Love what you did with this pad Jess. You've gotten me into the 6 x 6 paper pads. I'm still kinda new to card making but with more practice I think I'd like to make cards for children's hospitals too. I think it's a great thing that you do. You're kind of a mentor for me, that's the way I look at you. I love to craft but you're the first person I ran across that takes their talent and uses it fir a wonderful cause. Ty's sweetie. Enjoy the rest of your day.-Kristina🤗
Hi Kristina, Thank you for such kind words. I have always enjoy sharing my hobby with others and for years I donated to Operation Write Home, but was so happy to find a new way to spread the love. Cardmaking is all about sharing joy to me. Have an awesome day!
I really love how you make so many cards from one pad of paper. It’s frugal and environmentally friendly and awesome! Thank you for sharing your ideas!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! So great! I just dropped 2 orders for multiple Doodlebug 6x6 paper pads & stickers, etc. I cannot wait to start on the cards for the kids! Your tutorials are such an inspiration to me... that everyone can give a gift of love to a sick child without spending a small fortune. Thank you, Jess, for these videos; otherwise, I don't know that I'd have enough courage to try this on my own. God bless you and your Mom and family. 😃💖
Thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad they have inspired you to start making cards for kids as well. It brings me a lot of joy to make the cards for the kids and even more that others are deciding to join.
Bless your heart! I recently was able to send a bunch of my cards to a child with cancer and am so ready to start this type of card drive as a permanant thing- I absolutely love doodlebug and am certain the sweet little images appeal to the kids- I remenber being totally into stickers- once again what a wonderful thing you are doing
What a fun batch of cards! Doodlebug is always a good paper choice. They make such fun and cheerful designs. Thank you for your giving spirit. You are surely blessing so many lives with your talent and generosity.
These cards are so thrifty! I never would have thought to make rhem so cute with ribbon scraps! I have never seen your work before and I think these cards are adorable and the kids will love them! Thanks for such wonderful inspiration!
Your cards turned out very cute and I'm sure will be enjoyed by the kids who receive them. I am just starting a stack of cards for CFHK...I have been searching for a new charity since OWH closed, and was glad when you mentioned this one. Thanks. The cards were a great place to use your ribbon, it just adds a new element to the simple printed papers and stickers.
Love the cards. My sister and I just started making cards for special projects. I love the videos. It is a great idea to focus on a specific pad with accompanying stickers, wash and ephemera. Thanks for sharing.
you are amazing! I watch you put these cards together so effortlessly and I'm in awe. thank you for sharing and for offering the give aways. That's very generous of you.
You've inspired me so much with these videos. I got into cardmaking because I send a weekly card to my niece. Because I'm a little ridiculous about these things, her cards usually involved a lot of work and coloring. Well, now my other niece has gotten old enough to realize when her sister gets something that she doesn't, so we're up to 2 cards every week, and spending 3 hours on each card is just not realistic. Enter your videos! I've always liked the look of doodlebug, but patterns are way outside my comfort zone, so it's been incredibly helpful to see how you work within a paper pack to make a lot of fun cards quickly. I just got my first doodlebug pad the other day, and I am excited to apply the lessons I've learned! Thanks for sharing all your creative energy.
Cute cards, Jess! So glad you started with this one. My set is being shipped now and I can't wait to get it so I can put some cute cards together. Loved some of your paper combos that I wouldn't necessarily have put together. It's nice to seem them in action. Thanks again!
Super cute, awesome idea love the doodlebug papers are my favorites too!, I can't wait to see more of your ins-pirated videos, Thanks for sharing with us!!
Love the suggestions on how to use up all the small things up and the little cards. I always have scraps and want to stop that so really like the ideas.
I'm a beginner to card making and I am SO happy I found your channel! So many great ideas, and so inspiring! I LOVED the way you used the smaller strips to create a card! ^_^
Loving these videos they have been great for a beginner to learn some basics in and u always add something new to each one. I appreciate these videos so much!
Really loved your take on thess products. I have a recent DD haul of the same collections that you bought so these ideas are great! Thanks so much! Also, i am happy to know i am not the only one who keeps pretty ribbon in jars looking for a way to use it.
Thanks! Enjoy your crafting with these new collections. I think there are quite a few of us with too much pretty ribbon stashed in jars. hopefully you can use some up with these paper pads.
I'm new to cardmaking and I came across your video and you inspired me to use an entire 6x6 pack of paper. I still suck at exactly measuring so I just went with my gut feeling and did my own thing. Now I just need to get comfortable with using ribbon. Thanks so much.
That's so awesome! Glad you were so inspired. I'm not much for measuring myself, I just get asked a lot of questions about it so I try to mention it when I can. I think using ribbon flat like I did on most of these cards is probably the easiest way to start.
Really enjoyed the video and seeing all the different cards you were able to make. I will be checking out the organization where you send the cards. I love making children's cards but don't have any little ones around.
Awesome job! I have just ordered this paper and can't wait to make some cards. Not sure I'll get 27, but I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for making these videos! Margaret S.
Watching you make your cards really amazes me! Love your videos! I'm very new to making cards. I spend far too long staring at my supplies and afraid to start cutting the little bit of paper that I have. You make it look so easy.I should just get used to cutting up my paper. I mean, if I cut wrong, I can just use it in a different way than I planned, right? 😂 lol. Thank you for your videos. They are inspiring!
Hi Kimberly! Welcome to the wonderful world of cardmaking. Thanks for your kind words and for watching! I totally agree. You can find a use even if you make a cutting mistake. I added some measurements to my blog posts however in case that's helpful.
As always I enjoyed watching your 6x6 paper card making video. Cute animals. I personally bought just the panda pop from doodle bug for my daughter but not sure what I will do with it. Thanks Jess for sharing your cards.
Jess Crafts sorry I have been trying to respond via hello however I don't have a URL and I'm just not familiar enough with how it works. I love your videos and I am so excited to have been chosen as a winner. Please help me with private messaging you my address. I could do it via Facebook if you have a site there.
cute cards! I think its great that you added a few things from your stash. I have very little ribbon. I totally agree that paper could replace the ribbon. I don't make as many cards as you do. More than 20 a week is AMAZING! I make a lot and I use mainly wet glue. I find it easy and affordable. I use either UHU or art glitter glue. I buy the latter from Maymay of Maymay made it.
I mostly make cards for kids so it would probably be more boyish than masculine. But I will keep the suggestion in mind. Might be a good idea for donating to the USO or something similar.
Wish I did but I just eyeball it. I don't worry about it too much as I'm sure none of the kids will be taking a ruler to it to measure. I have heard of other using a layering product but never seemed worth it to me.
You have really inspired me to take the next step in my cardmaking! I researched some places for card donations and have planned some cards for this awesome purpose! Thanks Jess! (Laura @ Ricaura Creations)
I just went to the website- how awesome! I am so in! Question, i know it says no glitter- but how about sequins in shaker cards? too much? or the cards that move in the die cut tracks?
Sorry but it's hard for me to say. I would suggest emailing them. I think the slider cards would probably be safer but it's hard to know without asking directly.
Yes. I use very thick card bases. It is the 110lb Recollections from Michael's. Much thicker than their standard stuff. Also thicker than the 80lb Neenah. I am in love with thick card bases.
Thank you Angela! I haven't found one in the UK yet. I finally found one for Australia. I'm trying to build up a page on my site with resources for donating cards.
Awesome! I used a few polka dots with this collection and I think it can work. But also sometimes you can turn over the polka dot ribbon and use the solid backside instead. Might be worth a shot if you want to do some stash busting.
Are you happy with your swingline trimmer? I am really thinking about getting one, but not sure what type I should buy. Thanks for any help you can give me.
I really enjoy mine and felt like it was a good deal compared to replacing blades on my old fiskars trimmer. It can be difficult to make really thin cuts though. I cut a ton of thick cardstock for bases though so a heavy duty guillotine was a must have for me.
Loved this paper pad. Your designs are so cute. Have you heard this joke? "What do you call a bear with no teeth?" "A gummy bear!" Please, add me to your drawing. Thanks.
I love these card videos. You have inspired me to use my stash and to make more cards. I am looking for a place to donate :) I love making cards.... but have issues remembering to actually mail any out!
The kids will certainly love these cute cards. It's very kind of you to donate so many cards and this kind of paperpack is excellent for kids.
Thank you! I really enjoy giving my cardmaking purpose.
I have never seen Doodlebug products. This make sit so easy to create quick kids for grandkids. Love them!
Doodlebug is so awesome for kids. You should def give them a try.
I love these cards. What a fun paper pad. I love how you incorporate as many of the scrap pieces as you can into the cards.
I love that you make these cards to donate to charity. You sure know how to stretch out the pad to get most bang for your buck. Good for you!

Hi Wanda! Thanks for your kind words and for watching! It makes me so happy that people are enjoying these videos.
I am glad that I am not the only one who tucks ribbon and such that comes with packing into my stash. Thank you for the inspiration.
Between crafting and teaching I keep way too much stuff that other people consider trash. You're def not alone. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the tip on glue and thanks for watching!
Really enjoying your videos! So inspiring. How about a masculine paper pad and cards? Thanks for sharing
I mostly make cards for kids so it would probably be more boyish than masculine. But I will keep the suggestion in mind. Might be a good idea for donating to the USO or something similar.
Some of those ribbons I was yelling, "No, please don't use that with that background!" LOL But they all turned out really great!
Love these videos, they have given me great ideas on how to use my paper pads 😊
These are adorable!
Love what you do cards are so cute
I'm so amazed by what you can do!! Very nice :)
these are so very cute! great job
Just found your channel love it!!! Tfs hugs
Very nice as always! Do you have any tips for centering paper when doing layering?
Wish I did but I just eyeball it. I don't worry about it too much as I'm sure none of the kids will be taking a ruler to it to measure. I have heard of other using a layering product but never seemed worth it to me.
ok. i'm in. what a lovely idea. thank you so much!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE your 6x6 paper pad card videos! More! We need more!! 😃💖 P.S. Seriously, we need more.
You have really inspired me to take the next step in my cardmaking! I researched some places for card donations and have planned some cards for this awesome purpose! Thanks Jess! (Laura @ Ricaura Creations)
That's so awesome! I just checked out your channel. Great cards with the SSS kit. Have an awesome day!
you could also use crepe paper to make a ruffle where the ribbon is. It's really cheap. you can find it at the dollar tree.
Cool idea! Thanks for sharing!
Love love the cards!
Great cards!
Another fun batch of cards. Do you use a heavy paper for your card bases since you don't add extra layers?
Yes. I use very thick card bases. It is the 110lb Recollections from Michael's. Much thicker than their standard stuff. Also thicker than the 80lb Neenah. I am in love with thick card bases.
Love watching your videos you make them look so effortless. Like you idea of donating,l must look into a similar project in U.K.
Thank you Angela! I haven't found one in the UK yet. I finally found one for Australia. I'm trying to build up a page on my site with resources for donating cards.
Great video and I am inspired to grab my ribbons. Alas, lots of polka dots. LOL
Awesome! I used a few polka dots with this collection and I think it can work. But also sometimes you can turn over the polka dot ribbon and use the solid backside instead. Might be worth a shot if you want to do some stash busting.
Love them all! I order atg from the tape depot- great quality and very inexpensive to order in bulk..about $160 for 144 rolls.
Thanks for the tip!
I just found you. I love your cards. I'm excited. I love donating cards. When we donate the cards are envelopes needed?
Thanks! As mentioned on FB, it depends on where you're donating them. Happy crafting!
These are so cute! I love that you donate to this cause :-)
Thanks.
Love that joke! Thanks for sharing. I'll add it to my list.
Very cute cards and you gave me some ideas:-)
I love these card videos. You have inspired me to use my stash and to make more cards. I am looking for a place to donate :) I love making cards.... but have issues remembering to actually mail any out!
I'm pretty good about donating cards but not so good about sending to family and friends. LOL
Just found you videos can you tell me the organization you give your cards to?
Thanks
Really awesome cards, new subby here. tfs
