- The Ink Spots were a popular vocal group that helped define the musical genre that led to rhythm & blues and rock and roll,
and the subgenre doo-wop. They and the Mills Brothers, another black vocal group of the 1930s and 1940s, gained much acceptance in the white community.
The Ink Spots bring back such wonderful memories of my childhood. I cry every time I hear them.
I read this and thought you were a milennial or Gen-Z that played fallout as a kid and then I saw your profile picture and understood.
How old are you? I was like negative 56 when this song was #1
82
This came out in 1944. I was 6 yrs old
@@05251938ful you were born in the same year as my grandad :)) he loved the ink spots too
Damn, wish I could've seen this preformed live... Legends
It sounds amazing still no matter how old it will always be loved
This goes on the “different intro” list of ink spots gold.
One of my favorite songs from The Ink Spots, probably top 5, all their songs are so peaceful and calming
The Bill Kenny voice more the voice of Ella is like a perfect combination😍
Timeless
I'm making believe that you're in my arms though I know you're so far away
Making believe I'm talking to you, wish you could hear what I say
And here in the gloom of my lonely room we're dancing like we used to do
Making believe is just another way of dreaming, so till my dreams come true
I'll whisper "Good night", turn out the light, and kiss my pillow
Making believe it's you
I'm making believe that you're in my arms though I know you're so far away
Making believe I'm talkin' to you, wish you could hear what I say
And here in the gloom of my lonely room we're dancing like we used to do
Making believe is just another way of dreamin', so till my dreams come true
I'll whisper "Good night", turn out the light, and kiss my pillow
Making believe it's you
And here in the gloom of my lonely room we're dancing like we used to do
Making believe is just another way of dreamin', so till my dreams come true
I'll whisper "Good night", turn out the light, and kiss my pillow
Making believe it's you
What a lovely song
I'm the only person I know at the age of 33 to have these songs play at my wedding. I couldn't ask for anything better
That's amazing!! I'm so happy to hear that. I'm 20 years old and I love this music so much. I started listening to this music when I was 13 years old. 💜💜💜✨✨✨
Wait a song without the Classic Tune in the beginning?!
i think it's because they did a collaboration with Ella Fitzgerald
Play at 0.75 speed. Different mood
0.25x for the special 'Celine Dion effect'

Ella Fitzgerald must have been quite young when she sang that middle eight.
She was 28 when this song was big
Sophie Scholl brought me here . Sophie Magdalena Scholl ( 9-05-1921 - 22-02-1943) Germany's greatest hero 🇩🇪

All I imagine while listening to this is a barnacle filled lounge that has a leaky water pipe gushing onto a piano
