Thank you! I’ve been tortured by the silent treatment dished out by toxic individuals most of my life. It would have me on edge and in tears being treated like that. I would never do that to anyone that I cared about. It’s sick!
Absolutely true. They torture you emotionally and psychologically with this. Experienced such thing many times. Anxiety, ruminating and worry from this tactic is painfully devastating and it was precisely this topic that I've got to know about narcissism as such. Only thing the narcissist wants with the silent treatment is to punish you mentally. The narcissist enjoys it as you go mad trying to figure out why they are silent. Totally agree with you Elizabeth, I experienced this silent treatment and when I asked the narcissist what was wrong she threatened me 'I want a divorce, I will never give you custody of the children'. After that I closed myself up, kept quiet and only replied with a yes or a no. Thank you Elizabeth 💜
Narcissists play their own games with you when you allow them to , when you have no idea what a narcissist actually is , and then you do find out what they are , it blows you mind how people can be and have been . Why does this happen , what have they gained from you and destroyed , the world we all live in is not perfect , but you can make the best of what is left , do it (directing myself) .
I’m not fawning ok! But you have some type of live experience that you convey in a way that is dragging me forward. I’m not getting as mad I’m just going through it. Your facial expressions when your talking and waking seem like your going through something right now. Everything bad or good I’ve learned from. Mostly bad, I never learned much during the good. This is a good perspective to observe. Like I can learn it without having to be IN IT
