Do you think you can do a video about how the CSL can rebuild itself?
As an American I had no care at all for the Vietnam national team, but you've hooked me. Now I find myself searching them up and paying attention to their games almost every day. Goodluck to Vietnam 🇻🇳
I'm from Vietnam. Thank you and good luck to a new lunar year :3
Man, watching Vietnam winning on Lunar New Year, was a really good feeling, we were extremely pleased that the national team won
Correct
They are not ur national team.
It's amazing the way this guy has got me to really care about the fortunes of an unfancied national side whose country I have never visited. That's the power of good storytelling I guess.
I was at the games Vs Australia and I was extremely surprised at the number of Vietnam fans and the noise that they made. Even when they were 4-0 down in the dying seconds the fans would start screaming if Vietnam even looked like going forward. There was a lot of red in that crowd and it was truly a fantastic sight to see the passion of all those fans.
I also went to the game and their support was amazing. They even got some decent counter attacking opportunities.
Melbourne has a decent sized Vietnamese community albeit mostly came after the Vietnamese war from south. Since the early 00’s more students or migrants from Vietnam have assimilated into Melbourne and Sydney.
Not that the outcome would be different but we did not bring a few of our aces to that game. Park Hang Seo did his bet on the win vs China and it paid divident.
And your women's team has a pretty good chance of making the World Cup too! Congratulations from a SEA neighbor, you were literally the first person I thought of when I saw the scoreline

A great building block for Vietnam for the future. Still have two games to go. Against Oman and Japan. Japan will be worry because the coach is Korean. Japan’s play style suit Vietnam. So I think Vietnam can give Japan a tough game. Remember japan barely beaten Vietnam when they played in Hanoi.
They also say it that way when we face Australia a few days ago and that match went disastrous
@@DungNguyen-dk8wm That match our main goal was to give some new players a game to see how good they are, so obviously we lost because those players were inexperienced. But if we use our good team for the rest of the qualifiers, we could get a good result against Oman and Japan.
Have you seen the ito junya volley?
@@Bruv-ex5hb It's really hard to recreate that, he got lucky when the ball just squeezed through the leg of the Saudi defender
Japan 4:0 Vietnam
As Korean-American, I can imagine how exciting it was for Vietnamese people over this victory. For me, I think this victory was more exciting and satisfying than Korea vs Germany in 2018. I was personally more excited about Vietnam's victory over China on Lunar New Year than Korea vs Germany 2018.
Despite both countries being underdogs, difference was, China vs Vietnam was straight up going for a win from both sides, opposed to Korea vs Germany where Germany had to win at all cost while Korea can win, tie, or lose where it made no difference since Korea was eliminated 99%. Korea spent entire 80 minutes parking the bus just to not have humiliating loss such as 5-0. Vietnam on the other hand actually attacked and scored in first half and second half.
Not only this, despite Korea beating Germany, I have lot of respect for Germans and I can acknowledge that Korea got lucky.
However, in Vietnam vs China, Vietnam didn't get lucky. They outskilled and beat China without questions asked.
And watching China fail miserably was so exciting.
And for Vietnam to do this on a Lunar New Years Day as first South East Asian country's first victory in the qualifiers? Epic. It makes their previous 7 losses trivial because this moment is epic. I think it's worth the 7 losses to record very first victory from SEA country in the qualifiers and to be done against China on Lunar New Years. If Vietnam was not going to make it to the World Cup, might as well have an epic moment like this and that's exactly what Vietnam did. Huge Congratulations.
The China fans obviously wanted a win because a win in new year means that year will be flying colours for them but I don't think the players really understand that concept cuz some of the Chinese player are Brazilian and they might not see the importance of winning in the start of a new year.
man, you are unreal. Korean went crazy that day when Korea beat Germany. And you say you even more excited when Vietnam beat China but you are not Vietnamese
@@ThanhTruong-ig3uf Trust me. It's simple. Only reason for Koreans to be excited about 2018 is the fact that Korea beat Germany at a world stage FIFA World Cup 2018. But here are few factors that led to it. Korea was pretty much 99% eliminated. So Korea can afford to lose since there's nothing embarrassing about losing to world champs. Germany on the other hand, must beat Korea in order to advance. Not even a tie. This mindset difference already gives Korea an edge.
Korea parked the bus for 80 minutes and then capitalized on the moment of Germany's sloppy defense. So can we really say we beat Germany because we are more skilled? No way. 99 out of 100 times, Germany will beat us. Korea got lucky. But I will take that luck anyday if that 1 out of 100 turns out to be in fifa world cup.
Also, I have no grudge against Germany. Germany has been very friendly towards Asian players. So at the end of the day, it's all fun and sports.
China vs Vietnam however, I hate China. That factor itself already makes me hyped up for me to root for any team that China plays against.
And then there's Korean coach Park Hang Seo, who I wish for his success with Vietnam.
And then China spending over billion dollars in their league and their entire infrastructure of their national team while even naturalizing several foreign players to play for them but losing to a country whose league V.League1 only has market value less than 35 mil and Park having to choose players domestically. Using limited resources and limited players, they are able to humiliate China on Lunar New Years while over 1 billion people watching the game, I can feel the excitement. Not only that, watching Vietnam dominate and destroy China, without needing to park the bus and playing like warriors taking down a giant who tries to buy their way to victory, is very satisfying.
Oh, and as American, it reminds us that spending more money and power doesn't guarantee victory and Vietnam reminds us again. Only this time, spending proportion ratio of China to Vietnam in soccer was way higher than US to Vietnam in War. 🤣 So even as American, I feel less embarrassed now thanks to China's fail.

I am an Australian and I was at the game in Melbourne. The Vietnamese away support was absolutely crazy, they out-sung us Australians. It was quite cool to see because we have such a large Vietnamese community in Melbourne who all got together and supported their country. Their supporters were so friendly and I enjoyed laughs and positive exchanges with many of them in the ground and outside it before and after the game. Watching them beat China, I felt very proud and happy for Vietnam when they won. Congratulations and I hope Australia meets Vietnam again!
Congratulations Vietnam!!!
You had high expectations from the Vietnam team, your players were new and unfamiliar and they are in a difficult group, so you should not complain about them, give them hope to prepare for the 2023 Asian Cup with experience and to Elimination steps find their way.
WE DID IT BOY,VIETNAM DID IT
Things I gained after the match:
- CFA officials is even dumber than VFF’s
- Nothing can stop Hung Dung from becoming Vietnam’s legend now,man just return from breaking his leg and his ACL yet still in his peak after returning.
- Tuan Hai and Tan Tai have sealed their position in the national team after that performance
- WHERE THE F**K ARE YOU IN AFF CUP TIEN LINH? VAN DUC? HONG DUY?
- Tan Truong is cursed these days
- Hanoi FC fans have their field days of bashing HAGL
- We will have to wait more time for Maqwell’s Vietnam RTG
You missed to credit the injured goalkeeper Nguyen Manh Tran. His goalkeeping was marvelous, it gave Vietnam a massive confident. Reminds me of the goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung during the historic 2018 AFC U-23 Championship.
@@brainletcommunity Nguyen Manh is decent, but as he is consistently good even when he is in Viettel I’m not sure that’s what we gain after the China match.
Until Van Lam finally get fit or Filip get Vietnamese nationality (which is unlikely) or Tan Truong somehow get out of his curse (which is even more unlikely) he will be our first choice so…yeah
Bui Tien Dung now is just a pure flop lol,he wouldn’t even start at Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

Man you gotta see how China justified their loss after the match. From how that disallowed goal of Zhang Yuning was supposed to be accepted; how that early foul that cost them a yellow card for the captain was too harsh and discouraging. And the most ridiculous excuse, they thought it was "unfamiliar" for them to put on the white kit instead of the usual red. But all in all Viet Nam played well, it was like a new year present for the whole country

Dude legit me and my dad havdtears in our eyes after the game. After 7 games of unimaginable pain, esepcially that heart-wrenching loss to China, I feel so damn proud to be Vietnamese after this win. Heck, we might get a positive result against Oman (no hope against Japan tho) but damn never feel so optimistic about Vietnam's football. Regaring Vietnam's domestic leagues, I can say that our league is getting better than it was 10, 15 years ago. However, we do need to improve our league's quality if we even dream of getting into the World Cup. Although Asia will have 8 slots (plus the playoff) from 2026 WC onward, but Vietnam need to produce quality young players to feed into the national team in the long run. The training of young players has never been Vietnam's strong suit and this really worry me about our chance into getting into the World Cup in the near future.

Beating our archrival on the first day of Lunar New Year? Bet you can find a better feeling than that. Do Hung Dung - our new captain also the best Vietnamese box-to-box midfielder right now - was definitely the game-changer for us. Coming back from a horrifying injury in March last year, he was in form and literally influenced our performance, his partnership with Nguyen Hoang Duc (or with Nguyen Quang Hai to be a midfield trio) is gonna be a major threat to others. We also found a new gem - Pham Tuan Hai. Despite no goal and no assist, he delivered a very good performance and is the striker that Vietnam really needs. Good physical, more agile, composed, good off-the-ball, high workrate, basically an upgraded version of Nguyen Van Toan, definitely can play as a lone striker, a forward on the flanks or 2-man striker with our Vietnamese Piatek, Nguyen Tien Linh.
New gem thì kp new gem, từ lò hà nội đc hỏ chiến đưa cả đội trẻ sang hồng lĩnh hà tĩnh, Tuấn Hải gánh hồng lĩnh hà tĩnh ghê quá nên hà nội đưa lại về luôn, ai xem võ lít nhiều là biết.
