Love that setup
Too cool buddy, thank you for sharing your knowledge ✌🏻
Thank you! Do you have a hybrid kit? 🤗
Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more. Keep up the great work .
Thank you! Subscribe to my channel and you will be notified about the new videos! :)
Found it
Where do you normally get your samples. Do you use the stock samples on the octopad and TM6 Pro or do you use your own? I love the channel!
Hi! Thank you! I mostly create my own samples based on some that i bough or based on the stock samples.
How do I reach you about drum tracks
Contact me on facebook or instagram or send me an email!
Your channel is very inspiring and motivating!
Where can I find sequences like those on the beginning?
Thank you! In this video I used backing tracks from bands I played in and there are a few that I created for this video. You can find loops online for example on Splice
Please help! I have a roland BT-1 how do I remove the spacer so I can mount it on a stand by a rod do I take the unit apart???🥁
I was hoping that you could help me out. I bought an SPD-SX, and I have 3 triggers associated with it. I have the RT-30HR going into Trig 1/2. (This trigger works perfectly)The BT-1 and the RT-30K are both going into Trig 3/4 with a splitter. I believe that I might have the wrong splitter because I need to go to setup and program my BT-1 as a KT-10 and my RT-30K as an RT-30K for it to work. (The splitter that I have is a Roland Male 1/4” stereo going to 2x Female 1/4” mono) It works, but I need to set the threshold to 20 on both the RT-30K and the BT-1 in order for there to be no mistriggering which I don’t want to do. What kind of splitter do you have, and have you ever experienced this issue? Should I be buying the Roland PCS-31L instead of the splitter that I currently have? Will the PCS-31L fix this issue?
Hi! Your method should work in theory. When splitting a trigger input I always used a cable like the Roland PCS-31L, no female plugs included.
@@TheHybridDrummer thanks, I’ll buy it now! 👍🏻 love your videos
@@TheHybridDrummer hey, I just had one more quick question that’s driving me crazy. I am using the Sub Out feature for my snare and kick triggers so that the sound guy can mix those separately to the spd-sx pad sounds (which is going main out with my bt-1). I was wondering if it’s possible to add FX-1, and FX-2 to the Sub Out, or is that something that can only be used with the Main Out?
Eres el mejor... gracias Máté
Hola , vendes samples? Saludos
Muito bom
Great video
Thank you!
Absolutely love your setup, I def want to add tm/6pro to my setup, eventually want to buy a kit with RT tigger set so my kit could be hybrid or A2E depending on mesh or Mylar heads, A2E for home , hybrid for gigs/ recording sessions.
Wow so glad I found your channel. My new band wants to do a house type of sound and there’s a bunch of random percussion. I’ll have to practice along to your vids to get used to this kind of music/hybrid techniques/set up
thank you very much ,you are the only one do this trap type lesson!
Could of explain the settings for your Roland rt drum triggers. I have the same ones but they are both always triggering each other or the Toms are triggering them. Thanks
Try to set the triggering threshold higher
Please make an in depth tutorial on how you mix your hybrid setup!
Hi Mate!!
Do u use a hihatt controler pedal also?? Grettings from Chile
Marcelo Andres Montero Araya hi! Yes, i use a Roland FD-8 hihat controller
Kudos man, I love your content!
Fabio Poian Music thank you!
Awesome vid, keep it up... 👏
Man from 5:37 that's some MAD sounding groove.
Thank you!
Absolutely excellent, top draw. I was the first to use the Simmons pads and brain/ 2 channels in Manchester England 🏴 I think 🤔 it was around the late eighties early nineties..... you’ve inspired me! Baz 👍🇬🇧
looking forward to this
Love the vid, love the playing style. Can't wait to marry my Octapad and my acoustic!
William Mousdell glad to hear! :)
Brother answer me in SPD 30 how to tone bulit
Hi, i am a new in hybrid drumming, how do you check the volume Level in a live situation between acoustic und electronic sounds ?
Something like the vers of a song is acoustic drumsound and the chorus is electronic ??
01Issues hi, and welcome to the world of hybrid drumming! :)
That is basically the job of the sound engineer to have the right balance between the acoustics and the electronics. You might want to tell him how you’d like the balance (for example 60% trigger, 40%microphone sound on the bass drum), but he or she will handle it
@@TheHybridDrummer ok, thank you for the answer. So the only way that i have the Controll is the volume knob on my octapad, or whatever. To have 100 % acoustic sound or 100% electronic sound ?
01Issues yes, basically if you dont want to hear the octapad, you can turn down the volume
oh yeah :)
Great video.... thanks!!!!
Thank you!
Being myself a hybrid drummer, thats one of the best tutorial ever to show the application of a real Hybrid drum setup. You've showed all the possibilities...great one :)
boydrakz12 thank you very much! I'm happy that you say so :)
What's your setup like?
@@TheHybridDrummer Im having a Tama drum set with sabian and paiste cymbals, and for the electronics an SPD-20, TM-2 with 2 drum triggers and I'm soon getting a TM6-pro as well.
@@boydrakz1214 cool! The TM6 pro is really cool i think! :) I show some features of it in detail in my other drum lessons, if you are interested :)
@@TheHybridDrummer Indeed its a very cool module. Thats why I am ordering one soon. And yes saw your other video and its nicely explained. Just a small query, does the BT-1 and KT-10 or even an RT-30H trigger require a stereo input or can I use a split-Y cable and get two of them connected to the same input of the tm6. Was wondering despite them being a single zone trigger, perhaps they use a stereo cable helping to avoid false triggering. Thank you to help. ;)
How did you set up your hihat controller set-up for pitch-bending? Can you set it up to turn the triggers on and off? Thanks!
I have a trap drumming lesson on my channel, i show the pitch bending there. But you can also use footswitches to control certain parameters, like change kit or tap tempo, or effect on/off
@@TheHybridDrummer Thank you! So you can use a hihat controller with SPD-sx to turn effects on and off?
@@xzaarr1 no, only with a footswitch pedal, like the boss fs-5 u
