In today's world, blue-violet light is everywhere, digital screens, TVs, fluorescent and LED lights. And unlike invisible UV radiation, exposure to blue-violet light can affect your eyes and your health. Blue-violet light can hurt people of all ages. DuraVision BlueProtect is specifically designed for people who spend their time in front of the computer, TV or tablet, or are frequently exposed to LED or CFL lighting. The light filtering system blocks most of the harmful blue-violet light while beneficial light waves that regulates circadian rhythm can pass through. Protect yourself from lasting damage from blue-violet light. Ask your eye-care professional today about ZEISS DuraVision BlueProtect. - Наука та технологія
Is it beneficial to add BlueProtect on top of PhotoFusion, which has a BPI 30 rated indoors? If yes, what are the potential compromises? Thanks.
My wife just received an order for this exact lenses, well it’s supposed to be a blue protect but it seems to transition to a dark blue when outside, and when inside it has a really nice clear blue sheen. I’m assuming she didn’t get the correct lenses, but should we even be mad about that?
Hi, I have heard the blue light protection layer gets damaged in direct sunlight. Can I wear glasses with your lenses with blue light protection outside?
Sir I hope you are fine.
- I am about to buy new glass but I am really confused. If I purchase (zeiss digital lenses blue protect), can I use it outdoor for example, driving or under sun?
- Are the object at night will be seen in blue color. I mean I am afraid that I see objects in blue color or I see them with glare.

Tell me please))) I work eight hours a day at the computer and want to protect my eyes. in Ukraine I can buy Zeiss Single Vision 1.5 DV BlueProtect UV. is it
help me?
Hello, that's is better than duraVision Paltinum? or it's diferente?, thank you
Beto Durand BlueProtect is specifically for blocking blue light from electronics and fluorescent lighting. Platinum does not do that, though it does help reduce some glare from electronics. From my experience, Platinum is more suited to everyday use rather than BlueProtect.
Please suggest me below 10000/ - blue protect Zeiss lenses?
does it have UV protection like Nikon's?
Yes, UV protection is included.
I've seen some comments online regarding UV / Blue light reflecting back into the eye when light is shining from behind. Is this true?
Also how does the coating perform in outdoor sunny environments as well as night time driving?
YES!!!!!!!!! I am so upset with the amount of glare i constantly see. I just got them and it was such a huge let down.
I just paid all this money for glasses that turn everything you look at Slightly Yellow and the GLARE IS HORRIBLE!!!! when you watch a video of someone and it shows the blue glare on the front.... its about half that bad wearing them...
Hi Mason. This coating is meant to protect you from the harmful blue light emitted by digital devices. It does not replace tinted or polarized sunglasses. It is similar to the ZEISS DriveSafe coating, so it will give some glare-reduction benefits when driving at night.
As for reflections coming from the back, it is true that this can be an issue, and the only thing that prevents it is a coating on the backside of the lens. We have such a coating, called DuraVision Sun. It can be included in the lens, no matter what coating is on the front of the lens. Hope that helps.
@@Howard_Roark Yessss this yellow hue is pissing me off and i was not told about this from the eye place. I work with computers and graphics and while reducing blue light may be helpful I absolutely need to be able to see colors correctly. It's not just whites that are yellow, but greys, brown, etc. Highly disappointing.
@@ZEISSVisionUSA There is no true evidence that blue light is harmful to the eyes. Even the AAO says so. Some it may cause some strain and headaches perhaps but even with the coatings that can happen. It's staring at anything bright and theirs a whole lot more blue / natural light produced by the sun and no one says that is harmful. It's the same with fluorescent lights and the glasses do nothing to help reduce the strain on my eye from those either. I feel this is a huge sham at this point and I absolutely cannot wear something that is going to distort the color of my view especially when the work I do relies on seeing more accurate colors. The key is too look away from your screens often and reduce their brightness to be honest. These basically just reduce the brightness / tint of the screen. What I find object-able though is this affects other things, like paper, the floor, the wall, etc. Everything is more yellow. www.aao.org/eye-health/tips-prevention/should-you-be-worried-about-blue-light
@@tophert6049 hey mr T. If I were to tell you you can have a dust-filter in your vehicle; do you expect dust to enter the vehicle? Blue protect filters out blue light; meaning blue light does not enter the lenses.
hello brother
But does it protect you from ultraviolet A and B light?
Yes, UV protection (A and B) is included.
I like blue protect but am scared of buying photo fusion because I had digital lenses and due to more blue tinted it distorts my eyes please anything u can say about photo fusion
How can i test if my lenses has blue protect
You can look for a white surface and compare if its tone changes when you put on the glasses. The white should be warmer with the blue protect lens. Also the residual color from the anti reflex it's purple or blue instead green.
Leonardo is correct - but your eye doctor or optician can also confirm whether they ordered ZEISS DuraVision BlueProtect for your lenses.
does it filters 100% blue light from digital gadgets or only part of it?
It filters out the spectrum of blue light deemed harmful, and allows in the rest. Here's a good article about that: "There is such a thing as 'good' blue light" www.dailyoptician.com/zeiss-stories/2015/8/7/there-is
I just purchased lenses with these glasses, my question is can I wear these outside as well?
Yes these can be worn outside as well.
Please let me know if you are satisfied with your glasses, Im about to buy it, because I have an eyes problem, my eyes turn red essyly because my job is arround 8hours in front of monitor, and I think this glasses will save me, but I want to know from someone how already use it to ensure me, thanks a lot.
Buttface I'm also interested in knowing after you've tried it out. I'm an optical assistant, and I've been hearing a few complaints about the BlueProtect that I've been promoting. I was also wondering if I should get it myself. Thanks.

Zeiss Quality produced in Chennai India is the worse, it was a slap on the face.
Lesson learned, don’t trust in branding, quality depends on skill not on brand
I want to go for blue light blocking lense bro. Will you suggest some. I bought this useless lense and it hasn't done its job well.
