Learning 10, 11, and 12 personnel happened on this channel a year or two ago. Today ACE, Jumbo 12, Bunch, and Broken Bunch was added to my vocabulary. Thanks again coach!
The thing i like the most about this lions offense is it feels built to beat 2 high safety. They will give you pass looks and audible into a run and vise versa. The run game can burn you if you dont fill the box and they have enough speed to burn you if you fill the box and try to play the recievers close. Absolute trust between rbs, recievers, QB, O-line, and coaches.
Around the 7 minute mark you mentioned Laporta being used as bait you are spot on and I believe imo that he does this specifically for two reasons one to allow Sam to block in the run game which I thought was his biggest strength as a te secondly Sam as a decoy in this specific formation allows bigger windows for Jaymo to run those crossers that we get explosive plays off of so unlike last season where Sam was option 2 in the progression he is getting his receptions as the 3rd look and it keeps the defense unbalanced once we get to exploiting the defense with the play action ben Johnson is bill walsh reincarnated figuratively this team could average 40 points a game easily the rams didn’t even come close in 99 so kudos to you for seeing the Goffense evolve
This is never stated enough. "Oh, LaPorta isn't producing as much this year" is something I've heard a couple times. We showed last year that he is a SOLID weapon, which opens him up this year to be more of a threat that you always have to plan for. This is how you want to be able to use a TE in the NFL.
@@narhwallord6985 absolutely I think the same could be said for st brown where Ben is deliberately using them as decoys then you get a swing pass to Gibbs or a nice out to Raymond in the flat a go post or dig with TP for clutch possession receptions just more options to move the ball downfield and keep the defense guessing off two significant formations it’s a site to see where as I feel I can call the game as it plays out magnificent artistry frfr by the coordinator
I think a big part of the effectiveness of the 12 personnel is Sam LaPorta who is effective as a blocker and as a receiver, combined with the lethality/efficiency of Detroit’s running game. Again, thanks for the content Coach. Educational and entertaining.
Hey coach, not if I enjoyed but how MUCH I enjoyed! Seriously you've made my Sundays more fun for 2 years now. Shrug off the CLE thing (Division rivalries like GB-DET are one thing but CLE-BAL will always be in it's own category) And The Lions will be the cat chasing the Bird in SB!
I think instead of playing the video of the same play multiple times while talking over it that it could be more helpful to edit it to be slowed down sometimes instead just to show how the play develops better. Love your analysis
Ben Johnson runs a finesse offense that is highly demanding of a quarterback. Watch Hendon Hooker play for his LIFE every time we tell him “go be like Jared.” The Goffense is not a rocket ship that just anyone can fly 💪🏽🦁
To be fair to Hendon, he's usually trotted out with reserves so he doesn't get the same luxury of playing with the first stringers. That being said, he's the backup QB because he doesn't have the same playing level as Goff, and that's not a knock on him, just a difference of ability and playing experience.
@@YzaliaJoule Yeah, Hooker is not at all the same style QB as Goff, and he’s got a half decade LESS experience. BUT! Sewell, Ragnow, and a couple other played 100% of offensive snaps PLUS 24% of the special teams snaps. Hooker is still out there behind the same O-line.

I’m a offensive minded guy
As always, fantastic job coach.

Enlightening breakdown as always, learnt me a thing or two, thank you for the quality content Coach!
Now that we know how much a of a stud Monty is with throwing darts, I wouldn't be surprised we see a Wildcat formation soon. The well is deep.

always enjoy these, and the trick plays, I don't think they're so much 'tricks' anymore as just more like niche tools in the toolbox.
I need ben Johnson to be the raiders head coach I really want him
Hiss, he's ours
@@aminjames9243 we are happy where he is.
Good job Coach keep it up
