Thanks you. However, the problem of extract solids is that the start and end region of the solids don't regenerate dinamically once you split, add or remove one region in the corridor. It's a pity in Bim workflows. Moreover there is no formula in property sets that figure out this issue. Hope this will be manage by Autodesk.
Hai Jeff, In my corridor solids the Corridor shape information all the elements especially assembly start station is 0.000m and the assembly End station will be say 41.499m and its exporting as Length not as a chainage how to change the information as chainages in place of lengths while exporting solids
Hi Jeff, is the same process applied to exporting pipe networks and the properties set can be carried over to the 3D soilds and exported to .ifc format?
Hi Jeff, thanks for explaining the extract solid function. I was wondering is there a way to extract the solids diagonally? I am asking as i found that it only extracts the solids on a straight edge. I am trying to slice and dice the model in preparation to link the respective solids with construction activities in Navisworks to create a 4D programme. I was thinking that perhaps we cause extract by polygon which may allow us to extract in the desired shape. However, would the suggest method be manipulating the extracted solids itself? Would be difficult as it's in a 3D space. Thoughts?
I am working breakwaters Civil 3d, I made subassembly and corridor , everthing working But making corridor extract to 3d solids , one solid is pending , i tried too much , I couldn't get any solution, if you have time i can share my drawing , other any other way to make 3d solid from corridor
