Good video. What about the portion without median and the rounding of curb end

This is a great video. The part about "cutting a hole" in the median after targets were set to inside median left and right, My corridor will not do that. What is the setting to eliminate the inside of the median links?

Was this video shortened? I remembered seeing more to this and I was looking at my notes and had info on how you flipped the feature lines outwards, set frequencies, set polyline targets for median lip... let me know if this is true and if I could see this original. I would like to view it again please.

Is there a way you can explain how did you create the assembly in the beginning of the video?
Because the target mapping dialogue box shows the median items and I cannot see them in my case. TIA

There are two Assemblies used in the demonstration. The first is for the road. It's just a standard crown road assembly that uses the LaneFromTaperedMedian1 subassembly. The discussion for this is found at ua-cam.com/video/ZGl-JfhZGac/v-deo.html
The second Assembly is for the median itself, and that entire process is found at ua-cam.com/video/ZGl-JfhZGac/v-deo.htmlm32s. If you're having trouble building the lane assembly, see how I add the curbs to the median assembly by selecting the circle (attachment point) of the assembly. You'll select that same point to place the lane subassembly when building the road assembly.

    Good info.
How do you show the median openings???

That's a good opportunity for a follow-up video to this one. The basic concept to model the median openings is to split the Median region two times; first at the start of the opening, and then at the end of the opening. With the corridor region representing the median opening, I'll then assign a Null Assembly to that area. That will result in the Median being removed, but there also is a hole in my lane/road.To fix the lane, I'll begin by splitting its region twice; first at the start of the opening, and then at the end of the opening. With that region defined, I'll then adjust the lane Targets for the open area of the median, removing the median offset alignments as targets. With those targets removed, the lane will return to a standard crown throughout the median break.

Thanks. Yes, that would be a good follow-up video.

Thanks for the explanation for the median opening. Then I would like to add on to this topic of how do you model the median noses?

Great topic Donnie. Let's continue the discussion by shifting the median as you would for a left turn lane into that driveway. I'd do it, but your voice is so much better than mine. :)
