🎉yeah finally someone who understands how nervous I am to get started listening to you and studying what you’re saying is going to be my key so I tell you I appreciate you very much and thank you
You're such a G. Thank you for this sir. I really want to have my own business already but there just so much information to learn it's overwhelming but this helps.
Hi Dave, I do custom decorating but I would love to make a brand. I'm always thinking about it just haven't came up with my on design yet. I'm not giving up. I wish I had caught you live. Great information! Thank you.
We're here to help! I've seen many custom decorators spin up their own brand as a side-hustle to their own decorating business, it's a great way to be your own client in a way! My biggest piece of advice is to always market them separately as the audience for custom printed apparel and clothing lines are different and can confuse potential customers of each. Social media is a great place to see if people would be interested in certain designs or apparel styles- Using AI (like bing.com/create) for image creation can sure help.
hello dave, not sure if you have answered this question but do you know if the heat press consumes a lot of electricity? would it be comparable with having an a/c running? I'm trying to see how impacted the electric bill would be. Thank you
Great question! I did not cover it here in this session. Most likely it will be minimal depending on the usage (The more you press, the more its going to take to help it maintain temperature). An A/C unit is likely to be much more noticeable in power consumption than a heat press, even if you're pressing all day every day.
Getting started is most certainly the hardest part! But, looks like you found some great advice to get you going :) You can start an LLC as early as you want- There is a small cost (typically around $100 depending on your state) and It can separate any personal assets from business assets and allow you to get a tax ID & business license for wholesaler rates.
Absolutely! While Hotronix Heat Presses are definitely our favorite to use, you can use any heat press with adjustable pressure to apply our heat transfers. We'd love to send you free samples to try on your press, we'll even cover shipping: www.transferexpress.com/marketing-tools/free-samples
The marketing kit mentioned is available here: www.transferexpress.com/marketing-tools/easy-prints-marketing-kit The special $35 price was for the live webinar attendees. Hi Dave, I do not know if this message will reach you. I am watching this 7 months after it airs. I am in Uganda, a country in Africa and I have a serious challenge with getting blanks. Kindly give me a solution if you have any.😊
Hey Friend! Sorry to hear about your challenges finding apparel. I wish I could help, but I'm not too familiar with wholesale suppliers in Africa. I wasn't able to find any sources from Kenya, however, there seems to be a few wholesale apparel distributors based in Nairobi, Kenya that may be worth looking into! I've heard from several shops that are not in wholesale distribution areas order large amounts to help offset the shipping costs, but I understand not everyone's budget allows for that. I'm sure you'll find a supplier to can help!
@@transferexpress thank you so much for the lead, I will look into Nairobi suppliers. Someone told me about Dubai as well and also South Africa. I sure will let you know how it goes 😊☺️ thanks again for the help, much appreciated and greetings from Uganda. Apwoyo (meaning thank you, in my language)

Hi Debbie, while there's a few great options available on the market, my #1 recommendation is the Hotronix 16 x 20 Auto Open Clamshell Press: www.transferexpress.com/heat-presses/hotronix-auto-clam-heat-press It's a small footprint with a fully featured press. Complete with a magnetic auto-open feature, accurate heat with a cast-in heating element, interchangeable platen capabilities, pressure readout and rock solid construction it's a press that will grow with you and help you print apparel efficiently. Check out this feature comparison: ua-cam.com/video/z5ZPxgkwMN0/v-deo.html
The Maxx Clamshell press is very similar in build, but without the pressure readout and auto-open feature: www.transferexpress.com/heat-presses/maxx-press The 11 x 15" is available for $850. A little bit smaller, but still incredibly well built is the Craft Heat Press. At $375 this mighty press has a 9 x 12" platen size, a cast-in heating element as well as over-the-center pressure adjustment, something that's usually reserved for more expensive heat presses. www.transferexpress.com/heat-presses/craft-heat-press
