- Ever wondered how much you can make with a screen printing business? Artem Ionitsa makes $170K/month his screen printing company Logo Unlimited, and he shares how he started and grew his business in this interview.
This video is sponsored by Shopify, a leading name in eCommerce solutions. Find out more here: www.shopify.com/upflip
Artem started Logo Unlimited out of a desire to do corporate merchandising better. He wanted to take the industry beyond left-chest embroidery-and even beyond screen printing t-shirts. Today, they produce everything from custom apparel to promotional products like mugs, pens, and high-tech items like Bluetooth earbuds. In this interview, we’ll find out what kind of space and equipment it takes to give customers this variety (and what it cost Artem to get it all set up).
One thing that sets Logo Unlimited apart is the personal touch they give to their products. Everything is done in-house and driven by the needs of their customers, allowing them to offer both transparency and high quality. We’ll learn how this approach has helped Logo Unlimited grow and what systems Artem uses to ensure a consistently satisfying customer experience.
While all the printing is done in-house, the blank items Logo Unlimited customizes have to come from somewhere. We’ll find out how Artem picked his suppliers and hear his advice for securing reliable, high-quality suppliers as a screen printing business. He’ll also share strategies for the other side of the equation, like how he attracts both individual and corporate customers, and the best places to advertise to attract each.
A screen printing business can be a very profitable option for creative entrepreneurs, and this video is a great place to learn how to get started! You can find out more about Logo Unlimited online at logounltd.com/.

Hello There @UpFlip ,
I Would like to know the laser etching machine (manufacturers details) that they using .
Thanks in advance.
I have saved up about 20k that I am willing to invest into starting a business. Right now Screen Printing or a Shopify store are my first choices. With NFTs (crypto) being the second choice. I am not in the business yet, I just know I can be good at it.
PPAI, ASI, The Book recommendation and finally learning the term Debossing we're my biggest take aways
Hey my friend what are some the cheapest machine you recommend
@@eokusa screen printing?
Gentlemen! Thank you very much for having me on your channel and letting me showcase my humble operation. Would love to have you back once we expand next year. Again, thank you for your time and professionalism, your channel is awesome and You guys rock!
Thanks for sharing some insight of your business with us. All the best
Great sharing. Hope to start mine as well in Malaysia
Best of luck! your a true genuine owner and person. Wish you much more success!
@@zfarooq915 thnak you Zain!
I really enjoyed your insights as well as seeing how hard you’ve worked to build your business. I am in the process of learning all aspects of the screen printing and embroidery business and feel it’s important to learn from the ground up so I can step in in any aspect of the business if the need arises.
Host: What did you start out with? Owner: "Just the will." This is more important than everything else. Starting a business takes grit, patience and perseverance. Congrats Artem!
Indeed! Nothing would've happened without the will to do it!
The will and also a couple hundred thousands dollars lol those lasers ain’t cheap!
You mispelled "loads of money"
Top apple exporter to Russia or something. Ya dude had millions and connections. This isn't a dude starting from nothing.
Will and a few Mill
This interview is the real deal. No BS. There is no short cut to success. Hats off for being so frank and open.
May you reach that goal
the owner Artem is genuine. I mean he speaks his mind. TAKE RISK, simple right, but powerful..
We 'fell' into this industry some years ago, starting with a Bernina sewing machine with an embroidery kit. We're still a part time home business with word of mouth marketing only, but we now have 2 commercial single head embroidery machines, 2 vinyl cutters, heat press machines and a solvent print and cut machine. And like the gentle man being interviewed, not much spare time! Great interview.
The way to step that up is to use tiktok as advertising!
Hey Crazy Old World! Thanks for watching. Did anything you saw in this interview make you want to change your marketing strategy? Or how can you get your business to go to the next level?
@@UpFlip It's one of those tricky things where my wife and I both work and given the crazy world we live in right now the risk to jump into this full time would be a little too much. A bit like grabbing a tiger by the tail, but it is something we discuss.
As to marketing, the website would be the quickest and easiest upgrade. Word of mouth and the relying on quality output, personal service and getting the job done on time is the first part of the road to success. We often catch the 'second round' sale when a client realises the larger supplier is charging the same or more and often using inferior garments. Schools are a great source of sales, but beware organising committees, you have to keep them focused or it can be like herding cats into a cage!
I run a small print shop in Nairobi East Africa and this is such an inspiration. One day I wanna be where Logo Unltd is. Keep up the good work you show to us.
I just started my printing business. I have a heat press and cutting plotter and canon printer. Watching this video has given me hope to grow my business. thank you so much.
Not a single minute was waste. Very clear and full of information. Loved it.
Awesome Kadypady. We're so pleased you feel this way. 😀 Thanks for stopping by the channel and leaving such a great comment. Please let us know if there's any way the channel can improve.
This is the most straight, no bull interview I've seen lately. Appreciate the honesty in almost every answer which other owners might not even tell you being the 'industry secret'.
I Like the way he said, "if you suck, you're out.." 27:15 "))
But at the same time not every one will have 100k to buy the laser to start with, or 150k as an initial budget. All in all very informative. Thank you~👌
Hey Jetto! Yes! We love having straight forward, honest interviews. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. 😍 Are you looking to start a screen printing business too?
@@UpFlip Well you never know!
I have a keen interest in cotton apparel, specially in Tees and hoodies! Got few friends who are into manufacturing.
hi Jetto. agreed! there are a million ways on how to start small and not make many mistakes as I did. unfortunately for me, I learn everything the hard way. still have plenty of debt but have to reinvest every dollar i make in order to grow
@@LogoUnltdswagg Dedication, hard work and honesty definitely pays off, sooner or later.
Keep up the good work. Sir.
Everyone might not have $100k, but with UA-cam, you can find many ways to get a Business Loan or simply use Business Credit. If you want to do something bad enough, you WILL find a way. Good or bad. The challenge is figuring out how to use the equipment 😂
I’ve worked for artem personally! Great shop and they’re going to do great things! So thankful for the experience i gained working there.
I see that you've worked with Artem... what screen printing software did you guys run for order management and what software did you run to help manage order fulfillment jobs that you were shipping? Thanks!
Bravooooo! Thank you for sharing valuable information. It’s nice to see businesses getting into every aspect of their business to process their talent with quality. One stop shops are truly into what is done and how it’s done. Amazing to see this business in action!!

This is a straight no bull interview.
This was an absolute amazing interview! 100% value from start to finish!!!!!
I started my screen printing company with a table top press and a propane bottle heater to dry the shirts. We used the sunlight to expose the screens. Today we are doing over a million dollars per year. I started with no money, no investors and no experience. I watched a ryonet video on how to screen print. Anyone can do this if you have basic skills. You must understand economics and business. If you don't you are wasting your time.
Hey Pax 45! That is an AMAZING story. Thank you for sharing. Where is your company located?
@@UpFlip we are located in clovis CA. All signs & screen printing inc.
That’s amazing man can I ask where did you learn about economics?
@@hermandiaz8455 business economics has always been interesting to me so I just kind of self taught myself. Usually when I ran into a road block I would just figure it out. Are you in the screen printing business?
@@mad125100 just recently launched a clothing line but business economics is great for any niche I believe so I was interested in knowing how u gt started
Seriously! Best host for the show. Love watching all these series especially when this Host is the one asking the questions!

Yeah he didn’t dodge a single question which was refreshing in the age of UA-cam influencers sending you on wild goose chases only to realize they’re pushing a book.

It’s a great interview, I found this video on right time:), I bought all the printing equipment from China 2017 but unfortunately I just start unpacking and setting up yesterday lol, anyway was many reasons stopped me to start it up and now it’s the time the dream come true✊🏿, you asked deep and important questions and he is very honesty, I really respect both of you, this video helps for lots of peoples out there who is beginners and struggle to figure out to connect the dots, business success isn’t about how much money we have, we just need passion and dedication, I love your job bro👍
Hi I wish the best for you could you please tell me where did you get all those machines from China thanks
Ok the Owner is honest. I like that. Thank you for sharing your Knowledge.
We love honest, helpful interviews. Thanks for watching!
As a business owner who struggles with employees, as most do, the biggest take-away was this quote…. “We want employees to be assets, not liabilities!”
Treat them like machines they’ll never respect you
@@samkotiach5403 this has nothing to do with the way you treat you’re employees. What he meant is having employees be productive, efficient, loyal, etc. That’s an asset. That’s something that is worth it’s weight in gold to a business. Not employees that don’t care and are only there for a paycheck. That’s a liability.
@@oiboy626 I agree but being pushed to be productive or someone naturally loving what they do is two different things . A lot of jobs push for these huge expectations but end up having miserable workers ..
@@samkotiach5403 that’s why you get rid of those employees. Those are liabilities. It’s no hard feelings, it’s business. The employee has to fit the job and the job has to fit the employee. We have 15 employees now. It took us a while to go through our employees, analyze them, and see if we’re a good fit. We’ve let go of plenty. Now we have a solid team and everyone loves it here. We have company outings, bonuses, etc. Those 15 people are assets to this company and will make my company grow. Anytime we see someone slacking or not being a team player, we have a review and make a decision to get rid of them or see if they will change. It’s all about building an A team.
Really appreciate the transparency of the business owner. Great content here!
Thank you eric. This business owner was very transparent. 😀👍 We're so glad you are enjoying the content. What type of business would you like to see feature on the channel next?

thank you Dave! I learn as i go, and there is something new to learn every day. have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much for great insightful details! I own an embroidery business and we currently have 5 machines now, looking into screen printing/DTG so we can expand our business more. I would say the hardest parts about this POD business are:
- A decent website, in which we have been working for the past few months but its still in progress and you have to invest LOTS of money into this
- Trusted source of blank apparel and goods to embroider/print on.
- Will to continue. Sometimes it can be quite tiring and we do make a lot of mistakes, thus lots of unqualified goods can make you feel defeated.
Good luck with your business! Thanks for watching! We appreciate you.
what kind of machine do you use? I cant seem to get a good answer on a good embroidery machine to get in the price range of $5,000-75000 thanks
Such a great episode. This review shows the most important thing is luck😊
Hello Upflip . My name is Andrews from Ghana. I always find your program to be inspiring. Please will like to see you Guys interview Artist Painters as well . Thank you 😀🙏
He is right about wholesaling...My company does procurement...its best to go direct with your customer NO MIDDLE company or person in between! I'm learning this and my company is not even 6 months old!
YES! Direct only!
Great advice. What would you say is your biggest tip for companies looking to do this?
@@UpFlip Work direct with your customer...if you have someone in between you have to split profits...if you go direct all profits are for your company...but its hard like he says to get the good 'customer' who has the money and willing to work direct with you....my procurement company mainly deals with overseas companies so its a challenge to build my clientele...my company is 4 months old...
Another great video served up in my feed by UA-cam. This was a great interview with encouragement!

@@UpFlip You’re welcome; glad to be of support. I would love to see videos on your channel of how authors, speakers, and/or coaches/consultants have grown their business. You have to have a massive operation in screen printing to make decent money imo.
Not really. We seek a good fit for our small company. There is profit in anything, just be ready to search and filter out the ones who are too big/small/demanding/unstable and you’ll have a bigger advantage than most.
