There is no better kind of racing to watch than in this race around halfway mark. Just stunning to see about 10 cars battling for the lead at 210+mph. I know it's dangerous, but it's just too awesome.

American Patriot Daytona/Talladega would be nothing but draftfests. I’m all for the slipstreaming helping out in overtaking, but in my opinion if the guy with the fastest car can’t pull away from the rest of the field or is getting passed by much slower cars that’s poor racing. It’s not very pure.

Yep, the track Closed because of the Pandemic last year (2020), and so far this year, (2021), no races at all have been scheduled), so right now the fate of the speedway is up in the air, cause right now, really sont know if the track will Ever reopen....

The only time Castroneves won a race without climbing the fence. Because Dixon was declared the initial winner but the finish was reviewed by the officials and it was Castroneves who actually won.

I don’t understand why Indycar is trying to kill off all of the ovals. They should be going to Milwaukee, Fontana, Chicago, Michigan, Pocono. Indycar is the most universal open wheel series in the world, and getting rid of all of the ovals is not the way to keep that title. Granted the only other major one is F1 and they aren’t racing on ovals ever.

if the ovals in 2019 had the attendance the ones in 2008 did, they'd still be there. and even then, because of how ISC did the tickets for those races, indycar wasn't make any money from it either.

They actually did try it back in the 70’s but testing found the tires didn’t hold up.

something the commentary missed. the wave-off at the start was actually do to marty roth. he'd had some problems and dropped back, but then decided he could have his original starting spot back. indycar apparently argued the point, then just let him start where he was. this was his last race...
