G-Body T-top Adjustment

I’ve heard a lot of different opinions but do you believe having a t top is worth it or too much of a hassle? I’m really considering buying an 87 t top Monte Carlo but I’m hesitant. There has to be an invention by now on how to keep these t tops from all the problems

If it's gonna be garaged, I'd say go for it. They can handle light rain, but anything more and you'll have eventual problems. They are fun to own, but eventually, they all start to rust along the A pillar. I just really think that due to the design they can't be made to be 100% waterproof.

Great trick and tip. I’m at a similar point where I’m shopping to get new weatherstripping all around on my 87 t-top car. Which brand and vendor did you go with for the weatherstripping? Also have you found a source for the bushings you describe should someone run into a broken one and it needs replacement?

I had t-tops on my 84 it leaked bad and had a big hole where it rusted bad at and my windshield was buckling cause my t-tops was rusting bad under the weather stripping and I ended up giving that car to my brother and bought me a hard top it's a 85 2door olds

That's always seems to happen with these. Right where the A pillar meets the top.
