- The Ink Spots were a popular vocal group that helped define the musical genre that led to rhythm & blues and rock and roll, and
the subgenre doo-wop. They and the Mills Brothers, another black vocal group of the 1930s and 1940s, gained much acceptance in the white community.
Here in my lonely room I cried my heart out over you Can't seem to pull myself together Now that we are through Each time I look at your picture I begin to pine All because it reminds me You're no longer mine Here in my lonely room I almost drive myself insane Watching the tears like raindrops Splash against my window pane There's only one thing I know of That would take away this gloom And that would be to see you standing Here in my lonely room
Beautiful. The Ink Spots.
What a beautiful song :') thank you Haku1234567890 I have never really been interested in this type of old blues before but now it's all I listen to, thank you for putting real music where anyone can see :)

Hizkia Jeremmy I hope everything gets better for you
I've noticed they use this tune quite frequently.
Jimmy Holmes wow
it's jimmy holmes, heading charlie fuquas ink spots. bill kenny wasn't in the group at this time and had gone solo. honestly, i prefer jimmy holmes singing to bill kenny, but that is just personal opinion.
These guys start all their songs exactly the same
A lot of their songs but not all.

I love this recording. I have a radio station 78 rpm vinyl copy. The sound is magnificent.
Actually, this is Jimmy Holmes singing.
+Ben Tabler You're right, it has the Jimmy Holmes high pitch tenor voice. And the Harold Jackson bass voice.
not the original group, but still great
Please fix the tittle
