Looks like another part that could be a problem down the road, not impressed, ford you can do better, stop following Chevy and dodge.
Was not a feature I really cared about before I got my new truck, but having it now for a couple of weeks I definitely love the accessibility of the tailgate, it's a great feature
How do you get in the bed with tailgate down. I think I would miss the step.
There is an option for a fold down step next to the hitch, the part of the tailgate that doesn't move when the door opens has a handhold built in. Personally my biggest gripe is that you can literally see through the tailgate on the hinge side and if you can see through it water and/or mud will easily get in too no matter what your top cover solution is.
These types of tailgates are not good-look AT ALL. The Ford symmetrical appearance is certainly better than RAM's version, and the usefulness is very apparent. Most people are loving this featurejust not loving to look at it.
I see absolutely NO need for this tailgate . . For anything. Narrow door that can't close if long material is loaded, inconvenient or no step without using the door, the narrow side pieces are completely useless, it will leak even with a cover, it takes more clearance to open the door than the tailgate, many more parts to break or bend requiring adjustment or replacement, can't be as strong. But, "HEY YA'LL LOOK WHAT I GOT!!!!!
Is it interchangeable with the 2019

When I factory ordered my truck the pro access tailgate wasn't available, which I was okay with. Just got my window sticker today and I notice the pro access tailgate is now included in the bed utility package. After watching a bunch of videos I think I'll like the added functionality especially when my travel trailer is connected. Was concerned about losing my "old man step" that comes out of the tailgate but looks like they widened and deepened the area on the rear bumper, so it acts like a step now. I see you can add a step that retracts as well but I'll see how it goes without it for now. Thanks for the review
Weren't they able to still have the tailgate built-in step?
Rams door give you allows you to load a skid. This does not 👎
When building a Tremor I noticed if I want the other Tailgate with the Step, I couldn't have that and remote Start from the Key. What is the reason for that?

Didn’t feel different to any other tailgate to me. Mentally I know I’m standing on a door, physically you can’t tell the difference. If that helps/makes sense.
Is it possible to open it while the tailgate is down?
@@crashmyparty the button isn’t functional when the tailgate is down to prevent that from happening.

I've seen so many people complaining about this feature only to love it once they got it.
Just bought a new Platinum with the Pro Access Tailgate and I think I will love it. I carry a lot of bagged material like fertilizer, mulch, and bagged dirt. Being able to get right up against the bed when loading and unloading will be great and much easier.
