With the exception of core knowledge that could adversely impact your livelihood and ability to support your family (I.e. trade secrets etc), I firmly believe down to my core that knowledge and successful business resources/systems are meant to be shared. The fact that Justin said “you could even steal this design and put your own logo on it” just made me so happy. There was no hesitation to offer other competitors the opportunity to use a resource JKR uses in house and that they’ve found to be the most effective. It just further shows that they’re in it for everyone in the industry and not just money and competitive superiority like this industry was in the past.
Stuff like that just makes me feel good and I love to see it.
I love how she still wanted to hang out with you after her bath. She didn't get the memo that she was supposed to be mad at you for stealing her eggs.😆 Thanks for this video. Super helpful info! 💕
She knew he was going to take good care of her babies.
She's such a beautiful mama 🤩
You take such good care of her.
I love it🎉🙏♥️

Great Video and info, thank you for sharing....🙏🙏🙂🙂👊👊👊👊
I know why everyone loves and trusts Kinova in the industry. Thank you!
Glad it was useful!
Love it!
Do you ever have issues with condensation dripping on the eggs from the press and seal?
Thanks
Well good video
Oh and that female wow 🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥 Video
Great tips. What is a good incubator to buy for someone who only has 2 clutches per year ? ✌️
would be nice to know the settings inside the incubator!
nice shirt !
Amazing pro-tip video Justin. We really appreciate all the tips and knowledge. Now I notice with some other breeders & how they prep the eggs prior to incubation. If you can explain to me or perhaps include it an explanation and differences in having eggs laying directly on the substrate versus having eggs sit on perhaps light Def users or easy hatch trays? Also why do some breeders incubate eggs the exact way they find them, stuck/bunched together and piled. Like Gavin from Ball2U says and believes...”How they lay is how they stay”! Thanks! 🤙🏽🙏🏽☝🏽
That shirt is 🔥
Justin , so you never go back and check for moisture accumulation on the press and seal and change it out?
Easy hatch tray and water as the medium. Doesn't get any easier and less room for error.
Perfect timing my female just went into pre lay shed
Did they hatch yet
@@ronaldhenderson3190 no but there 13 days away from hatching out
I thought that you had to keep them off the vermiculite or they would mold? That you had to use the light diffusers?
Hey Justin what temp do you incubate at?
Do you have any holes in the shoe box for ventilation to prevent mold?
Hey Justin, I followed your how to about setting up eggs and I’m worried, since I checked my eggs just the other day and they seem slightly discolored on the bottom. I was thinking maybe since they’re setting in the vermiculite?! Enjoy the rest of your day
I had a complete clutch of albino carpets roll around the female as the clutch was too large. Didn’t candle and just put eggs in incubator. 100% hatched
Would it be ok if: the eggs were laid a couple days before you find them and they're stuck together really well. And some have the embryo slightly turned? Not sideways but just turned a little?
I see that you place eggs directly on moist substrate.
Other breeders are against this because they say it will rot the eggs.
Can you enlighten me please. I’m confused.
Btw, YOU da MAN!!!!!
Your tips and wisdom is what keeps us hobbyists and small time home breeders on point and on our toes.
Thank you sir🤙🏼
Yep it works great. As long as the mix is the right moisture. No issues 🙌🙌🙌
Thanks for the kind words!
What’s your opinion on using coconut husk for incubation?
Yeah I seen David Levinson doing it with all his clutches when I was at his facility has great success with it was thinking about doing it this year myself.
Where can i buy that tub?
What quart tubs are those for the eggs?
Hi, just checking if I understood it correctly, your egg box is completely air-tight without any holes, and you keep them that way until you hatch them, right? Also, what would I do if I see condensation forming on the seal? I see several other comments asking the same question, but for some reason I can't see your replies. Would be great if I can get these sorted out, as I plan to breed in the future(with a male that will be shipped overseas to Korea from you guys next year!). Thanks for all the great content! Really helping beginners out from all over the world.
Hello looking mom there.. Very great video ..do you put any airholes in the egg tub.
@@KINOVAReptiles ok cool thank you very much for the info and great videos you put out for us
I get when u say cover the eggs and do not open them till you see a pip. What if u start to see an egg go bad? What do u normally do?
Hi Justin I'm from Taiwan, and I am a senior high school student.
I like your videos very much!!
Then I have a question, when I use press seal to seal the box, should I open the box regularly? If I should, how often should I open it?
@@KINOVAReptiles Ok!! Thank you very much❤
How does the lid not condensate and drip onto the eggs?
First of all thank you I just got so scared I’m on yet comfortable enough to pull apart my eggs yet. But I got super worried I saw the yolk sack on my third clutch I thought the egg was dying
Hi Justin first time breeder here is this the easiest method for first time incubation??? Nervous for first time breeding
Question, using a temp gun, when I check the temperature in my incubator it reads 90 degrees, the top of my egg box reeds 90 degrees but when I check the vermiculite area from the outside of the egg box it reeds 95 degrees, that's way too hot and makes me nervous, what temps do I go on?
Great breakdown. When it said Glad Press n Seal I thought it said “Chad Press n Seal”! (I forgot to press n seal on my first clutch this season...ugh
PnS Chad!!!😂😂😂
What if your eggs deflate a little bit after you put the in the incubator?
One question I have that I didn’t see answered in this video: when do you try and feed after removing the female from the eggs? TIA!
Where do you get the purple and blue sticky notes in that size? I can't find anything like those lol
@@KINOVAReptiles oh dang. No wonder I couldn’t find any 😂
You can use dawn dish soap to wash your snakes?
Yes you can! They don't need it except for extenuating circumstances like these, though.
So justin, you put the eggs right in the vermiculite? You don’t use hatching trays? Have you tried trays?
@@KINOVAReptiles thank you for answering! So you don’t have any issues with mold or eggs rotting?
Ive heard so may people say they have to replace the press and seal every week so the air doesnt get stale. Interesting you dont that.
I am hatching out my first clutch. Should I be concerned that there might not be enough oxygen in the incubator when they hatch? It is a mini-fridge I converted into an incubator.
Quick question. When using press and seal, do you have any concerns of condensation dripping off the PnS onto the eggs? I’ve always heard if the eggs get wet the will die. Do you believe that to be a myth? As your eggs are in direct contact with the wet substrate?
@@KINOVAReptiles thank you for the quick reply! I’m going to have to try your method. We are constantly wiping the water off the inside of the lids. Might try a bit less water as well.
why do eggs sometimes get moldy?
Whatis the best commercial incubator for ball pythons in the 600-800 range???
@@KINOVAReptiles Thank you sir
DG pied female... one day I'll have my own
Do these snakes live in these sad grey boxes the entire time? o.O
Does dawn dish liquid harm the snake? I’m old school and was taught never to use soap.
Not at all!
What is the reason for the light diffuser I see so many doing? Just had my first clutch, 13 eggs and set them up identical to this.
Some like them because they don't want the eggs sitting directly on the damp substrate, and also they can use pins and such to hold the eggs in place. We've tried them and didn't notice a difference so we just do it the old fashioned way. :)
@@KINOVAReptiles Thank you so much. Absolutely love the animals produced at Kinova and how well the business represents the hobby.
@@RAM_C5 Appreciate that! Thanks for your support!
Is it normal to lose a couple eggs? 2 eggs from my clutch died. The temps are at 89* the humidity looks good, I just re-candled the rest of the clutch and they look good. Is this something I should be worried about or does it happen?
@@KINOVAReptiles I want to let you know I really appreciate you taking time to answer my questions. It's not always easy to get a response from a credible source and not everything is answered in UA-cam videos. I'm just starting out as bedroom breeder and now is a critical time for me because I've put so much in that a failed season would be devastating.
Also I am in love with your pomeii"s!
What temperature do you incubate at?
Around 89
@@KINOVAReptiles thank you for replying so quickly!! You guys are awesome thank you so much!!
I finally got my first clutch this year but all the eggs were not sticky is there a reason for that
They are only sticky right after they are laid! If they have been sitting for a bit they are dry.
What temp do you incubate?
around 88-89
@@KINOVAReptiles thanks
@@KINOVAReptiles how many days before cutting?
is there any other situation were you sould wash your ball python?
Not necessarily but it doesn't hurt them in anyway. If they slithered through feces or something and you wanted to clean them you could wash them.
Why do you soap them?
To remove the scent of the eggs so they will start back on food
I'm assuming if you wash the female good she will be roaming and pushing trying to find eggs for awhile. Hoping because that's what mine is doing.
My only question is, why completely cover them where there is no oxygen gettin in? Just asking don't bite my head off
Got it, was just a but confused considering in the wild they aren't sealed, only reason I asked. My last question, I promise. I see alot of breeders using egg crate, is that necessary, and Ive also seen numerous breeders put 2 small holes in the egg box, why do they do that?
Justin, I know you are busy, but any chance you could answer my questions within the next 24-36hrs as mine is about to lay any hour now
Thanks Justin
Thanks
