I just got mine made today. Writing this commenting wearing the same. Have to admit, the eye strain from the blue-violet light is negligible now.

its very much better than airwear...i have been using it does not attract dust in INDIAN ROADS..THATS awesome essilor..am thankful for your research..I need not clean it very often with prevencia..

It would be nice if Crizal would mention in their ads that everything you see has a pale beige yellow look to it with these Preventia lenses. I took mine back.
Jeff Walther were they able to refund you or at least remove the coating? I just got mine and I hate having the yellow look.
Absolutely, they remade the lenses with the Crizal Sapphire coating. Back to normal.
Did they charge you for remaking the lens? I just got these and even I hate the yellow tint to it.

Not scratch resistant but reduce eye strain .

hello Recently I have purchased Crizal prevencia in Dubai my concern is everyone says that it won't come with a fog id but for me, it came with a fog id, and also when I tested for smudges I can see the fingerprints on the glass. please guide me whether it is original or fake, Also one more thing I didn't get the authenticity card of Crizal prevencia on the card instead of that I got a blue colour card Essilor Crizal on it
Crizal prevencia does not comes with fog id, it does have authenticity card and there's Crizal prevencia written on it.
Price mentioned in Crizal Prevencia catalog is Rs.3490/- but you can get it paying approximately Rs.2887/- including 5% tax.

I thought the blue light filtering was cool, but hated that ugly blue hue that appears on the lenses whenever there's excessive lighting.

The worst Crizal lenses I have ever had. Not only do they make everything you see have a yellow tint, yes no more white, the purple tinting on the lenses makes everyone looking at you just see purple. Forget about photos of yourself with these, you will hate it. As the wearer of these you don’t see the purple. Another area to point out is if you do any photography camera or computer work, you will never be able to white balance properly with these because of the yellow tint. The fact that these are suppose to be for people doing computer work, but changing the colors you see when having them on makes them pointless. Returning these tomorrow to get a new pair with out Crizal Prevencia, possibly looking at Crizal Sapphire.
can't see any color changing, looking at palette of various warmth. Obviously, seller informs you that this might not be the greatest idea for someone working with graphics, however, if you still buy it despite its superobvious blue light feature, the color change is microscopic, good for video editing, no need to replace it with a lower model. Reflection on pics, doesn't matter if it's violet or yellow, it's still there. Overall, just another exaggorating comment in this thread.

Yes, I do see white as pale white and yellow as little bold (hd)yellow. why? is ti original or i got duplicate lens?
I got it. Outer layer of lens is magenta, and inner layer is green. Thus green light is filtered out less than blue and red. As we have red cones more than blue, we end up with yellow.

mbdAli Yes. Blue light above a particular wavelength (beyond azure color towards violet) is harmful to eyes. They tried to filter out that light and also green (which is beneficial) to balance out the color spectrum. Basically white is blue+yellow (in human eye all cones are activated just by these 2). If you filter out blue what remains is yellow.
I have recently bough essilor crizal prevencia with extreme exitment . But It's totally waste of money. Post cleaning the lense with best effort, even through the cloth, which has been provided with this piece.the lense looks not so clean as much expected with respect to price. The glass look still heazy.

Look... Water and oil and scratch resistant are just marketing gimmicks, they are useful to a certain level but they resistant not (proof) and the real benefit is in the lens it self and the protection it provides from different light sources like UV, Blue light and glare

Crizal means money making
It is a complete scam. The lenses are extremely expensive, yet, on their website they claim 4/5 people find crizal prevencia comfortable. That means, only 80% of people find the lens useful. I am in the 20% who found that Crizal prevencia made me feel very uncomfortable. If you want to save your money, I would suggest, RUN!
Beter than all lens
I'm using cristal prevencia lens for 10 months....actually truly speaking it's a worst experience for me.....I never seen this many scratches in my lens for nearly 12 years and used more than 5 glasses.....crizal prevencia is the only lens I got so so so many scratches....really not worth for money....truly speaking....fully disapponited

Hi I have just ordered mine. Can you tell me how you clean your glasses and store them? I have been wearing glasses for a long time now and never hard scratches but not sure and I think there is also a video on you tube where they test the scratches and they did better than standard. And how are you finding the yellow tint and the blue reflections?
