina,do you find you have to adjust the tension on your wheel as your jumbo flyer gets toward the end of your spin? I find I have to as the pull is greater as the bobbin fills. I do love having the one continuos thread!
