Honestly you deserve more subscribers, you such a good teacher. Nice pace and nice explaination. I wish you all the best in your channel, you deserve it 👏
Wow that's truly great to hear as that's what I was hoping for with thid video! Thanks very much for your comment, and I am glad that you were able to put together your own dashboard!
Very informative! Question, how would one identify for time gaps between calls and get that average from the data? Assuming the data has time one call ended and where another began…
I am glad you enjoyed the video! I would use subtraction formulas down the column, then when you have a column that contains the gap / difference, then use the AVERAGE formula to average the entire column
Fantastic way of demonstration od developing a dash board to show various KPI's of Sales domain with help of Google Spreadsheet. I would like your strategy to develop a sales dashboard. Actually I am a associate Data analyst especially in sales and Marketing Domain.
I am glad that you enjoyed it! It just depends on the type of sales data that there is, there are so many different ways to do it. On my website there are sales templates that you can take a look at:)
HI, I have a question about the date format, when I imported the file to google sheet the date in cell G2 which is supposed to be August 10, 2020 (8/10/2020) is being recognized by google sheet and excel sheet as October 8, 2020. When I used the max function, I am getting a different answer
Hi, this may be related to the date format in your location. For example if you are located in Europe your date format will be different than the U.S. You can try to change this by clicking File > Settings > General > Locale > United States
Hey there! Spreadsheet Class. I want to learn google sheets from beginner to advance and build my custom dashboard from scratch to the end. Are these videos enough for me to do so? Kindly assist me to achieve my goal😊
Hey great question! This video alone is on the beginner side, but I do offer an entire free course that will take you all the way to being advanced! Here is the course: www.spreadsheetclass.com/dashboards/
It is very extremely high quality and well-explained tutorial. Your Voice Quality is very Clear and Excellent. Well done Sir. Kindly inform your other Tutorials. Best regards. Greetings from India 2 Spreadsheet Class
I'm stuck on this and would appreciate some help! I'm unable to run any calculations for the dates. When I do "=G3-G2" I get either a "False" or "Value" error. So I can't get past this early step. I've tried reformatting the dates and changing my location and that's not rendering the correct calculation.
Can you tell me which time in the video that you are working on when you get this error? Initially it sounds like maybe one of the cells has something other than a number in it, but I can look into it if you tell me the time stamp for where you're having trouble.
@@spreadsheetclass Yeah same problem I too faced a while ago (timestamp 12:30), changed the locale to USA and then subtracted dates again only to find 46 and not 13 as result. On replicating the step mentioned at 14:30, I got 8/12/2020 in A3 cell, instead of what the tutorial shows at 14:30 [UPDATE: On 15:33, I got 342 as time span which is surely wrong]. Now I am bamboozled and thinking of skipping the tutorials which I was really enjoying so far :/ Please help. UPDATE-2: At 17:00, getting 0 in cell B3. [okay this was resolved when column E2 was formatted to 'currency', it is my fault actually that I too went straight to creating Dashboard instead of my usual practice of cleaning the raw data first]
I just typed them in this example. You can also use the UNIQUE function to gather a unique list of names that are found in the raw data, but this would assume that at least one of each name is found in the raw data.
This was such an amazing foundational course!! You did such a great job narrating the entire course, excellent 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤯

I love this, names for the sales rep can also be automated by "= UNIQUE(Import!C2:C)"
Glad you like it! Indeed that's how it's done! Good call, I go over that in my other course haha.

how did you automatically populate the name of the sales rep? it doesn't show on this video tutorial

WHEN I AM DOWNLOADING THE GOOGLE SHEETS TO EXCEL THE DASHBOARDS ARE NOT VISIBLE WHY??
These formulas may not transfer to excel perfectly, they are just designed for Google Sheets
I am getting MAX date 8/12/2020 if using MAX formula. the formula should give the 9/8/2020 date. Can you please help me with this?
It was solved. :-)
Glad to hear you found the solution!
@@savitaverma1716 How are you able to solve this? I am also getting same error, date format becomes different when I imported the file

@@savitaverma1716 Hi Savita, How did you solve your issue? Kindly reply.
I dont have the "List from a range" option.
This may be due to the recent update from Google Sheets on how the drop-down menus work. Now the option is called Dropdown (from a range)
Like this one

Thanks
