All I can say is wow, that “owner” was every bit delusional. There was no signs he actually wanted a winning team, he just wanted to say he owned a team lol
Liked. Every owner wants to brag about owning a team, and all of them want to win, but maybe only 1-2% are willing to win if they don't make a profit. The first team that comes to mind is the 2004 AZ Diamondbacks who lost 111 games after a dominant five-year run, just two seasons after winning 98 games and the division, and three after winning the World Series.
My family have been die-hard Cavs fans for my entire life. I grew up going to Cavs games with my Dad. He passed in 2017. I like to think that the Cavs won the championship for him before he passed. I probably haven't heard it in 20+ years but the sense of nostalgia was strong.
that's awesome! we have a license to a music library that tons of other media groups use and back in the day we had a lot of music crossover with guy fieri shows, so i'd say sharing a track with an aircraft doc is a slight upgrade
Fun Institutional Racism Fact: I'm a lifelong Mavs fan. In the 1986 Draft the Mavs were highly expected to pick Karl Malone with Cleveland's #7 overall pick. However, Mavs' GM Norm Sonju nixed it, saying the team needed more white players. Thus, the Detlef Schrempf pick. The Mavs lived (benefited) from racism and they died by racism.

He is definetly NOT the one to break the warriors. 🙄
He finally played as good as he was supposed to after being hurt or disappointing in almost all of his other series. He's still getting too much credit/faith for getting a chip as the sidekick to this day. His injuries and toxicity should make teams pass on him.
YAY!! I could not be more happy that we get a whole documentary on this chip. I love your guys’ stuff and this series will bring back so many memories, even not being a Cleveland fan.
16:54 “it began, ‘the forwards line up on opposite sides of the floor…’ I couldn’t believe it. I threw it right in the trash” LMAOOOOO
I’m not super into sports…..but I love story telling and y’all excell with these stories of triumph and failure.
I find it ironic that literally they mention the 2003 draft in 1982 or 1983 mentioning how it would be tough for the Cavaliers to win a championship before that point and that the 2003 draft is when their fortunes will turn. Lebron was not even born yet!
That's because it's all scripted. Research gematria
As a diehard Cavs fan since 1986, I love that SB is making this a really, really long and in-depth video! Go Cavs!
YES
lol get out of here
@@SecretBaseSBN I hope we can get new Collapses soon. 🙏
One of the most incredible series I’ve ever witnessed
Dear Seth Rosenthal, please come back and do Beef History. That segment is also suffering birth and destructions as well. It need you to resuscitate!
More football rewinders would be dope as well!
Today I discovered that while I was away working at summer camp in 2021 I missed an S tier SB nation series... this is like Christmas morning. So excited to binge the next two episodes starting.... now
“There’s a Cavalier approach to NBA dealings in Cleveland” what a brilliant headline lmao
as a cavs fan, i’m loving this. we never get attention and it’s nice to have hope for a bounce back like we’ve done before.
I desperately hope this is the video that gets people to notice SB. They've done too much work for just 100k views
This was sublime. Love the editing and the 80's theme. Brilliant! Great job to the entire team.
I am a Warriors fan but the Cavs history is fascinating
Another masterpiece Seth and Crew! Got chills multiple times during this video, cannot wait for part 2/3!
Big Cavs fan, just happy I finally got to see my team win something. Was worth the wait and can die knowing I finally saw them be champions.
This is like the opposite of Collapse. 'Rise' lol
This is quite possibly the best series I’ve seen on youtube and it’s only episode one
This was really interesting, very well done.

Your rewind videos are simply unbelievable, and some of the best sports documentaries I have ever seen.
Home boy at 7:57 should have a technical for that taco meat sweater he’s got on damn bruh
For reall
My family have been die-hard Cavs fans for my entire life. I grew up going to Cavs games with my Dad. He passed in 2017. I like to think that the Cavs won the championship for him before he passed. I’m so grateful to have been a part of a team and a city so full of hope, because that’s exactly what we needed.
Another fun fact: My name is Brent. I was named after Mark Price’s brother, Brent Price. My identity is literally tied to this organization, lol
2016 are the year of underdog and really need a good rewind tho
Cleveland city won it first ever major sport trophy by winning the NBA
Leicester city winning the premier league beating all odds
Portugal defeat the fan favorite france to win the euro
also the Broncos beating the hyped up favorites in the Panthers with MVP Cam
Hope they do Portugal.
And the Cubs winning the World Series for the first time in over a hundred years.
It’s the play b4 that...that changed the momentum...
& Love playin that defense...is also VERY underrated...
It’s almost like you shouldn’t hire someone because of their race and instead should focus on if they are actually good at their job.
So this is a little weird, but the music they used from about minutes 3 to 9 gave me goosebumps. I used to watch a lot of episodes of the aircraft documentary Wings during the 90s, and this is one of the tracks they often used.
@@SecretBaseSBN who needs to defy gravity when you can exist within flavortown?
Fun Institutional Racism Fact: I'm a lifelong Mavs fan. In the 1986 Draft the Mavs were highly expected to pick Karl Malone with Cleveland's #7 overall pick. However, Mavs' GM Norm Sonju nixed it, saying the team needed more white players. Thus, the Detlef Schrempf pick. The Mavs lived (benefited) from racism and they died by racism.
Luk, Kristaps, and Dirk would like a word
@@LemurJackson We're talking about the 1980's, dumbass.
To be fair, Schempf had a very good career, but yeah that was a bad one.
This is so, so good.
We love our Cavs and I'm super stoked to see the other installments in this series. One of the best moments in sports history and easily my favorite sports memory as a fan
Wife: “Honey I’m going into labor!”
Me after I see this was uploaded: “I just need 30 more minutes.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Secret base I will never forget this channel you guys work the hardest to put these videos up and I gotta tell you what your doing is amazing. Don’t stop the good work this is what we need for new nba fans to learn. Thank you!
