It’s so crazy what people can see in ball pythons, I’m always like look at those nice normals 😂

I totally get it, but it makes me wonder how many of them look normal, but actually have a super form like these?
@ guess it's time to go buy a bunch of neat looking normals and try to prove things out!
Keep checking them out you'll begin to notice the differences

I know nothing about snakes, but that real orangey one is the most beautiful ball python to me so far out of any video I have seen yet, (this week) so thank you!

Animals deformed in the egg don't develop color to what it is supposed to be. Its hard to tell what it would of been with the color not being present. Awesome vids Dave. Hope one day to meet you.
I'm pretty sure coloration is just the last thing to develop regardless if it's deformed or not. I've seen some in the egg and think they're hypo, then a couple days later that thought goes away.
I can't really tell much with the first clutch, but in that second clutch I love the deep orange one! I don't really like Banana because those babies don't stay that color, so my goal is to find other combos to create that same color and have it stay just as vibrant and clean into adulthood.
I’m actually the opposite, I really don’t like the banana ball pythons as babies, I think the purple colours look really weird and unnatural haha.
That banana enchi cinnamon is gorgeous. Champagnes are absolutely horrible... They're ugly and carry a wobble... So it's a big no. Anything with genetic issues is a no for me though.
Obviously it's too early to tell but what if the homozygous form of that morph is a fatal morph kinda like the spider

Yeah agreed. Insest is always asking for problems. There's always some Insest but we should keep it to a minimum.
@@turtleman190 not a huge issue if it is down the line a bit. But babies bred right back to mom is not good husbandry in my opinion. And he proved why in this video. Deformed dead super form of the snake. Probably would not have happened if it was a few generation out.
@@Edna2u you due realize almost every morph in reptiles mainly recessives are related to each other one way or another since they typically come from 1 animal. It's a very common practice in reptiles, one of the main reasons is money/lazy to get it the quickest way.

Wow that banana clutch is insane talk about fire power, I can think of so many crazy directions to take that project, one of them would be to go the Sandblast Cinnamon het pied direction with those crazy Champaign Freeways and make some off the wall Urban Camo-ish combos. The possibilities are endless. It's too bad about that little hatchling that didn't make it full term, I'm not sure if that was a super form I think it is an undeveloped snake but hopefully we'll find out this upcoming season. Either way it's a cool Dinker project, kind of looks like Hurricane, Trick, or Blitz. This was a great video as always.

Yowza that orange nanner is incredible! Way nicer than those diluted washed out champs. Champagne only looks good with Enchi imo.

Good Lord that is the most ridiculous Banana clutch ever, talk about fire the odds Gods were feeling extra generous with that clutch, specially with how the Champaign was divvied out, just beautiful snakes every single one of them. I would hold back all of those.

Omg amazing as always. Plus I agree ball pythons are amazing as well that's why they are my favorite. I used to raise fancy guppies I did that for 20 years and I did it because the amazing color more so you could get the same as ball pythons and now I'm hooked on pythons and that's all I want to do!

Hi Dāv! I have a question. I've been watching tons of reptile videos and at least on the screen I decided i love snakes and want one or more eventually, but in reality I've never really interacted with any. How could I go about getting some real interactions before I start looking to buy a snake?
When the corona craziness is over, I suggest visiting a local reptile expo. You can see a huge variety and ask the breeder any questions you have

Come this October I'm going to be doing a few pairings with that will end up with world's first mainly because I have a newer morph that hasn't really been bred to anything but it is like mahogany so I can assume what some combos will look like
Enchi puts more pattern in the freeway as well so the last one could be either of those. Awesome clutch and I am sorry the baby passed its to bad after all that work something like that happens. Hopefully next year u can hit it and we can see how amazing it is.

No way to know yet. Maybe this is what happens to the super form, but it could also just be bad luck, animals die sometimes and animals don't develop right sometimes

Hate that the super baby didn't make it :( the coloration reminds me a bit of Brian Barczyk's Lori balls with the dark coloration and the super making a grey and black snake I wonder if it's something similar genetically but with the pattern upset as well ..... Very cool!

Just start with a hognose they dont bite and are alot smaller once they get warmed up to that then ease onto somthing else bigger

They should be called the gold flaked blueberry morph because of the purple and bright yellow and orange patches look like gold flakes at 11:25

Just crazy when you get all these genes and the snake is just all yellow or something. I find some of the genes so subtle but I'm newer to ball pythons so the obvious ones are easier. I'm still getting excited about simple very obvious stuff .

What does it mean when you say a female maker male?
Usually clutches have higher percentages of males, so it is a male who is capable of producing high numbers of females in clutches..
I'm sure you have seen a dude walking around with 5 daughters.. same thing.

a lot of snakes don't distribute widely when they hatch in the wild, so they're able to take a small amount of inbreeding, which would occur in the wild.

Yes, but the veins in the egg have served their purpose by the time hatching time comes so they are not needed any longer.

A better explanation, theres little veins that run just underneath the surface of the egg, once the babies have pipped the whose clutch is ready to hatch so cutting through those veins doesn't harm the baby at all

What you're looking for and what you see when it's in the egg and it doesn't make sense because when it leaves the egg gets a different so you don't really know and that's my point you guys. That's my point. You guys are fooling around with a bunch of balloons with oil on your hands thinking you know when you don't know for sure until you breed those babies with another baby so get back to me in 5 years two three see I don't even know I'm just guessing LOL
