What a lovely kit. I wish we could buy many of the lovely knitting gear here in New Zealand. Thank you so much for your show. I have learnt so much watching your videos. I took up knitting a year ago to help with PTSD symptoms. I was ab absolute beginner but now I can knit in the round, do cable and kind of knit with dpns. Thank you again.
I’m back and I got my needles this morning. I ordered the 4 inch ones as I like knitting with shorter needles. I attached the needles to my current knitters pride cord that the work is on - the needles connected seamlessly as you said. I really love these needles, mg stitches are sliding so quick that I’m knitting even faster. So far these are the best needles I’ve ever own in my life.
@@angelazuniga-jones9539 I ordered mine from Amazon- the shipper was Fabulous Yarns - i ordered them on the same day this video came out and I got them on Saturday. I ordered the 4 inch needles, i did have to buy longer chords for that set.
Have you tried the supposedly 4” needle tips with the so called 16” cords? The tips are actually 4.25” and the cable is 7.5”. Impossible to use. The tips are sloppy, it’s like they aren’t even the same type. The same size, yet one is long and narrow, the other one is thick and short. Really disappointed with the poor quality for the price.
@@CookingWithTovia ah okay, I ordered mine from Laurel Hill the day the video came out but it doesn’t look like they have been packaged yet for shipping, I hadn’t thought to look anywhere else 🤣
If I understood correctly, you can use the new Lantern Moon cables (coated stainless steel with no memory) on any Knitters Pride tips. So if for example you have a KP Ginger interchangeable circular set, you can use the Lantern Moon cables with the Ginger tips. That is a huge plus. For me, this would mean I could give my two KP interchangeable sets an upgrade with cables as good as the ones on my ChiaoGoo interchangeable set.
@@Dragon-Slay3r I have a suggestion for you. Hobby Lobby has a wonderful set of acrylic interchangeable needles made by Knitter's Pride Pro. The needle tip sizes range from US 4 through US 11, including both sizes 10 and 10.5. Cords will make needle lengths of 24", 32", and 40". The set also includes end caps and cord keys. I believe the current price at Hobby Lobby is about $22. I paid $18 for my set about 5 years ago. I have really enjoyed using these needles. The acrylic tips make the needles light and comfortable. They have just the right combination of smoothess and grip. Very compatible with most yarns. They come in a nice case. Nothing about them has broken, and I use them a lot. I think you will be pleased with the quality and value of this set of interchangeable needles.
I have purchased the Lantern Moon 5' Heirloom Interchangeable Needle Set. I am excited I cannot wait to receive them. Looking forward to the knitting experience! Thanks Staci for the added details the information was most helpful!
I have been knitting for 25 years, I never run across this brand. When I started I didn’t have much money (I still don’t 🙃), I didn’t know anyone who would teach me to knit, so I had to teach myself using a small booklet that I bought in Woolworth (how about that for memory lane?). The only needles they had were the Boye metallic, different colors that peeled off at the tip after a while (and I could hear the clickety click all the time🤣). Those knitting needles you have show us are beautiful and makes me wish I had known the Lantern Moon brand. Thank you for introducing it to me, I’ll be on the look out now
Sounds just like me! I taught myself to knit and crochet with booklets and Bates needles from Kmart when I was pregnant with my daughter. 😊 Still at it today!

The yarn box is so pretty and handy fitting quite a large skein / cake with feeding hole and handle that you can take anywhere. Fabulous products. Thankyou for showing.
I've never used Lantern Moon but this is exciting! I love that they carry a set with just the smaller needle sizes--I hardly ever find myself needing anything above a US 8/5mm.
Just have to leave this message. After this airing,I purchased some needles. Omg, went back for more & plan to replace all my sizes. They are truly magic & great on the hands. Thank you so much!!!
I have a full set of Lantern Moon fixed circs from about 20 years ago. I don’t use them much now because I didn’t love the plastic cords, as much as I loved the needles themselves. I will have to check out the interchangeables with the new cords. Or maybe I’ll get one or two pairs of fixed in the sizes I use most. Thanks for showing these.
Love Lantern Moon, am great full they are coming back. I’ll need to go on line I love the little zippered pouch. Holds all my yarn small goodies. This silk pouch goes everywhere with me.
I loved my old lantern moon circular needles but always hated the cords. I used to just dangle all of them on a coat hanger to store them.😅 I was so exited with the new launch, I bought the heirloom set along with extra needle tips and swivel cords, plus some accessories. Love them to bits!!!!!
Yay! So glad Lantern Moon is back! I have always loved this brand and those cords are a game changer. I treated myself to the Knitters Pride Self Love Set for Christmas and they also came with these stainless cords. I will be treating myself to these too! Thanks for such a great review!
Oh Staci, I love your demonstration on the Lantern Moon needle set. For me, who has arthritis in my fingers, the Lantern Moon tool that tightens the needle to the cable is a game changer. Thanks for the review! Yes, you're right, I'm excited! Two things I wanted to ask. 1. You didn't mention needle points. Sharp, medium, or blunt? What's your opinion? 2. I use a small cup without a handle stuffed with poly fill, covered with a crocheted top to hold my needles, cable needle, darning needle, and dropped stitch needle/hook and scissors. It's an amazing help. Does Miss Sheep have a solid fill or poly fill body? Thanks!

One review said that they were 24 karat brass not gold. Will have to check it out. Either way, thanks for sharing. Not in my budget at the moment. I’ve got 7 sets of interchangeables so I’m good. 😊
Been using the 4” ancestry set for a month and I love them. The only negative is that they’re not ideal for lace work due to the swivel joins having some gap. Everything else I have made with them was an excellent experience. I haven’t tried the fixed cord join though, so maybe that would work with lace.
Thank you Staci for the review. I too own needle from long pass. Now I'm going to order pair and vheck it out, like I need another needke. LOL. Have so many needles, could open a store. 😄

From my recent experience, the cords are in a permanent curl, which is driving me nuts. It’s a brand new Lantern Moon set, so I’m hoping the cords will relax over time.
I recently ordered the Lantern Moon set you show, and I beg to differ regarding the cord. Maybe over time mine will uncurl and lose their memory, but right now I’m using them for the first time, and the curl is driving me nuts. Otherwise, the tips are wonderful for the splitty yarn I’m using for my project. The ebony is so warm and smooth. I’m trying to get the cord to relax, but it’s very frustrating. I’m loving the stitch markers, and they are wonderful for the fine Shetland lace project I’m currently knitting. It has double YOs, and these markers keep them in line. They also do not snag. I’ve been interested in switching to swivel cords rather than fixed but I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a huge quality difference in these cords compared to knitters pride mindful swivel cords? If I can I’d like to save a little but don’t want to regret missing out on these cords if there is a noticeable quality difference. Also will they fit onto my knit picks needles?
The cables look like the Lykke cables. Are they interchangeable? My one complaint with the Lykke set are the cables and would love to replace them with swivel ones.
So I went ahead and ordered a few interchangeable tips and cables kuz lord knows I don’t have enough already and I just wanna update that the cables dooooo fit on the knitpicks tips. 😁
Sounds like a lot of us have many different brands and types of needles. My question is being on a tight budget does or will these cables work on other brands of tips of interchangeable i realize the screw in on the cable end but wonder if any other brands with this type of end will interchange. From what i can tell these must be similar to the ChiaoGoo wire cable. If anyone can answer this i would love to know.

If I can I’d like to save a little but don’t want to regret missing out on these cords if there is a noticeable quality difference. Also will they fit onto my knit picks needles?
Don't the chiagoo red lace stainless Steel fixed needles have the nylon stainless cords too?
I believe they do. I have two sets of chiagoo needles (the socks sizes and regular sizes) and both sets have the red cord with the stainless inside
The cables look like the Lykke cables. Are they interchangeable? My one complaint with the Lykke set are the cables and would love to replace them with swivel ones.
My new Lantern Moon cables fit my Lykke needles.
Got a new set this Xmas for present . So disappointed when one of needles snapped and I was just knitting
If these cables fit all the Knitters Pride tips does that also mean they fit KnitPicks tips too? Please say yes, I have so many wooden tips from them
I don't think so, sorry. Knitter's Pride and Knit Picks are different brands.
So I went ahead and ordered a few interchangeable tips and cables kuz lord knows I don’t have enough already and I just wanna update that the cables dooooo fit on the knitpicks tips. 😁
How long are those tips on interchangeables?
The 4” tips are actually 4.25”. Too long to knit with the 7.5” cord that’s provided.

From my experience, Knitter's Pride cords fit all Knitter's Pride needles, but not other brands. (Maybe Lykke, I haven't tested it myself.)
My Knitters Pride cords fit both of my Lykke and Knit Picks tips.
I just discovered you can use Knitpicks cords.
Hi, are they as fast as Knitter's pride gingers?
Shoot, I was hoping you'd talk about the tips? How sharp are they?
Great video thank you
I cant find the sheep accessory holder in the link, can anyone else find it?
Sorry I keep trying to post the link but UA-cam won’t let me. If you click on her Laurel Hill link it’s a little more than halfway down the page. It has two different kinds so just click the picture for the sheep accessories holder and it’s listed on the page that pop ups
Those look amazing! I’ve only been knitting for 2 years and looking to get some new and easy to use circular needles. Thanks for your video 🥰💖
If you want a cheap awesome option. Zing interchanges. I paid for signature needles. Like the worlds most expensive. I actually prefer zing!!
Re Liz’s “zing” needle reply- Zing are metal and slippery for newer knitters. These wood are easier to knit with and good to hear they are smooth, but I wonder at all black, like if knit with dark yarn gets hard to see, so I prefer lighter wood Knitters Pride needles like their ginger set.
Does anyone know her new schedule for videos? Is it no longer weekly?
It is, or it will be weekly again soon! I'm working like crazy! I will be honest, it's a struggle. I'm in my third year now of shooting videos at home and doing all of the studio work myself, plus everything else that goes into each video. Hopefully the virus will take a backseat soon and I can get back in the studio. Until then, I'm working to coordinate with yarn companies and knit the samples for the next video! :)
@@verypinkknits oh thanks for the quick reply Stac, no worries! Thanks for all your hard work on putting content together for us. It’s appreciated. Hopefully life can get back to normal soon 🙏🏽✌🏽
You look like the cat that got the cream, a kid at Christmas or in a sweet store, just google searched options for buying in Uk, will have to wait a little I think
So excited! Thank you for the review 💕 The hubby said I can get a set (I’m so lucky, he never says no lol) I’m now impatiently waiting for my order to arrive 🤣
I love this set. It is sad, that it is only for influencers:(
Please help me
Knitting channel which category in UA-cam
Hola soy de Chile
The dpn's are the cheapest needles I have ever had. I started a pair of socks and in 3 stitches these needles snapped in half. I would not recommend the dpn's.
I have TONS of Lantern Moon products-some purchased before Knitters Pride started them and I love using them🧶
Aww my comment never went through. I just want to blame you for my impulse purchase. I can’t wait until I get my set. I’ll be tagging you soon on ig.
