Man I miss this era of Indycar. Loved this Chassis also, once the air box looked this way and everything else yea this car grew on me from the beginning of this era in the end from me missing the CART style look. Though I did miss the CART era look, I loved these cars still more than some Champ Car Chassis during their run. Plus this is Indycar which always came first in support before they untied. Plus I loved the ovals we ran. This car was sharp and especially in night races like all Indycar chassis current and past did. Fatter rear wings, complete open wheels and open cockpit! The sound! Bitter sweet because even though a favorite Indycar driver of mine won 2 Indy 500’s basically with this car but is also the car he passed away in. RIP DW and JW. 🙏Love Indycar my favorite sport. Miss these schedules incredibly also. I love ovals and street/road but ovals more and because they are the heart of our sport because of IMS/Indy 500, plus it’s exciting and badazz. I miss more Dirt Track drivers not getting the opportunities as much though. Anyway love it all! Nothing else like it anywhere else in the world with 3 disciplines, these cars especially looked like fighter jets on wheels and on ovals just sick! MERICA!😉🤙🏎️🏁🇺🇸
Thank you for uploading, but please don't spoil every single race you upload with the thumbnail image! To reply to what will obviously be commented: It's been nearly ten years, there's been many other races, and not everybody followed Indycar back then. A ten year old race CAN be spoiled.
I'm an Andretti fan but this accident was Marco's fault. Marco drove Ryan Hunter-Reay down too low on the track and Ryan understeered up into him. Very similar to Al Unser Jr and Emerson Fittipaldi at Indy in 89 except of course Emmo saved it and won the race.
18:07 Thanks for Clearing that up 😂😂

Love these HD quality uploads! I couldn't afford HD back in 2008. I remember watching this race, but in crappy SD on my tube TV lol!
LOL...Was it at least a 32" CRT?
No. a 27 inch CRT. Couldn't even afford an HDTV back then.
No aero screen, true open wheel oval racing, balls of steel😎
I watched this race the night that my son was born. His mum went into labour just after it finished !
phr tao at least you got to finish another exciting race part of another exciting season mate.
That’s what i call good timing!

Indycar oval racing is more interesting than the entire F1 season
Timi Akinlonu i totally agree
Agreed. Coming from a big f1 fan . I first thought ovals were bad but now i think they good and entertaining.
indycar changed my mind on ovals completely. It is so much more than turning left its mind blowing.
If you like watching accidents, yes, Indycar oval racing is great. I like F1 better.
i like both, both are built different, indy is more high speed, F1 is more high acceleration coming out them corners pulling many g's

X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X a solid request.
For me it doesn't matter how old the race is. Even with those 1987 races I got annoyed when the thumbnail spoiled the winner.
Absolutely. To add to this, I couldn't even have watch a 1987 race because I wasn't born yet.
1:56 Chip Ganassi says ladies N gentlemen "START YOUR ENGINES"
These cars are vastly better looking than today's cars.
Wow look how many people at the stand
Amazing without the PJ1. Passing every lap!
Agreed. PJ1 kills Indy racing.
Too bad they messed up TMS with it.
incredible RACE -Dixon good////thank you INDYCAR
Hey IndyCar, can you upload the 2011 Firestone Twin 275s at Texas?
Race Start at 6:27....
I can't believe a track this good could be ruined so quickly. If only the current indycars could race at texas like they used to
1:20 😂😂
To bad indycars can't beat and bang like NASCAR would be great to see them at Bristol

41:26 💀💀💀💀
So is this Chase Brisco's dad racing in this race?
No. Ryan Briscoe is Australian and has no relation to Chase.
F1 is the best but Indycar is great fun too
The thumbnail for this is false-as-heck advertising!! I thought it would be a side by side finish not a finish under yellow! jeesh
should have red flag it
Danica sounds lost, as usual. Hate to say it, but she really doesn't belong in an Indy car, or any race car.
Well then I guess your happy that she retired then.
